This place is awesome. Close to my work and reasonable prices. I got the spicy shrimp twice and have not been disappointed. The food is great and not too expensive. Definitely saved myself a trip up north. I will be coming back to this spot more often. Service is fast too. No complaints what so ever. Even if people say the guy is a grouch, I haven’t had any issues with him. He makes great food and I’m happy with that.

Big News–
They now have Hawaiian Shave Ice.
There was a Kona wagon that would go to the school just once a week to sell shave ice but now keiki can go everyday here. It is expensive though IMHO. Tastes just like normal shave ice.
The plate lunches are nice that they have greens come with them normally. Steak and shrimp plates are good. Not wonderful over the top fresh but just well done, and cooked with enough salt and pepper to bring out all the flavor.
It is really not as crowded as I would expect with such a good location. I too do not go there often.
Price is ok, a little bit more than what I would pay for for the portion size — but still reasonable.

Love this place! The owner/​cook might not be super talkative, but he does cook right. I always get small shrimp or chicken plate and it’s enough for 2 meals, so I always have some leftovers for lunch. Warning: I don’t eat a lot! if you like to eat a lot-​get regular plate. I always request white rice and green salad instead of kimchi and not even once my order was messed up. I highly recommend this place for a quick lunch/​dinner fix, just paid $ 6.50 for chicken plate and it was $ 7 for SMALL shrimp plate. Small plate looks regular to me, regular is probably bit bigger?

Went here a few times. The food is ok but the guy in the truck is a grouch! I like to have my gravey separate so it dosent soke into my rice if i decide to eat it later. I think the grouch dosent like to give out extra containers. The last time i went to get a locomoco i asked for the gravey on the side and he refused. Wow, i would have payed for the container. O well, no sale for him! If you go to try his food please ask for your sides in separate containers:)
