I work in Topa Financial Center, in the Bishop Tower side, and I love the building. The parking structure is convenient with access into the lot from Nimitz Hwy, but with dual exits from near the entrance, but also on the Mauka side of the building on Queen St. So you’ve got options depending on the traffic, and where you’re trying to get to or avoid. There are 7 floors total of parking, some of which are ridiculously small«compact» sized spaces — be mindful to fit your car into them if do park in those stalls since the structure staff will absolutely give you a parking ticket(warning first, then cash money!) for double parking or any other parking chicanery. Basement level is for building guests, floors 1 and 2 are premium parking stalls by tag only, and most employees of building’s tenants would be parking from floors 3 to 6, and the roof(floor 7) — you can get a decent stall between 3 to 5 if you arrive to work prior to 7:45 am. After that? All bets are off brah! You might get stuck with super odd compact spaces or on the rooftop… Also, for those who don’t frequent the building, from the sixth floor stairwell of the structure, you can go up to the Parking Structure Garden — yes! There is an awesome, green garden space with benches and open air on the roof, really peaceful and awesome views of Aloha Tower, the harbor, and out Ewa side! I work til around 6:30pm or so, and in the Fall, that’s when the sun sets… I’ve been taking a sunset shot like every day… it’s pretty nice. Anyway, the building itself is composed of two separate towers, Bishop Tower and Fort Street Tower; ample and quick elevators with digital displays outside and in, show who the tenants are for each floor, so you know exactly if you’re in the right place or not. Modern, clean, and friendly cleaning and security staff all add to a professional experience that is great to work in. Likewise, there are a decent handful of vendors from varying industries — we’ve got Cookie Corner, a florist, a dry cleaner, hair salon, Bin’s Convenience Store, Aloha Sushi, Subway, Cafenity coffee shop, and others. So very decent, and of course within skipping distance to all of downtown Honolulu, and even Aloha Tower Marketplace if you think about it. Overall, great building, just love working here.
