The service manager told me I was «aggrivating him». By far the worst customer service I have ever experienced, they are just rude and disrespectful. The car I purchased is still running horrible as they never fixed it after 6 visits. I now have to pay to get it fixed by a mechanic who knows what they are doing.

I have bought numerous cars from merchants over the years and usually have had great service. However recently I went there to purchase a $ 30k sports car, put a deposit down and told them I would be back in 2 weeks. When I returned 2 weeks later to buy the car in cash, I was told the car wasn’t ready. I found that strange but left to come back the next day. The next day I was told they couldn’t find the car, then I was told I wasn’t approved for financing (I reminded them I wasn’t financing but buying the car outright) and then finally they told me the car was sold. First I asked why did you have me put a deposit down if you wernt going to hold it? Isn’t that the EXACT purpose of a deposit? They couldn’t be bothered to answer that. When I asked why they wernt honest from the beginning, I got ignored again. Now no one there bothers to return my phone calls.
It’s really disappointing because I have happily purchased multiple vehicles there in the past, but they really dropped the ball this last time, and they won’t be getting any more sales or recommendations from me.

Went there yesterday looking for a bad credit loan. I have two cars I’d like to trade. After I gave the salesman all my info, and doing the research on what my trade ins should be getting, approximately $ 9K, he offered me $ 1K for both, without even looking at them! Then told me I’d have to come up with $ 2K down. How is that helping someone with bad credit? «Sure we can sell you a car if you have bad credit, just pay for the whole thing first!» Don’t advertise you help everyone with bad credit if you don’t. Never again. Hated car dealers, still do. Going to need a new car soon, just never again from Merchants…

Went in looking for a pickup truck, Lisa, worst sales lady ever, tried to pull a bait and switch and pre-​apporved me for a Jeep Liberty… not a pickup. Then when she discovered I hated the Liberty tried to sell me on a Nissan Rogue or a sedan… not a pickup. When I told Lisa I wasn’t planning on making any decisions today she instantly went into bitch mode. Told my coworkers I stopped in here and they all said to stay away. Terribly rude salespeople. ⁰⁄₁₀ would never recommend to a friend.

Offered me $ 8k trade on my Hummer H3 Luxury. Trade value is $ 12k. Claimed it «needed a lot of work», when I asked what it needed they only mentioned 2 things (which I knew about). One was a $ 80 part and the other is minor rust on the bottom of a door. Definitely not $ 4k worth of repairs.
Avoid this place especially if you have a trade.

Watch out for cheap sales tricks. Dealerships like this are the reason people hate car shopping and car sales people.
Two stars because I am happy with the vehicle I ended up with and the price I paid for it but I would not recommend this dealership because of the sales/​finance team. They made for a miserable experience.
While still negotiating the sale price of the vehicle, I was passed to the finance department while the sales team «would see what they could do» about the price of the car. The finance team hurriedly pushed a contract in front of me to sign and acted like everything was final. When I informed him we had not finished negotiating the sale price of the vehicle, he seemed confused and passed me back to the sales team. This was either a lazy and careless miss-​communication or a very sneaky way to get me to sign a contract I had not agreed to. Either way it is behavior of people who do not care about taking advantage of a customer. I was there for 8 hours and they tried to play every sales trick in the book on me. From wasting my time (so I’m invested in the vehicle) to acting like best friends with me (cause they found out we have mutual acquaintances). I’m assuming it is because I am young and they think they can take advantage of me.
I have since tried twice to cancel my extended warranty plan. The first time I waited half and hour before being told there was no time for the finance department to talk to me. It has not been as easy of a process and initially described while I was buying my vehicle. I am getting an extended warranty from someone else because I do not want to give them my business anymore.

I feel that this one star I’m giving merchants may be to much but Unilocal won’t allow any less. The reason I am writing this poor review is because a family member of mine recently purchased a car from merchants and they purchased their bumper to bumper warranty as well. My family member called me to come listen to a noise from the engine compartment I explained to him that it sounded like there was a valve that was out of adjustment that was making the knocking noise. He is currently borrowing one of my second vehicles for he dropped off the vehicle he purchased from merchants the other day to be repaired. They told him it was normal and that they were not going to fix it cuz it was normal wear and tear. Who ever this mechanic is that diagnosed his car needs to do one of two things go back to school and stay awake during class or find about her career path. Sorry for the bad review but people need to know what they are buying.

Horrible. Gordon who test drive my trade in burned out clutch. Car stinks. Offered me 2 grand for my trade. The trade in value in 5 grand. Went in to talk about what he did to my clutch as you can smell the car from 20 feet away and he became angry and confrontational. Avoid at all cost. Have to take them I court now Gordon is a angry prick!

We went here in search of a used car this past weekend. We thought we would find something with the large inventory they had. This was our first stop in our shopping. The salesman was nice and not pushy but you could tell he definately wanted us to drive off in a car that day. After telling him our price range and what we wanted he showed us some cars and they were all junk. Every car smelled, several like stale cigars, one had a ripped front seat that was hand sewn back together. Each car had several large scratches all over them (one looked like it had been sideswiped), dings and dents, one even had a crack in the windshield. Another cars digital radio panel was cracked and smashed in like someone punched it, and it wasnt even useable. When I brought this to the salesmans attention he knew nothing about it. Why was this car even on the lot? These cars were only 2 – 3 years old but looked so worn out and beat up. I was told these were all ‘executive lease’ cars and one of Merchants owners supposedly owned one of them. This is how an owner treats a new car? Wow. My 13 yr old vehicles body and interior was in better shape than these. I couldnt believe the poor condition of these cars. At a price tag of 18 – 20 grand, no way! I would be embarrassed to drive one of those off the lot.
Pricewise they were easily 3 – 5 thousand dollars overpriced. Not willing to negotiate either. The salesman claimed they had the best cars within a 100 mile radius. Ha! So we left and went elsewhere where we found the same model/​year of cars and the prices were lower, the cars had less miles on them, were clean and spotless and dent/​scratch free. We found what we were looking for right away.
I suggest to look around before buying at Merchants.

i got caught in an awful snowstorm and my windshield wipers froze. Took the car to this dealership and Dennis was amazing! Not only was he knowledgeable, but he fixed my wipers free of charge. Kudos!
(Plus the whole shop is covered in Marilyn Monroe stuff!)
