Specialties
Historically, Hawaii’s main source of economics came from sugar cane and pineapples. Immigrants from around the world came to Hawaii to work on the plantations and were the backbone of Hawaii in the early 1900’s. Plantation workers brought their own lunches to the fields, which were carried in wooden buckets, held at the end of a long bamboo stick. During the long, hot days, the hard working laborers would enjoy their lunches under the swaying palm trees. The cool island breezes and simple meals brought comfort to many.
This way of life in Hawaii would become a melting pot of cultures and thus Hawaii’s unique Pacific-region cuisine was formed.
Located at the Waikiki Sand Villa Hotel, our restaurant menu reflects a fusion of this Pacific-region cuisine with our tapas menu. Our signature dishes are hand crafted by our head chef and can be paired with a beer or glass of wine to your liking.
Another bonus– we allow customers to relax after a long day at work in the hotel Ashiyu (hot springs for the feet) which originated in Japan.
