This is one of my favorite stores at the Galleria. The staff is attentive without being obnoxious. I generally like the Murad products and like that I can try other products without paying for it first. They also carry lines that are more organic and natural for your skin, like Origins. Be sure to get on their Beauty Rewards program. You will get a nice sized sampler for your birthday and your reward points add up to get more freebies.

Sephora is a truly great company in terms of providing a variety of cosmetics under one roof. I have had the pleasure of visiting several stores throughout the country and overseas in Europe. With that being said, this specific store is horrendous and the only saving grace was its former Store manager who now manages the Sephora located at the Summit. The Staff: Particularly all of the color and skincare leads are extremely disrespectful, hateful, and unprofessional to all seasonal employees and coworkers whom they dislike in general. The irony in all of this is that none of them possess any creative expertise or skill level compared to their colleagues in larger stores located in NYC and Los Angeles. Anyone who gets hired here who shows exceptional talent is forced out by intimidating and passive aggressive behavior from managers. Clients of ‘color’ such as African Americans for example are passed off by color and skincare leads onto less experienced employees. There is clear racial discrimination that takes place in terms of which clients are attended to and by which employee. I would recommend that anyone applying to this store be it for seasonal or permanent positions be aware of this and very cautious. Overall, Sephora is a great company to work for but Riverchase is the *worst* location in Alabama. The product selection is «ok» but The Summit has much more and is better equipped to handle larger crowds. Call ahead of time to schedule an appointment for a makeover.

My experience has been great this past year. Most of the Sephora staff are very informative with their special tips here and there, which I really appreciate. Because of my frequent visits lately, I get to see a lot of familiar staff there and one of the most wonderful staff is Steven. He is very helpful, whether you need just an eye liner or foundation. I really love his honest opinions and helpful gestures. It seems like the customer service improved this past 2 years. Even if I receive coupons from Ulta, I will always choose Sephora at Galleria Mall.

If I could give this place less than one star I would. It was disgusting. I have never seen such a filthy looking store. Truck stop bathrooms are more sanitary. There were half-used lipstick all over the place. Makeup racks were a total mess. I was terrified to touch anything because everything looked so dirty. Overall terrible experience. Will not return.
