Dr. Whitworth and his staff offer routine pet health exams and primary care services such as allergy testing, cardiology, dentistry, dermatology, flea/​parasite control, health certificates, internal medicine, microchipping, nutritional counseling, ophthalmology, orthopedics, reproduction, and vaccinations.

Additionally, Dr. Whitworth offers surgical services like spaying/​neutering as well as diagnostic services (radiology), boarding, grooming, and emergency services.

Although Patton Chapel Animal Clinic has been a Birmingham/​Hoover establishment since 1951, Dr. Whitworth, Dr. Buird, and their staff represent a new, excited ownership that is committed to providing a full service companion animal hospital with an emphasis on excellence, compassion, and client education.

Business Owner

Chase Whitworth grew up on a cattle farm with five siblings in Madison, Alabama developing his passion for veterinary medicine while working at his father’s small animal veterinary practice.

Dr. Whitworth graduated from Bob Jones High School and then attended Auburn University, where he received both his undergraduate and veterinary degrees. As a practicing veterinarian, Dr. Whitworth takes special interest in surgery, reproduction, dermatology, and internal medicine. He is also a member of the Alabama Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association.

Dr. Whitworth lives in Hoover, Alabama, with his wife Lindsay and his German Shorthaired Pointer (Z). He is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys traveling and golf.
