U-​Go Mobility rents mobility scooters, manual & power wheelchairs as well as stationary oxygen concentrators to people who are visiting the Gathering Island of Oahu in Hawaii. Delivery, instruction and pick-​up is free of charge to the greater Honolulu, Waikiki and Ko’Olina (west) side of Oahu. Our goal is to enhance the ability of seeing Hawaii for those who having walking or endurance challenges. The company was founded by two people whose mothers both utilized powered, motorized wheelchairs and we know first hand that having the right mobility equipment can allow both independence and increase the quality of everyday life. Our motto is «do more, see more».

History

Established in 2001.

U-​Go Mobility was founded by Patti Coale and Hugh Talty. Both of our mothers utilized power wheelchairs and we saw first hand how mobility scooters, power wheelchairs and the proper mobility equipment could change the quality of one’s life and one’s experiences. Having the right equipment gave our mothers the ability to see and do more throughout the day. Our mothers gave us an understanding that the most valuable thing we possess is our time and the freedom to choose our activities. Although our mothers are gone, we continue to carry their spirit to give back. What better way to honor our parents than to «pay it forward» by helping vacationers see more and do more? We enjoy helping families who make the long journey to Hawaii solve the frequent long distance walking challenge that often occurs with aging family members or people who are on the mend from a recent orthopedic surgery or injury. Our goal is for people to do more and see more when they come to Hawaii!

Business Owner

Patti is a licensed health care professional with over 25 years of experience in homecare and mobility and seating products. For the last 14 years her expertise has been in helping fit mobility products correctly for each individual while taking into consideration the desired daily activities and terrains. Through helping my mother, I saw and realized the importance of giving individual care to everyone; thus, U-​Go Mobility was born. U-​Go Mobility’s primary service is vacation mobility scooter rentals which includes both manual and power wheelchairs as well as hard to travel with, stationary oxygen concentrators. The company rotates products and typically scooters aren’t more than six-​months old and are well maintained by a retired master Mercedes Benz technician who is our service manager. We know the scooters aren’t Mercedes, but he doesn’t!
