Just a heads up. These guys park the customers cars on the streets days at a time. There is a half way house and an illegal game room in the area so there are always shady people in that area during the night. I work in that area. I’ve seen cars tires get flattened and cars broken into and stolen. I also seen cars get ticketed and towed. Because they take up street parking people in that area are fed up and call cops to get the cars towed or ticketed.

feb 2014 my husband bought me a 97 Honda from them witch they did not have the paper work and we waited a week then TOM the owner says he will trade if for a Toyota camery because he cannot find the pervious owner to get the papers transferred so I went to pick up the camery and the transmission slip very bad I didn’t even make it out of the area so he said come back after the weekend he will fix it so I said ok. thought he was a nice person but here comes Monday he says he got the papers for the Honda I said great I was excited because that’s the one I wanted then he asked for the cammery registration back and I then told him to make sure he takes it out of my husbands name (he made us register it because it was expired) he said don’t worry he will take care of it then He said he will pay me back for the registration ok so I called them days later he says he is not paying us back so I let it go then today in the mail my husband has a ticket someone is driving the car in my husbands name SMDH they never took it out of his name I went in there as a mad woman and insist he pays this ticket plus pay me back the registration fees I will return there tomorrow to collect the money because he claims he didn’t have it… and if he doesn’t I guess I will be having a free car since its in my husbands name… very unprofessional smh please don’t go to the they are dirty broke mechanics very bad service!!!

Our car was backed into, out our insurance referred TJ’s. We took our car in on Tuesday (5.13.14) and they called saying it was ready on Thursday (5.16.14) it was pretty hard to find since we’re not very familiar with the area, but we found it after getting lost the first time. Lol.
We spoke to Tommy, and he took photos, got our information, gave the insurance an estimate and called us back that same day saying we’re good to go! He told us that I will take 3 days to finish.
When we brought the car in Tuesday morning, we met Kent, and he said that Tommy actually went off island to get married! Congratulations tommy! Kent said that our car has top priority, that made us feel better! As we were waiting for enterprise to pick us up, Kent was already working on our car!
I figured, Tuesday to remove the broken bumper, fix it, and paint it. Wednesday to let it dry and finish Thursday. Yup, I was right, they were finished on time! The car looks great! Yes there were some dust and other dirt marks inside of the car, but easy clean! They did a great job and I would definitely recommend them to fix your dents :)
Plus, Tommy has a cute puppy! Extra brownie points for letting me play with your puppy!

I’ve brought my car here several times for various services. So far I’ve been very pleased by their knowledgeable, friendly & efficient staff. If I ever have car trouble I call them first because of their professional and affordable service. I have and would recommend TJ’s to family and friends.

what a rip off. carborator are $ 200 max .and even funnier. you can get a whole gasket set with many gasket for less than $ 50
labor should not be more than 2 hours
if you add it all up .250 for parts and 200 for labor
$ 400
not $ 1600
that is at least $ 1200 rip off

I’m writing this review so you don’t ripped off. Thomas the owner does simply terrible work. My car had the problem of overheating, so i took into Gentech Automotive. Gene, of Gentech recommended TJ automotive. I was a little skeptical because i had problems with him the first time, but i decided to give him another chance. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me, never again will i go back.
I was told my carborator cracked and needed to be changed, and my head gasket. I was given the price quote of $ 1600, and a time frame of one week. After driving by a little over a week, i noticed my car was parked outside, and no work was being done. Thomas told me he only needed 2 more days.
So i never got a call, i called him after 3 days. Thomas told me he needed 2 more days. I never got a call, Thomas told me he was almost finish. For the next 2 weeks he tells me it’s going to be done tomorrow. So my one week job, took 4 weeks!!! Thomas told me he found additional problems, but he didn’t save the part, the bill was 2300, after quoting me 1600, that’s despite being 3 weeks late. After one whole day of getting my car back it breaks again!!, with the exact same problem. Not to mention my car was filthy when he returned it, full of dust oil and lynt everywhere. I filled a report with the better business bureau… Stay away from this douche bag.
