This place is great, I refuse to take my car anywhere else! Especially with the VIP package, it’s totally worth it! Oh and don’t forget about the awesome customer service!

The owner called me and provided me a professional customer service. I believe that the misunderstanding was caused by lower position worker.
Every business have one or two employees that are not qualified for the job, but that does not mean that whole business is bad.
In this case, I felt that owner is very professional and willing to take care and help his customers, like he helped me. Had a very good experience in the end.

My experience with Wrench Werks was incredible. Michael Jackowski was one of the best mechanics that I ever had to deal with. From the start, his personality did not match the typical job description. Most mechanics I have dealt with have no personality and are rude. It was like a family member that was there when you need them the most. But, like a doctor asking questions to diagnose the problem. Very different from the norm. In addition, they advertise VW and audi, I own a BMW and even saw Mecedes being worked on there. Well versed in other German cars. In all my experience at Wrench Werks was top notch and I would recommend it to all my family and friends. I’ll be back for sure!!!

I own a Chevy Silverado and I recently had some complex ac work done. Complex enough so not even my dad wanted to work on it. It involved taking the whole engine out just to get to it. My truck was in a million pieces but they put it back together and it is still blowing cold. Now I take my truck in to get my routine services done. I also appreciate the courtesy calls to remind me when things need to get serviced.

I bought a VW Golf GTI from my brother and it came with a one warranty for the clutch and transmission that was done 11 months and 26 days ago. We noticed when the clutch and shifter went out that there were only 4 days left on the warranty.
I called Wrench Works and they said bring it down. I had the car towed to the shop where it sat for four days. Then they called and said come pick up the car.
We did, and the clutch and transmission were still screwed up.
They said ‘we’ didn’t do that part that you need, so warranty is void.
A clutch is a clutch.
I had the clutch repaired at another mechanic and they said that the clutch, and the linkages were never done. In fact, the clutch was probably the original (2006).
The fact is that they didn’t touch it for days, to void the warranty, and they ripped off my brother originally for $ 1,300.
After paying a additional $ 1,800 to fix the clutch the car runs great.
I will NEVER recommend Wrench Works for auto repair

I love the guys at wrench werks! Great customer service! They have serviced all my audi’s and never had an issue, for 7 years! This company will listen to you, make recommendations but won’t take advantage, it’s up to you for maintenance of your car! I love this company! My Audi will never go to another shop! Thank you to Rod, Brian, Marc, Lance, Aaron and Barbara, you guys are da best!

The local VW dealer referred me to Wrench Werks since it would be a 2 week wait to get in with them.
So I called and they were able to get me in the following day!
Great customer service and they gave me a detailed report of what else could be fixed at a later time.

To be honest, I wish I could give Wrench Werks more stars! These guys are the real deal when it comes to Audi or VW repairs. My car had a few serious issues occurring that were extreamly difficult for other service departments to repair. The Audi dealership themselves couldn’t even figure out where the issues were originating from. About 3 hours after dropped my car off at Wrench Werks, I recieved a call from Brian telling me that they already found the issues! I would highly recommend Wrench Werks to other individuals who want to skip the games and fix the real issues. The staff at Wrench Werks are extremely professional, precise, and they take safety procautions very seriously. I would give them 10 stars if it would let me. Great job guys.

Great personable and efficient VW mechanics! I was able to get my oil n filter change as well as my safety check done on @ two hours! Previous shop took four hours and another 30 minutes for the same tasks!

Ok. So my original battery since 2007 just died, and WW’s towing partner, Saigon Towing, just towed me from work to WW (towing included in the VIP package I purchased at the beginning of this year). They’re replacing my battery now, and I’ll be good to go. What a relief to have WW! I’m truly grateful for them!

Staff was amazing and their customer service is on point. Scheduled an appointment, got it in, the following day it was done! They made sure I knew what was going on with my car at all times. They called with updates, which was really nice. The price and time quoted for the repairs was pretty much exact! I definitely recommend this place to anyone who has a Vw!

I was looking for someone who could do work on my VW Beetle without me having to give an army and leg like I have to every time I go into Honolulu VW and up pops Unilocal with the recommendation on Wrench Works. I am so happy to have found this place. I called and made an appointment for the following day and another appointment I had for that morning cancelled so I called to see if I could come in early. The answer was yes, bring it in.
I was greeted by friendly staff and told that it would take about one and a half hours to fix my car. An hour later they called and said it was done. The cost was as it was quoted.
IF YOU OWN A VW… TAKE IT HERE FOR ANYTHING YOU NEED. I have a BMW and I will take it to them for a detail very soon.

I hate taking my car to get its maintenance done, because I don’t trust shops and especially my dealership (tony vw). I’ve never heard of wrench werks till I stumbled on them here at Unilocal.I trusted the reviews and damn I wasn’t let down. They did everything that had to be done for my 40k maintenance check. When making thw appointmwnt with barbara, she went over everything that was to be service and how much it will come out to. I even got a $ 50 discount due to being a first timer. The customer service from this place can’t be beat. I was even greeted coming out of my car. After your service is done, they’ve given my car a complimentary wash and even vaccumed my mess ass car. you will get follow emails and phone calls to see how your service went and if you had questions for the next time your car will need service. I’m telling you this place is small, but top notch. ⁵⁄₅ mos def

These guys are super awesome, we came in for an simple oil change. Gave us estimate of time and when I came back to pick up my car it was looking cleaned and fresh! They even took care of my expired safety check without asking! How wonderful is this service! I would totally recommend them to anyone who needs a full service with awesome customer service! I will definitely be back all the time with all my cars!

We highly recommend Wrench Werks. They have great service, honest and friendly. We are new to the Island and our car broke down the day we picked it up from Matson. Another shop/​mechanic told us all the things wrong with our VW Beetle. Brian took care of us and he said all we need is a new battery. He was right. The car is running now perfectly. They also called us the next day to check on us. We will be back for sure. Thank you Brian and Wrench Werks team.

Was looking into purchasing a used VW van. I had heard about Wrenchwerks PrePurchase Inspection so I brought the vehicle in at 8am.
Met with Brian who was very friendly and provided great service.
Wrenchwerks found many issues that seller had not described. Over 3k in maintenance and parts needed.
Picked up the car at 1pm.
Overall, the inspection cost was well worth the price and enabled me to negotiate a better price.

My 2003 Jetta 1.8t needed an oil change. Friend on mines did a self service on it and did not function the same. Engine light came on and car was over revving. Did a search for Volkswagen service shops in town. Came across Wrench Werks. I was in a financial situation and the team over at the shop were very helpful in providing me an affordable service. I got the first time customer discount too. Brian made me feel welcomed with coffee and friendly service. It has been a simple experience to get my car fixed. I highly recommend this shop to anyone to get your VW worked on. Super stoked that I can now drive my car. Thank you Wrench Werks!

I really liked this place, they did a great job and their staff was very courteous and professional. I can go as far as saying this was the best experience I had taking my car to the shop.
I was happy that they even washed it and did a follow up call a couple of weeks later to see how the car was doing.
I also had my oil changed there a while back and they topped off the other liquids as well. A bit pricy but nothing outrageous, for the repairs they did stick with the quote they gave me.
It was easy to make an appointment. They are located by ward center, around sports authority so it was very convenient for me, I didn’t have to go all the way to kalihi. It looked like the other customers were a mix of car enthusiast and folks like me that aren’t so auto savy.

Starting this by saying the customer service here is EXCELLENT.
Popped into Wrench Werks last week in hopes that they could fix my airbag sensor on my Mazda, so I could get a safety check, so I could renew my registration for November. Yep, always how it is for cars. They told me they didn’t specialize in Mazda but I could bring my car in and they could see if their diagnostics would work on the airbag, to make sure it was just the sensor acting up and not something bigger. I agreed since they could take me in right away and time was of the essence.
They are located near Fresh Café (the next street over actually) and it was pretty easy to find. Lots of tint and car repair places, so just keep an eye out for their sign and address. When I got there, I was greeted very warmly by two of their employees (whose names I can’t remember, I do apologize!) and taken in. They got my information down and said they would be in contact. Unfortunately, when they called they said their diagnostics didn’t work so I would have to take my car into a Mazda dealer, but they weren’t going to charge me for my visit.
When I picked up the car, they informed me that they did a complimentary walk around. They said my car should be fine for the safety check once I fixed my airbag, and to just make sure I changed out my windshield wipers because they were getting a little worn. Also told me to check my brakes in about six months to be safe. I was happily surprised at the extra service and expressed my gratitude, asking if they were sure I didn’t need to pay anything, which they said I didn’t. Upon leaving, they told me I could come back for my basic car repairs and tuneups and apologized that they couldn’t do anything about the airbag.
One last note! As I was writing this review, they just called to check up on me and make sure I was able to get my car into a dealership (my car was dropped off today) and take care of the airbag. Again, EXCELLENT customer service! I am definitely sold on Wrench Werks! Thank you so much for your hospitality!

This was by far the worst place I have ever been to. I was quoted one rate I get my car fixed then they try charging me another price. When I tried telling them that wasn’t what they quoted me the manager started talking down to me like I was an idiot. I found out they tried adding in additional fees that were not in the quote. Then he asked me what I wanted him to do I said take off these charges I never agreed to. Then he says «show me where I made the mistake». Eventually he took off 40 of the 100 above the quote. Then tried to claim they were losing money on the deal. All in all it cost me 1000 to fix 5 lights and a broken air bag sensor. I would never go to this place.
So since I posted this I was contacted by Ron and asked what happened. After I explained the situation he told me this is not the way wrench works does business and apologized for the incident then refunded my money so that I was charged what I was quoted. Ron treated me with aloha and I really appreciated it. I still wish this initial disagreement never happened but they did a great job handling it afterwards.
