Great spot to go to in the morning not to busy friendly staff always greet u in the morning. Not to busy, always see the same bunch of people cool braddahz. Machines are always open for use in the weight room. In the cardio room it’s first come first serve. Sauna is always available when I go and there is a pool it’s usually open when I go.

The gym here is very small and not too busy. The cardio room has fewer than 10 machines. The weight room has everything you need to get a good lift in. I didn’t see anything cross-fit related though. There is a pool there too.

This gym has all the essentials but it has a really weird setup with small rooms and old machines. Still, you can get a great workout here. There are way better military gyms on the island, but beggars can’t be choosers, especially if you work at the hospital. They have some fitness classes which is great, especially cuz they’re not all in the morning when I’m at work.

Unilocal 365 Challenge #52/365 I have to confess that currently I am using this gym(since I work at Tripler) only to shower after my beach boot camp sessions, which are from 5:30am to 6:30am at Ala Moana and Kakaako(except this morning because I woke up late and decided to use one of their treadmills to run). Now, let me share something with you… everything around Tripler as you are walking is always a freaking INCLINE then DECLINE. So, when I park my car in the employee parking lot nearest to the gym… I have to WALKUP to the gym and I am silently griping that I dislike inclines despite the fact that I am working out my legs. But, it doesn’t stop there because there is a STAIRWAY to get to the gym and there are THIRTY steps! Yes, I counted one friday after working out at Kakaako beach park where there are HILLS :( Anyhow, check in at the front desk(of course) and then I head to the showers where there is thankfully, separate shower stalls with doors AND hot water! Note: If you come here past 7, you may have to wait considering there are only four shower stalls. There is a separate area for lockers and changing stalls with curtains for privacy, ladies! There is also a scale but I am bypassing it for now… Nevertheless, TAMC Physical Fitness Center is has just about everything for your exercise needs. There is a cardio room full of treadmills, exercise bikes, stair climbers and ellipticals. For all you strength trainers, there is a weight room as well as circuit training equipment. If you are unable to workout in the morning, there is also afternoon classes Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 4:30 — 5:30pm. The afternoon classes are: Step, Cardiokickboxing, Strength Training, Zumba and Pilates Mat. If you are competitive, there is a basketball court too. And that’s not it! The Center also has a full size pool open YEAR-ROUND! So, get your swim caps on because it is five days a week(except Wednesdays). The pool has lap swims, adult swim and open swim sessions. Note: Tripler AMC Physical Fitness Center is for Active duty, family members, DoD civilians, retired military, Reservists and DoD contractors. Cost: Active Duty and Family Members are FREE DoD Civilians, Retired Military, Reservists, DoD Contractors: $ 25 monthly pass/$ 4 daily(cash only) Although I just ran today in their cardio room since I woke up late for my beach workout session, I think I will begin to use this gym after I complete my sessions with SOHI Fitness to maintain a healthy lifestyle. *Let’s Get Physical*
