These guys are the best!!! Cory and Demetrius helped us last week with moving all our stuffs to a new place, and they are just amazing. Very professional, personable and even asked us if we want anything from starbucks before coming to our place. They worked really hard and they didnt waste any time. Worth every penny! After a week, we had to move back to our old place. We called them again and Dave and Yugen helped us this time, again, still sooo happy with the service! These guys really exceeded our expectations. The price is also pretty straight forward, no 2hr minimum required (like other moving companies), no extra/​hidden charges! Plus we got the $ 50 discount twice! Thank you so much YOU MOVE ME, for making this moving experience less stressful!

Corey and Dimitrius were amazing! The move took a little longer than estimated, so it cost a tad more than the estimate (but less than I imagined) because I have a treadclimber that was difficult to move upstairs to the second floor. 2 doors had the be taken off to fit it, but the guys got it in EXACTLY where I want it. The guys were very professional as well as friendly and personable. I was comfortable and at ease with the process. I will definately recommend You Move Me to all of my friends.

I scheduled my move from Moanalua to Hickam AFB. The morning of the move, the 2 gentleman called me to verify our move time and also asked if I wanted some Starbucks coffee upon their arrival. The two moving guys came at least 30 minutes earlier than our scheduled time. They were super warm and personable, very professional and super quick. Upon their arrival to my new residence, they moved everything exactly where I wanted them. They cleaned up their mess and were so happy to help me. We didn’t encounter any issues with getting onto the installation, if anything they were very familiar with the process. They even honor and provide a military discount!!! My initial quote was around $ 500 but due to their diligent moving, my final price was just under $ 400. (I also recommend using Bungo Boxes to expedite moving, see my review)
My roommates used them the following week to move their belongings and according to them, their move went just as smoothly.

These guys really were awesome movers just like the ad says. They were friendly, professional, and very efficient. We had a pretty big military (DITY/​PPM) move, but David, Kimo, and Travis handled it easily. They showed up early, loaded all of our stuff in just a few hours and unloaded just as fast. They even went out of their way to weigh the truck twice for me since the military requires it for reimbursement. They broke down the beds and other large items and reassembled them for us on the other end– which was no easy task considering my 4 year olds’ bed requires a degree in mechanical engineering to assemble! I will definitely recommend these guys to anyone doing a local move and especially a military do-​it-​yourself or personally procured move.

I thought I would have to leave a negative review, after a few hiccups, but youmoveme (Matt in particular) was great. We live on base in Honolulu, so the movers had to get a pass to come on base, however there was a problem with one of the guys ID to get one base, which left us with one mover! Oh no! The options were to either go back to the Office and get another guy or use the one guy (Matt). My husband decided to help him haul the 5 or items and washer and dryer. I was saying to my friend that we’d have to figure out what we owed him because our original quote was for two guys. He worked for about an hour and we went to pay him and he said due to the mix up, there would be no charge. We were really impressed and not expecting that at all. It was a really great customer service experience that went above and beyond our expectations and not a problem at all with anything they moved.

I recently moved from a condo in Aiea, to a condo in downtown Honolulu. The last time I moved, I did it without professional movers and I swore I’d never do that again. What a pain in the … Anyway, we started asking around for recommendations and You Move Me was mentioned by our friends at Aala Ship Service.
I called Matt on a Monday hoping to get something set up for the upcoming Friday but I had to also check for openings to reserve the freight elevators at my old and new buildings. This is a huge pain so I recommend just making these reservations further out whether or not you know you’ll be packed and ready to go. Anyway, one building was open, but the other had it reserved all day. So I called Matt back again to see if we could move it to Saturday. He already had two scheduled but gave me an estimate time of 1pm-​3pm for the movers to arrive. Once I secured the freight elevators at both locations, we were good to go.
On the day of the move, the movers called to ask if they could come a little early. Of course! Let’s go! I had about 95% of my boxes packed and ready. Just had to toss some small things off on the side and tell the movers to take everything else. I was surprised to see three guys show up instead of the two I requested but they also assured me that they would only be charging me for the 2-​person rate. Great!
Brandon, Kimo, and Jordan came in like a whirlwind wrapping up my TVs in moving blankets and taping them up, and doing the same for some of the furniture. It’s such a relief when you finally see all your boxes stacked up start leaving the place. These guys were really fast, efficient, and friendly too. HARD WORKERS! What would have taken me days, took them just a few hours from prep to delivery.
I will not hesitate to call You Move Me again for any moving needs and as a tip, try to request Brandon’s team because he’s the best!

We needed to ship a furniture set from Honolulu to Kaua‘i. The dispatcher saved an appointment date for us before we even accepted the estimate, to be sure we could move ASAP.
Matt McKinney was the local rep. Matt listened to our moving objectives and thought of solutions to achieve our goals as economically as possible. You can tell he has his customer’s best interests in mind. His clear expertise with inter-​island shipments (using Young Brothers) and temporary storage options allowed us to make money-​saving decisions and move quickly. He thoroughly explained the estimate so there were no surprises with the bill.
Matt’s team was punctual and professional. The furniture was wrapped securely and loaded fast. That’s very appreciated when you’re paying hourly rates.
I would definitely recommend You Move Me and Matt’s team. We were calling several other moving companies which resulted in many unanswered voicemail messages, but there was no problem getting a hold of someone at YMM when we had questions.

One of the best moving experiences I’ve had. First I called them on Thursday and they agreed to move me Monday. Second my last move with another company took almost 13 hours (with 3 movers) and this move took less than 6 hours (with 2 moves). Brandon and Jordan you two guys really made this a great move. Most definitely would use this company or recommend them to friends.

Elias, Kimo & Matt were very professional, on time & had a great attitude throughout our entire move. They even rearranged our entire storage unit to fit more. They’re extremely good at what they do & I highly recommend anyone who needs help moving to hire You Move Me!

One of my friends recommended these guys! We are moving from one house to another about 2 miles away, so we were going to have someone come do it for us. I called and made a reservation with them, and the guy that helped me was very friendly! Helped me out with any questions I had, however, I just called to cancel that reservation because a uhaul is a lot cheaper and we decided to do it ourselves. He asked why we were canceling and offered a cheaper rate, and I said if you can do cheaper than $ 50 then I’ll stay with you guys. He then proceeded to say that we would be paying way more than that due to the miles and gas used, plus we wouldn’t have the equipment. That’s okay!
He proceeded to either put me on hold or take another call, but didn’t say anything to let me know, so I almost hung up, then he comes back and was had a very rude attitude and said your reservation is cancelled and hung up on me.
I’m sorry but I don’t want to use a company that has a rude attitude with any of their customers. I called back to complain and wanted to speak with a manager and he paused, and then said (in a not so convincing different tone of voice) «okay you’re speaking to a manager» so I told him it was rude to not let me know that he had put me on hold or taken another call, and that he hung up on me. He replied back with an attitude about how he did say he told me he was taking another call and that he didn’t hang up on me. I said I’m not using you guys ever again and hung up.
I’ve heard good things about them, but because of this I will not use them.

A move in general is stressful. My family & I aren’t moving within the state… we’re moving to the mainland. Called around to different moving companies and found You Move Me on Unilocal as everyone raged about their excellent service! Spoke with Matt for an accurate quote since the online tool only does quotes within the islands of Hawaii. Brandon came to our house one day to take a look at everything we’re shipping. One of the biggest things, is a professional tool box. Easily over couple hundred pounds. Before Brandon left we asked him if the tool box had to be empty? He said «no, it should be fine if we leave everything in» and the other one was a Harley. At first You Move Me was going to build a crate for the Harley, but we decided to have Harley build it for peace of mind knowing it’ll be done right, secured, and couple hundred less to build!
Moving day has arrived, and we actually weren’t sure what time the movers were coming… Brandon called & said they’d be here in 5 – 10 mins (it was some time before 8am). Which is OK with us that it was early, we wanted it done as soon as possible. We were quoted for a 3 man crew, but only 2 came. Well, the crate that was built for our stuff wasn’t strong enough to withhold the weight of our tool box (the base made cracking noises)!! Matt ended up having to come to assess the situation, because… the crate that they built, could not fit any of our other stuff (besides the tool box & our tv). We had the option to empty the tool box, or leave it as is & they reinforce the bottom of the crate with more wood they’ll buy from home depot. We went that route. Next, it was trying to figure out our stuff… shrink wrap it or put it in a couch box? After Matt gave us quotes how much it’ll cost us more, we just went with the couch box.
They were nice to pick up our Harley from Harley Davidson and even call us to tell us when they were on their way to Aloha Freight.
After that headache… next came the hugest nightmare we encountered in our life! Payment. We gave Matt our card info over the phone, but gave him the wrong billing zip (we forgot we changed our address with the bank already) so, the payments were declining. We gave him the right billing zip & Matt kept saying the payments were still declining on his end. I called the bank and found out, there were 8 attempts, 2 reversed, 4 declined, but…2 TRANSACTIONS WERE APPROVED. so, instead of our move costing less than $ 6500, ended up having about $ 13,000 being held from our account! AND WE’RE LESS THAN 2 WEEKS AWAY FROM MOVING.
With only $ 130 left in our account, we can’t pay for anything else for our move, or food for ourselves, & we have a 2 year old daughter. Very upsetting, but Matts been very attentive & hopefully trying everything he can to get this resolved.
**I will post an update with the result of our money**

This is actually the second time that I called upon You Move Me Honolulu to move my belongings. The first time I had Matt and Elias. I believe Matt is the owner and he is AWESOME! He was so polite, fast, and personable. I loved having him. I called a few days ago to move me again into a home. Elias and Demetrius came to rescue. Elias brought me Starbucks. Too cool!
They started promptly and everything seemed to be going well, but Elias wasn’t as good as he was the first time he moved me. He kept telling me and my family that he had a meeting for his other business at 3pm and it was his goal to be done by then. I felt really rushed, so I decided to help out. Demetrius was like my little ray of sunshine. He worked so hard and told me, «We will finish. Don’t you worry.» He was a dream.
We made it over to my new home in 2.5 hours and then Elias again started to talk about the time. He then asked me if I wanted him to build the bed that he tore down. Really? Come on now. This can’t be the great company that I hired before. I asked him if he could call the person that he was meeting and set up a new time. He did so, but only pushed it back an hour. Demetrius still kept working hard and made me laugh a few times to keep my mind at ease. Demetrius even offered to stay behind and finish the move so that Elias could make his meeting. Elias started to rush by trying to pick up huge pieces of furniture by himself! Not only was that dangerous to him but he scratched and dented some of my belongings and the walls by doing so.
They were able to complete the move in 4.5 hours. Elias was happy because he could make his meeting. What I didn’t like toward the end and during the move was that he tried to recruit me in his Amway business. It made me feel uncomfortable. My husband is on a ship, I just gave birth, and my house is getting packed up and this is time you want to throw me a sales pitch!?! No way! Don’t do that when you’re working for another company. It’s just plain tacky.
I will still give them 4 stars because I remember how kind and quick Matt was the first time and mostly because of Demetrius. He was so great. He really knows the definition of customer service and he was a hard worker. Make sure you ask for Demetrius. Thank you, Demetrius! I don’t know what happened with Elias. Maybe he acts differently when he is around his boss.

We used You Move Me this past weekend for a move across island. I was so thrilled that someone answered the phone on the first try! They were able to schedule me and give me a quote over the phone with only 5 days to spare. Our previous moving company, Royal Hawaiian Movers, made me fill out a stack of paperwork then changed their quoted rate when they realized I had wanted a Sunday move. Not the case with You Move Me.
The movers were super friendly, very professional, and very efficient! They wrapped all of our furniture like each piece was our most expensive. There was no damage at all, which is a first in my many years of moving. I was able to have a good laugh with all three of my movers, Dave, Eric and Demetrius. Loved the coffee delivery, too. What an unexpected perk.
I can’t recommend this company enough. I’ve made over 10 moves with professional movers and this is easily a best experience. Thank you so much, guys! You saved the day!

Well, moving really sucks period. We used You Move Me based on the recommendation of a friend. I guess this review has two parts;
1. Setting up the move was fairly easy. Mainland call center but it was easy enough to have someone locally get a hold of me to setup a quote. Matt came out to our place and gave us the quote. Once I firmed up the elevator reservation we set up the move time. Pretty simple and easy process. Kudos.
2. The move itself. Elias and Dom showed up, relatively on time and pretty much got right to work. They even brought me my morning Starbucks. Love it. Everything went fairly smoothly. The only issue I had is that they only had one wardrobe box and I had asked for 7. This ended up not really being an issue as I just stuffed the one box full and found another one and just shoved clothes in there. Very friendly and professional guys. We only went over about a half hour from the low estimate and came in below the max. We made up some time during the moving in portion of the move despite the fact that someone stole our elevator and left it stranded on the 21^st floor so I had to go up and rescue it!
In short, I would recommend these guys because I believe they did a great job and worked pretty efficiently. Good Job.

I was told they charge $ 180/​hour. There is an additional $ 75 charge for use of the truck/​gas, of which there is no additional charge for mileage or extra stops (in my case, to Goodwill to drop off donated boxes). There is an additional charge for any packing supplies they need to use.
I called You Move Me on a Thursday and they were able to schedule me in for Saturday. I was very impressed! On the last weekend of the month, too!
I purchased boxes and packing supplies on my own and had all of my things boxed and labeled for the movers when they arrived. They quoted the time estimate as being 2 hours. I had 30 boxes (all 20 — 30 lbs), one table set, one bed frame and two mattresses. I was only moving 10 minutes away. Another mover quoted 90 minutes, but 2 hours still sounded reasonable.
They sent 2 people over and they made quick work of moving all my boxes down. But, when they got to my kitchen table and bed frame, they said they would have to disassemble them.
They dropped off boxes for me at Goodwill, which was a huge help.
When they got to my new place, things really started to slow down. They were already past the two hour mark when they asked if I wanted my furniture reassembled. I said yes, even with the understanding that it was costing extra because they charged in 15 minute increments. Since it took them hardly any time to take apart, I wrongly assumed it would be just as fast to reassemble.
When they finished it had taken 3 hours and cost me a total of $ 540 (not including tip, which I tipped 20%). Still, the guys that came were all very nice and polite. None of my items were broken or damaged in any way. I was still satisfied with the service, overall.
After they left, I started putting sheets on my bed and it came apart. When I removed my mattress, I saw the bed was put together and the screws were in place — but had not been screwed in at all. Unreal!
Had it not been for my experience with the bed, I would have given them ⁴⁄₅ stars (deducting a star for a pretty intentional change of work pace within the last hour). But, considering I paid additional time for him to put together the bed and it was not done successfully — I’d say ³⁄₅ stars might even be generous.
It was not a terrible experience, but I’ll go another route in the future.

You Move Me was very professional from the start.
Moving is very stressful. Our family of three had heavy and large furniture. In addition, we had a lot of stairs! Corey, Jared and David were exceptionally professional, kind, friendly and kept us up to date of the time, anticipated time, charges and anticipated charges. We have quality furniture and did not want any damage to our home and furniture. You Move Me wraps every item to ensure that there is no damage! In addition, I called last minute to change our move date because our closing date was pushed back! Matt was accommodating and fully understanding.
Will definitely use this team again for our next move! Hard workers and worth every dollar!

Elias and Jurguen, first and foremost, thank you for being on time. Time is something that is valuable. Some things were a bit slow to start with, but in the end they were able to bill me fairly, which is something that I’m grateful for. Elias and Jurgen also had to go through my stair case with a huge couch, something I had to do myself previously when I moved in. They did it with a positive attitude and worked together as a team to get the job done.
There is nothing more I respect than working with a company that is true to their word and fair. Thank you guys for your services and I’ll be recommending your company from now on.
