Waxing by Cariann

I received my first ever Brazilian wax from Cariann! I’m happy to say it didn’t hurt nearly as much as I expected and it was not uncomfortable/​awkward like I thought it would be! I rely heavily on Unilocal reviews, but this is the first time I’ve ever felt inspired to write one myself, she is just so great at what she does. I learned once I walked into her office that Cariann is not only a licensed cosmetologist, but also a licensed practical nurse. She is very knowledgable and takes the time to explain what she is doing. She also works quickly, which makes the experience much better. She is super friendly and makes you feel very comfortable. I waited a long time to do this because I was always afraid to, but she really eased my fears. I left forever converted to waxing, it is so quick and so much better than shaving.

She more than deserves 5-​stars from every single client! I see Cariann for regular waxing and recently asked her to do eyelash extensions for me. Note: I previously had a severe allergic reaction to eyelash extensions in the past (a year ago), but I thought I could try it again. Cariann did a skin patch test on my wrists, using two different kinds of glue first, so we could see if I reacted. I did not. After a few weeks, I went back to her for the extensions — unfortunately, I had another allergic reaction. How Cariann handled the situation is what makes her stand out from any other business — after I texted her the next morning, as soon as I noticed swelling and itchiness, she told me to come in and have the extensions removed. But me — being hardheaded and vain — said No, let me wait it out a couple days. Long story short, my symptoms worsened and she fit me in on a moment’s notice when I texted her I needed them removed. Not only did Cariann remove the extensions for free, but she also gave me a partial refund and was super apologetic. I didn’t expect her graciousness or apologies at all, given that I was the once that requested the extensions despite my allergic history! Cariann is awesome. I love her and the service she provides.

Carianne is the best! Not only is she very good at what she do but very pleasant to talk with and simply pretty! All the great reviews that has been given to her are all so true! Very conscientious, very hygienic, she is simply great! Call/​text for an appointment ladies!

My go-​to for waxing! A friend recommended me to her and I’ve never seen anyone else. Cariann is very sanitary and makes you feel comfortable. Every time I go in for a wax it feels like going to a girlfriends house. Hands down probably the best place to get a wax — reasonable prices, sanitary, comfy, and quick.

She’s so good that i didn’t need to bite a towel or something every time she strips it. It was amazingly fast and i have no other words to tell her than she’s the best i had so far.
Easy to make appointment. Easy to talk to. And gives you good advices on the after care!

So I have been going to cariann for about 7 months now and I there is no other person that I will allow to wax my goodies other than her. I have been to one other person whom I will not name but let’s just say she was not as sanitary as cariann. Cariann uses gloves, wraps everything she uses with sanitary plastic which she changes before each client. She uses a different stick everytime she applies the wax and her equipment is always soaking in sanitary solution. My previous waxing lady did not do ANY of that so cariann was a gift to my lady parts after the other one. She makes you feel so comfortable and is very easy to talk to. I’ve referred at least 5 of my friends and all of them feel the same.

I’ve been getting my eyebrows waxed by Cariann for while now and she’s the only one I trust when it comes to shaping them. Recently she started doing eyelash extensions and I just had to get them done for my wedding day, they turned out awesome!!! I recently moved to Las Vegas and am bummed that I have to find someone else, But I know for a fact that when I’m in Honolulu that I’ll be back to see her. Hands down the best with the best prices.

Very first Brazilian this morning; made me feel comfortable and not awkward at all, last minute and since im pregnant she was so sweet to even consider me as a client! Totally made me feel comfortable and taught me new things about being an upcoming mother– beautiful &sanitized environment! Will definitely come back after giving birth &will let my family &friends know about her when they need a wax (:

CARIANN IS AMAZING! I want to start off by saying that I became a Unilocaler just so that I could write a review about Cariann. I was so wowed by my experience that I really wanted to let everyone know how awesome she is! As a nurse myself, I must say Cariann is professional, sanitary, and uses great therapeutic communication skills. I’m very happy about my results! I’ve only had 1 Brazilian wax before her (done somewhere else) and I was literally in tears from the pain and had inflammation and red bumps for a week. Cariann was so great. Barely any pain — I didn’t know that was possible! She’s so nice too!

I’ve been referred to my friend. Now she is the only person I trust with my Brazilian, she was amazing and sanitary! Everywhere I went they double dipped or used the same stick. I’m definitely coming back! We even scheduled my following appointment

Very very good and excellent. I would recommend her to everyone! She uses a very clean technique and does not double dip. She works from home so it’s very easy to find the place. Definitely coming back for all my waxing.

First time Brazilian here! What a great first time experience. I was clearly a bit nervous and anxious. Cariann was so nice and friendly. She was able to calm my nerves. She explained everything to me from before the waxing to taking care after. Good prices. clean work space. friendly chatter .good waxing job! All reasons to go back to my next appointment next month !!

So cute and friendly. Carrie Ann works REALLY fast and does a great job. I already tried a few other places and was disappointed. I hope I don’t have to go anywhere else while I’m living here. Nice quiet neighborhood.

what a treatment for myself today with Cariann! I have been referred by a friend to get in touch with this lady and yup she is sure right that she provided a great service!
I didn’t make any appointment and needed a last minute since today was my only day off during the week. Guess what my appointment is for, a brazilian wax! Cariann was willing to fit me in her schedule today which was really genuine of her.
I have also informed her that I am deaf and would need to be well communicated and know what to do step by step.
During the treatment, she did a great job by communicating with me and let me know what to do with every step and even warned me it will be painful. She also communicate with me by telling me «1, 2, and on 3, Breathe Out» so it was very considerate of her to let me know every time. Also, she made the vibe comfortable for me in the room and started to have a simple conversation and it helps to be distracted while she do her job.
It was my very first time to experience a brazilian wax actually and I am walking away with a smile and no shame!

Being a nurse I really respect her techniques. She walks you thru the process, tells you when to breathe or blow out and is more than educational in regards to how to care for yourself after the waxing. My schedule at work changed and that is the only reason I stopped going to her. Otherwise I would be there every 4 weeks :)

When my aesthetician waxes me and then pulls out the tweezers I know this is going to be a beautiful relationship. Cariann is so thorough and just really damn good. She actually made it painless, which I didn’t think was possible. Go to her. Go now. Then tell all your friends. Yeah. She’s THAT good.

WAXING BY CARIANN is awesome!!! I just did my first wax ever and I chose the brazilian. of course I was nervous and scared of the pain, but she makes you feel very comfortable and teaches you a breathing technique to help ease discomfort. She explained everything to do during waxing and how to take care of it. She might be fully booked when you call but totally worth the wait –so don’t forget to book follow up appointments before you leave. She also has stamp cards that you can fill up and receive 20% off next visit.

There’s a first time for everything, why not be it with someone who is knowledgable and has the bedside manner of a friend you’ve known for years?
Reading all these reviews just reaffirmed and gave me comfort when I decided to have my first time with Cariann. (teehee)
Nice and clean sanitary room with AC (it was especially awesome today because it was HOT).
She explained step by step what she was going to do and used the soft wax first. The first two strips I’d have to say are the most painful because it was my first time. She did teach me a breathing method to make it less painful called, «blowing out.» While she was doing her job, she was talking story with me, which really helped calm me down and made the process easier and faster.
She had this hard wax thingy, which was really intriguing… haha you’ll see what I mean.
All the reviews are true, you really do feel like you’re going over your friend’s house. I think that with this kind of process, bedside manner is extremely important because it sets the tone and makes your visit easier.
Cariann did an awesome job and I can’t wait to be back!

This review is way way long overdue. To sum it up: Nothing short of fantastic. I actually look forward to waxing appointments. It feels more like I’m going to a friend’s house to chat instead of getting your hair ripped out of your skin. :)
The prices are fantastic, and she gives a lot of great advice to help ease the pain that I didn’t get from other places, and she’s even dispelled myths about things to do pre-​waxing, and tells you the real dos and don’ts involved with the process. And on top of that, the sessions go by so quickly. By the time it’s over, you’re like «That’s it?» And then you book your next appointment for 3 – 4 weeks later, because once you go to Cariann, you will instantly become a regular.
As for the session itself, it’s very hygienic. She uses a new stick for each wax application and always wears gloves. She blows on the wax so that it isn’t too hot and so that it doesn’t burn or irritate your skin too much. And something else that I really like about her is that she always says sorry and apologizes if you have discomfort because of any tugging or heat. She’s very sympathetic to her customers and tries her very best to make it the most painless experience possible, and that’s something that I never got from any other salon. I’ve even been to one place (which I will not name) where the lady literally told me «yeah, it’ll hurt, so you’ve got to suck it up.» Never again!
She’s mentioned to me that she’s thinking of opening up an actual salon, so when that happens the location will change. So for those of you who feel skeptical about the location being at a house, the salon location will be a better fit. In addition to that, she’s always making upgrades and occasionally tests new products to find the best fit for her costumers.
And now as of a few months ago she accepts card! So if you’re not the type to carry cash with you or stop by the ATM before appointments, the card will help make things a lot more convenient.
If you haven’t gone to see Cariann yet, just go. You will definitely not be disappointed. But good luck getting an appointment because as you can see from all of these Unilocal reviews, she has quite a few regulars. ;)

CARIANN!!! you are the best ever!!! I found her from these wonderful Unilocal reviews. Everything that everyone has stated about her. It’s hard to feel someone that you are comfortable with especially when they are all up in your lady parts. She made me feel like I’ve been friends with her for years. The waxing experience went by pretty quick. I was expecting it to be about 45 minutes, nope it was about 20 minutes.
Yes I was a bit skeptical because it is out of her home but was amazed to see the little room she had set up for her waxing business. It is a cozy little room with AC. Oh yes you know how we need that nowadays with it being so hot. The room is really clean too. Her whole house is clean and tidy. She even has a waiting area which is really cute. I will be going back to her in the future.
Parking you find on the street there is a lot, just park anywhere.
When I left it was so weird I for some reason wanted to hug her because she made me feel like we were friends catching up LOL.
