Specialties
Creating wine. How? What types? Where? Huh?
We make wine, and offer people the ability to create their own custom labeled bottles of wine. We offer about ~60 different varietals to choose from, ranging from Argentine Malbec to Lodi Old Vines Zinfandel, from Alsatian Dry Riesling to New Zealand Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. We can also create sweet fruit wines to desserts like Port and Icewine.
We offer wine tasting flights, with a sip of imagination, bringing a little tour of wine country to our island in the middle of the Pacific.
We also have a beautiful venue, where people can host their own wine bottling party, sharing their wine and their experience.
History
Established in 2004.
Wine The Experience was initially sparked with a conversation in December 2002, to integrate our love and appreciation of wine and bring that to an experience, something unique & distinctive, classy, & modern to our home in Hawai’i. Several months later during the fall of the following year the project finally got underway. Our doors officially opened in historic Kapahulu, in Kilohana Square, on October 4, 2004.
We created Wine The Experience as a venue where people can come to enjoy The Experience of making their own wine. We offer quality wines at a great value. But not only are our customers making a good wine — they are creating their own wine, where they can have personal pride in crafting what they will enjoy and drink and share. They initiate the fermentation of the grape juice, and in about 7 – 8 weeks, they come back to bottle, cork, and label with custom designs. We create an elegant atmosphere that is fun and friendly. We welcome you to come Experience!

«I only drink wine when I am alone or with someone.»
I LOVE wine. I make wine. I drink it. Make more. Repeat.
Seriously tho, I do love wine. Why? I love wine because of how it tastes, how it makes us feel, what it makes us think about. I enjoy a taste with all of the senses: hearing the cork pop out of the bottle, the different aromas, the rich beautiful colors, and the way it touches your tongue. Ultimately, how it makes us feel. Imagining where it’s from in the world, what the weather was like, the time period, it’s history. It connects us to who we are, our memories, while creating new ones. It is amazing.
