Window World

Worst choice ever! Bad communication! Had to keep calling them for installation after half deposit was paid. Only installed two pieces of roller shades for a three panel window. Used only one motor for my four panel window. They did all this without communicating with us in advance. Will not recommend this business to anyone!

BEWARE OF THIS BUSINESS. I have never experienced such horrendous customer service and terrible attitude to boot. I don’t know how they’re still in business given their service standards or complete lack thereof.
Poor installation (my tile contractor even was shocked and offered to fix it), poor communication, and then a terrible attitude from management and the owners. Never again.

The entire team at Window World really worked together great! More than 6 years ago, they had installed a motorized awning on our lanai, then the motor needed to be replaced which they completed within 2 weeks of contacting them. When the windy days produced a squeaky sound which I attributed to the new motor, they all worked together to fit us into their schedule to check out the noise. They easily discovered it was not from the motor but from another source not related to the awning. Mahalo to the whole team, including Rudel and his assistant, Michael who took my phone messages, Joanie in accounting, and the boss Terri. Their work is outstanding and their customer service is awesome. Much mahalo:)

I had motorized shades installed in my condominium. From start to finish the process took about three weeks and was suprisingly affordable. Everyone I dealt with was pleasant and professional and they had answers for my (many) questions. Overall it was a good buying experience and I will recommend them to my friends.

Very poor customer service. Left several messages for Terry over the span of a couple of weeks She never returned my calls. Finally I got so upset and asked the guy who answered the phone to let me talk to the owner. He said Terry is the owner, I almost fell off the chair. Finally I showed up to her office in person. The first thing she said to me before I opened my mouth was «Don’t yell at me». If I did not make more than 50% deposit for my order, I would have canceled the whole thing. I will never ever do business with Window World again. I don’t even understand how this business can exist with rotten attitude starting from the owner.

Their customer service is terrible and they do not stand by their workmanship. Try reaching someone by calling window world, is very difficult to get through to who you are Trying to reach.
I’ve had issues with my shades for over a year now. It has been the same problem since I got them and window world is telling me that is out of warranty. They never came out to resolve the issue even though I contacted them while it was under warranty is that right?

Now that I’m an adult I figured it was time for some window coverings in my apartment. Being a guy, I knew nothing about what I needed or wanted. I actually work in the area, so window world seemed like an obvious choice. They have tons of options to chose from (personally, I was overwhelmed with all the options), but I told the sales woman to pick whatever she thought looked best. Long story short, I have 5 beautiful roller shades in my house, and I feel much more like an adult!

Went there about 6 months ago, because a friend of mine had roller shades in their unit that were installed by them and I wanted the same. The entire process took about about 3 weeks from the time I looked at samples in their showroom to measuring and installation. The sales person I worked with was very friendly and helpful. The prices were fair, and I am very pleased with the results. I also saw some furniture being built that I really liked, so I will probably be going back when its time for me to update my living room. Overall, I had a great experience with them. Would highly recommend!

Having done numerous design build projects dealing with numerous vendors, I have come across a few companies that had terrible customer service. Window world was one of these for the following reasons.
It is painful to try and contact the staff at window world. Everytime I called and asked for the salesperson I was working with I had to go through what felt like a screening questionnaire. If the person isn’t in why can’t they just tell me and take a message.
The blinds they installed were not working well and the ownership made the decision to not remedy the problem. They even accused us of not making the final payment telling us that we were complaining about the blinds and trying to get out of paying the balance. Their salesman had to inform the owners they were wrong and that we made full payment.
Our blinds were well within the warranty yet they refused to honor the warranty. We just wanted the sagging top of the blinds adjusted. I contacted the manufacturer grabber and they confirmed that the blinds were still under warranty. Grabber was helpful and sent me instructions on how to make adjustments but after spending so much money on the blinds shouldn’t window world take care if the problem for me?
Overall I definitely world not recommend window world. They represent several quality brands however the leadership/​ownership at the company is terrible and undeserving of the representation of those brands. Take your money elsewhere.

When scheduling a consult, ordering or installation they are prompt and friendly. When you call to discuss a problem they always give the excuse they need to talk with the manufacturer. This seems to take at least a month before I lose patience and I have to call back to remind them I’m still waiting. I ordered Norman Motorized Shutters paying an extra $ 5,000 for motorized feature. They assured me they have installed these in many hotels and never had issues. Unfortunately the motors do not work having Window World repeatedly replace back up batteries for Solar generated power and neither seem to work. The last time they came to my home to replace batteries the motorized shutters failed to work by the next morning.
I asked for my money back and that’s when they stopped all communication with me.
I sent a note to Norman Shutters and they immediately bounced my request for motor information to Window World. No accountability from manufacturer or Window World.
I gave them one star because the install of the shutters was nicely done. Unfortunately it’s a faulty product with no way of returning the non-​functioning Norman Motorized Shutters.
Shame on Window World for selling me a VERY expensive piece of crap! Hope you sleep well Lauren and Martin.

Worst quality in their product manufacturing, horrible customer service and follow-​up. I am currently in the midst of trying to get them to schedule and complete my 3^rd reinstallation of the blinds that I’d purchased through Abbey Carpet.
The blinds/​shades were not cut to the proper size of my windows, the valences were bowed with the fascia material on them was wrinkled and bubbling and then the glued seams at the bottoms fell apart and the weighted bars fell out on my floor. These were brand new! Could not imagine a more unacceptably low quality level of fabrication and installation. They were completely unapologetic and it has been a time wasting nightmare to get them to respond to my calls (Terrie the owner and Emily their sales person). I am going on 6 months of dealing with this and still waiting for the shades to be repaired and reinstalled. This situation with Window World and Abbey Carpet has caused me to have to take quite a few days off from work in order to wait around for their installers and to have them come out repeatedly to assess the problems they have caused. They only schedule at their convenience, not the customer’s…
Please beware and do not use either of these companies unless you enjoy major hassles, wasted time and money and being blown off constantly.
**as a side note, Roy, Abbey’s GM has been trying his best to help me to get this resolved through Window World, but it appears that he is getting pretty much blown off by Window World’s owner, Terrie. Crazy that this is how she runs a business and can continue without going bankrupt.

I needed to replace some pieces from the horizontal blinds that were in the apartment that I was renting. I was in, out, and on my way with only a small dent in my wallet. I encountered great customer service and I would definitely come back again if I needed anything in the world of windows.

Don’t bother emailing window world with a complaint, their e-​mail link doesn’t work! Don’t bother calling either. They will not return your calls. They sure are fast on cashing your check though!!!

Worst customer service I’ve experienced. Takes them forever to get back to you and worse they forgot a major part after installing my blinds. Still fucking waiting.

I bought 9 roller shades from Window World and their quality is superb. They look beautiful and elegant. Their prices are also wholesale so you are getting the lowest prices. Trust me, I have looked at Wong’s Draperies, Lowes, and Home Depot for a similar product and they all were significantly higher. (Wong’s Draperies even has sample books from Window World and marks their prices higher. I guess Wong’s Draperies are a 3^rd party and requires it to be marked up to make any money.)
In the Window World store, they have a lot of samples for you to take a look at: roller, wood, vertical, fabric, etc. Their customer service was really helpful and they even let me borrow a sample book of their roller shade colors and percentage openness so that I could compare the colors and type in my home. Major bonus for people who can’t make up their minds! When I picked out what I wanted, an employee came by to my home at no time at all to take measurements. After about 2 weeks, the shades were cut and I scheduled an installation time. I wasn’t there when the installation took place, but when came home to look at it for the first time, I was thoroughly impressed.
I only took a star off because when I started rolling up and down one of the shades, it turned crooked at one point and started to snag on the top which messed up the shade’s pristine condition. I had a 1-​year warranty on the shades, so I called Window World up to ask someone to take a look at them. They fixed the alignment by putting paper filler in the roller? I’m not too sure since I wasn’t there during that second meeting as well, but now all is fine. I think this all could have been avoided if they tested out the shades prior to leaving, but maybe the shades were working then and they grew a little with no one touching them. Hehe, I like to give people the benefit of a doubt.
GO NOW IF YOU NEED SHADES. Two thumbs up!!!

Thanks for the review and but you should have told all of the story.
You had been quoted for one motor for the living room and paid your deposit. Shortly after you asked to have all 3 shades motorized each with own motor. Which would require 2 addtional motors. You were quoted $ 1000 for this add-​on and you agreed. Only after the installation you seemed to forget the addtional charge. If your still unhappy, we will gladly remove the addtional motors you had ordered and refund you!

Be aware! I had Window World came in to my apt to install solar shades for three rooms. I’ve spend a couple of thousand dollar for it (shades w/​one motor (each motor alone costs $ 800) and installation. The quality of installation and the shades was very poor! The shades were not been cut straight. It looks poor quality which is quite different than what I saw in their showroom. On top of that, my sofa was full of dust and wall got dirty and has cracks on it after they finished the job! So, I called Window World to make a complaint, and they said they will get back to me.
It’s been weeks not only I haven’t heard from them, but I saw an additional unauthorized $ 1000 charge by WW on my credit card bill! Therefore, I called them again. The said that the one thousand dollars was for the second motor which they decided to charge me after the installation because it needed two motors. It took two motor to run one shade?! What kind of trick is this?! Again, they said they will get back to me! Is it even illegal to charge customer without any kind of notice??? They just decided to take my credit card info and charged it again! I am thinking if I should report them to Better Business Bureau. I totally regretted to go with them, should have gone with Low’s!
