That’s right people! There is a Starbucks INSIDE Tripler! I am a regular here. It is just like any Starbuck’s but it is an AAFES vendor. So what you need to know about this one: — You can use your military star card and save 5% at the AAFES Starbucks — You can NOT use the promotions on your phone — Even if you have a reward available, you can’t redeem at this location — WIfi is really spotty. I have to tell the workers to turn it on if I need it. I gave a rating of OK(3 stars) because they are inconsistent with drink orders. There are days I get it perfect, and then there are days I’m called IGNES and UNGUS with the totally wrong order. Unfortunately this is the closest Starbucks to me and there is NOWAY I am losing parking just for coffee.(PARKING at Tripler is really BAD! but that is another review.) I put up with the mistakes because MOST of the baristas are awesome and know how to make my drink. But from time to time, I get the dreaded barista that messes up all the time. That barista also messes up drinks ROYALLY. (Real World Examples: I said soy, not whole milk! Is this Sugar Free syrup? Umm… No I did NOT order water. I ordered a cool lime with coconut SYRUP, not coconut milk.) She also double charged me once. The manager had to get involved to get my refund. :( I have come to accept that mistakes will just happen. That one barista after all, mistakenly wrote MYNAME on another person’s cup for a whole week. The other baristas kept telling her it wasn’t me. One day, we just happened to be at Starbucks at the same time and the baristas told us about the 1 week mix up. I have no idea how she mixed us up, but I gained a friend from the experience! Overall, this is an ok location because the inconsistency of my orders. I recommend an easy no mess up order, like iced tea. LOL! I’d say Iced coffee, but they mess those up all the time. Most of the baristas are on it. If you come in the afternoon then you should be safe from the dreaded barista aftermath.

The reason for the 3 stars is that the drinks are always so inconsistent, that I find myself not going there even when I really want a Starbucks drink. My usual is a classic raspberry black tea… which I get at many other Starbucks locations and never have a problem with it tasting right every time. But here, I found myself getting ones that were one day super watery, the next day way too sweet, or not enough raspberry flavor, or FULL of ice which lead to an even more watery flavor. There was a period where I stopped going for months because I just gave up. Recently, I decided to gave it a go again because I wanted to try their shaken mango black tea lemonade. The first time I got it, it was delicious! But since then, the inconsistent flavor has been happening again. Because of this, I find myself waning away from them again. Other than that, if I had to rate this Starbucks on the employees and food products(i.e. salads, pastries, etc.) alone, they would definitely get 5 stars. The employees are always friendly, and the food is good.

Hospital worker here. The staff is always wonderful to me. They make an effort to memorize my regular(Venti Americano, heavy whipping cream, no water, 8 pumps sugar free vanilla) and I appreciate it. One time I got bumped into elsewhere in the hospital and spilled my just-made drink and had to go back go get another. They asked, «Another one?» And I told them what had happened and was made another drink free of charge. So gracious of them! A special shoutout to Darlene and Fe for always making my visit stress free.

I am not eligible for nor do I have medical care at Tripler Army Medical Center. But, my most recent visits were because I was either accompanying or dropping off my sister while she visited with her hospitalized husband. During the mornings that we were here, I got to roam around. The aroma of fresh brewed coffee wafted down the hallway of the 1st Floor C-Wing as I was drawn to find its origin like a moth to light! What can I say, the customer service was as good as any Starbucks that I’ve been to and they offered their Caffè Verona as a choice for their daily brew. They did offer a full menu but I was only there to «feed» my eye-opening caffeine fix. There was often a line of people, mainly employees, by the time I’d get there but service was fast. I liked that they accepted my Starbucks rewards card as a form of payment while I got to rack up points and check-ins for my «Brewed Awakening» Unilocal badge. #318

Thank goodness for a coffee shop inside Tripler Army Medical Center. I was here all night with my daughter and the first thing I need in the morning is my coffee. Location: The Starbucks is located on first floor Oceanside of Tripler AMC next to Subway. There is no close parking next to the Starbucks but it’s a short walk from the front entrance. Food/Drink: All your favorite Starbucks food and drinks are here but the food is limited and tends to sell out fast during the early morning hours. Hours of Operation: They are open at 5:30am on the weekdays and 8am on the weekends. Seating: There is indoor and shaded outdoor seating. Overall, I’m grateful I don’t have to leave the hospital to get my coffee fix. They do accept Starbucks gift cards/gold cards here.

I like how everyone is friendly. The only part I didn’t like is that they didn’t have much selection like other Starbucks everything was limited. But overall it was ok to keep me awake.

Very nice staff all the time. They always have my favorite orange Valencia. The only thing is they don’t offer that much nik nacks, like coffe cups, drink cups, etc, like the other Starbucks on the outside. Otherwise everything else is a ok.

The real Starbucks took over the spot once occupied by the American Eatery. Why only 3stars? They only had Pikes available

This really isn’t a Starbucks — they just serve Starbucks coffee — and it isn’t very good — especially for the price. If you’re expecting a Starbucks-like coffee you will be sadly disappointed. And if you ask for something specific make sure you explain very clearly and watch what they do while making your coffee(they make a lot of mistakes with flavors, etc)

Located inside Tripler Army Medical Center next to the American Eatery is a «mini» Starbucks. This is not a «full service» Starbucks such as you’d find located next to Jamba Juice with Wi-Fi and chairs/couches to chill on… it’s very small with a limited menu. I’ll have to take a picture of the menu and upload it here so you can see for yourself. I didn’t even know there was a Starbucks next to the eatery(and I always go to Subway which is next to the eatery as well!) until my co-workers asked someone to make a coffee run. I was all for going to the café or to the exchange but they wanted Starbucks. I thought they were kidding… I wasn’t allowed to leave the hospital! Nope, it’s inside the hospital. What whaaaaat?! Where have I been all this time?! Indeed, it’s next to the eatery, and it’s Starbucks coffee. There is a separate line for the coffee… and they have basic«hot coffees» such as white chocolate mocha, mocha, vanilla lattes… etc. They also have«cold drinks» but I’m not sure if they have blended drinks(frapps)… each time I’ve come I always order«hot» coffee. Prices are comparable to other Starbucks locations. They do accept cash or credit/debit which is a plus if you don’t always carry cash like me. I’m not too much of a coffee drinker… I mean when I have my moods I crave a certain type of coffee(vanilla latte for example) but I don’t feen for Starbucks like my co-workers do lol… great small place to get yer caffeine fix with friendly staff! There is a lot of seating in the dining room(as well as outside) if you’re not in a rush to get back to work(or whatever it is that you were doing) Hours: Mon-Fri 0600 – 2100. Sat-Sun: 0800 – 1500.
