Sunburst Shutters Hawaii Inc

After reading previous reviews decided to go with Sunburst Shutters. BIG MISTAKE ! Paid over $ 1,000 for 4 roller shades for 2 windows. Communication was poor after order paid. Said would be delivered in 4 – 6 weeks. Did not hear from them so called after 6 weeks. Reply was that it had not been delivered yet… later in afternoon, called to say it arrived that afternoon. Coincidence (?).
After installation noticed problems:
1. Chains for pulling the rollers were different lengths.
2. Spacing between shades were uneven.
3. Valance does not lay flat.
4. Shades were of cheap quality-​paper thin, edges are already fraying.
5. Did not clean their mess after installation. Left it to the homeowner to clean.
Called to ask to correct some of the problems. Reply was they would drop by when they have another job in the district. Waited 2 weeks. Finally after calling several times, the salesman, Rob, who is also the installer came by and acknowledged the problems. Said would correct the problems when he has other jobs in this district. Still waiting over 1 month!!!
Poor communication, cheap quality, amateurish installation. Would not recommend to anyone.
Initially, we were going to have all the windows in our home changed if this went well. Will be looking for another company.
In summary, very helpful and eager until payment is made. After payment, very reluctant to do any follow up work.

Sunburst Shutters Honolulu is awesome! The sales rep who came out to measure was pleasant, articulate and knowledgeable. They explained product options thoroughly. They were coordinated across representatives and accurate on their lead time. They were the most competitively priced. I compared 2 other companies locally and they wholly missed the mark in all of these points. Scheduled installation took place with out me there… they did it perfectly. Highly recommend Sunburst.

What a great company! They were prompt to our appointment, and then they explained the differences between different types of materials and the pros and cons of each. Their quote was well below others’, and yet the quality of their product and the care they took with my home was incredible. Already I’ve noticed the AC comes on less frequently when the shutters are closed, so they’re adding a welcomed level of insulation, and keeping them clean is a cinch. By explaining to me that the shutters could be installed almost exclusively within the window frame, they helped me recover a TON of needed wall space, and kept the look very clean and modern.
If I could give more than 5 stars, I gladly would. Highly recommended.
