Great sandwiches plus super cute interior! I ordered the cranberry turkey on the and it was really good. They home make all their breads and roast their own meats. Highly recommended. Don’t let the exterior fool you. Only drawback is that they only had one person working, so our order was a bit slow. We had a family of four order a full breakfast in front of us. But my sandwich was worth it!

I’ve only been here for lunch, but Oh. My. God ! Everything here is so amazingly fresh with layers of amazing flavor. The owner & chefs are complete masters of their craft and come up with flavor combinations that you’ll hesitate to try, but you’ll absolutely fall in love with. They have so many sandwiches, salads, & soups — all homemade with love and attention to detail that will satisfy the pickiest of eaters. They also do dinners that everyone raves about, so I am very excited about those too. Why are you still reading this? Go to Whippoorwill Café for lunch today ! You’ll thank me immediately afterwards…

The place is a refurbished house on the top of Horrell Hill. The parking lot is small and gravel, you walk in to have your eyes entranced by colors most decorators would shun, windows circling half the room, mismatched chairs, and an eclectic assortment of art and kitsch on the walls that seem to belong to many different personalities. The ceiling is home to an inverted Christmas village. And it just works… it’s charming, delightful and you just want to be there. As you move from this windowed area further in, a warm waft of scents just lure you in and kind of muddle your thinking. A lady behind a counter warmly welcomes you and you are then presented with a long list of items that all sound excessively delicious. My advice, especially at dinner, if you come hungry, grab a cuppa and an appetizer and chillax. Quality takes time and this is well worth it. This is not fast food or a professional team of chefs with food prep bots, and we’re all the better for it. I have lived near this place for over ten years and usually its hours just never coincided with my own, so I am thrilled they extended it so we could finally try it. We opted for the pork chops with gravy and the BBQ chicken with cheese. «Elegant simplicity» is what comes to mind. We had mashed potatoes and steamed carrots as sides and as boring as that might sound when I type it, the taste was quite the contrary. This is food cranked up to 11.

This my go to lunch spot when I’m working on the farm. Everything is fresh and from scratch. No freezer! Must try the soups on a cold day! Serves dinner Thursday and Fridays.
