Towagon Service by Waialae Chevron

It was yet another beastly hot day in Honolulu, my car would not start, key would not turn in the ignition.
Called Audi auto service, 20 minutes on hold up on Laukahi Street sweating, and unhappy.
Audi called back and told me it would be at least an hour for a tow truck. I told them not to bother I’d call a car to pick me up.
The next call in was from Petey at Waialae Chevron Towing. He was so calm and helpful, especially for a frustrated and hot wahine, he walked me through several steps and got my car to start. So knowledgeable! He did this and was not getting a tow out of the deal.
The problem is with my model car parked on a hill, who knows these nuances?
Petey was excellent and I will call him when I need a tow.

I had a bad experience with Waialae Towing. My truck was picked up by these guys and other than plates in storage, the truck was fine when they hooked it up. Upon delivery of my truck on the carryall tow rig, my window frame was broken and laying on the hood, glass cracked. JJ was the driver and acknowledged the damage noting that it wasn’t broken when he picked it up. Petey was dispatch. After many phone calls to Waialae Towing about the damages, They denied it ever happened. Petey treated me like I was a liar and a criminal. You think they would do the right thing as I trusted them with my rig. Don’t ever use Waialae towing for any towing or service. I was referred to them by Verizon Roadside service.
Never again. I tried calling Waialae Towing to speak to the owner Barnie (sp) but seems like all the workers there just roadblock me.
Now I’m paying out of pocket to get the repairs done for damages done by Waialae Towing.

Petey, the driver, was awesome! Patient, courteous, and down to earth. Overage charge was cheap too! My insurance company only covers up to so many miles that’s why. Will definitely use them again if stuck in a jam.

My insurance company sent this company as part of my roadside service when my car wouldn’t start. As there were no reviews on Unilocal,I was a little apprehensive. I shouldn’t have been. Petey was the guy that came to my rescue. I was worried we wouldn’t be able to get my car out of the parking structure, but luckily after a few tries he was able to jump start my car. He loaded my car to his flatbed truck outside the structure… it was pretty cool to watch. Hearing the hydraulics made me think of Transformers… haha…I rode with Petey to the service shop and he expertly maneuvered that bad boy in the parking lot. Btw, riding in that Peterbuilt was sweet… I want one. He unloaded my car while I spoke to the service dude and then he was on his way to rescue someone else. If you need a tow truck or having your insurance company call one, ask for this company and Petey! Excellent customer service, friendly and awesome attitude!
