Established in 1993.

Spinning WEB florist opened its doors on busy Liliha Street in Honolulu in April of 1993. Our goal was to send out the freshest, most innovative floral designs and creative bouquets. SInce then, many a prom bouquet, boutonnieres, wedding florals, special gift baskets, hospital, birthday and many other arrangements have been received by countless satisfied customers. Sympathy floral wreaths and arrangements have made a long and lasting impression for that final tribute to that very special someone. Surrounded by a family of artists and growing up being exposed to many art forms has been the inspiration leading to floral designing. From my most earliest age of knitting, and sewing classes, Academy of Arts classes, and ceramic classes, have formed the foundation for color and textures widely used in the many designs that are created for our lovely brides. Having been a long standing member of the Kalanianaole Arts League in Hawaii Kai and being among truly great artists creating in many art forms has been an eye opening experience. A past member of the Pacific Handcrafters Guild and screening committee along with teaching several classes for the Pacific Fiber Arts Guild has allowed me to give back to the community. Living in Hawaii with its many woven cultural events and people makes for a very colorful, creative person.

My mother and I met with Whitney at The Wedding Café just a few short months before the wedding. We had been communicating via email in the weeks prior and she was very prompt in all her responses. I am very appreciative for her patience with the many questions I asked her. Upon meeting Whitney, I instantly felt right at home with her. She is so down to earth, friendly, sweet and professional. After showing her some inspiration photos to give her a better idea of what I was hoping for, she provided me with ideas on the types of flowers that we could possibly use. I told her my budget and informed her that we had some wiggle room. I appreciated that she was honest about what we could (and could not) achieve. However, she did assure me that we would work to get my everything that I had on my wish list while still remaining under budget. We ordered a bridal bouquet, three bridesmaids bouquets, groom boutonnière, best man and ring bearer boutonnieres, mother of the bride /groom corsages, father of the bride /groom boutonnieres, flowers for the cake, and floral for the gazebo (which would be used to decorate the head table at the reception) along with sheer fabric draping. Everything turned out to be so amazingly gorgeous! I was so pleased with my bridal bouquet which had the perfect amount of bling that complimented my headpiece and the detailing on my wedding dress. Wendy and her team at Spinning WEB Florist are wonderful and will work with their clients to create beautiful floral arrangements at any budget! Highly recommended!

YOU MUST BOOK SPINNING WEB FLORIST FOR YOUR WEDDING!!! Planning a destination in Hawaii from California was so easy with vendors like Spinning Web! I found them on Unilocal and corresponded with them vial email and once on the phone for my vision for the wedding. I sent them samples of ideas that I liked and they perfectly nailed it! I worked with Whitney throughout the whole process and she was very professional and responded to emails very quickly — much appreciated! When I arrived to the wedding site, the ceremony arch was already up and centerpieces were already set up on the tables. They are professional, timely and extremely good at what they do! I hired Spinning Web florist for a romantic dinner on the beach in Oahu’s North Shore at sunset. I also wanted them to arrange for a chuppah/canopy to be placed on the beach with florals attached. The florals were beautiful and the chuppah was amazing. Their crew was very friendly and professional and were really good sports about waiting until after sunset to take the chuppah/canopy down in the dark. They arranged for a chandelier to be attached to the canopy with little led lights in them which made the atmosphere totally romantic. The couple was floored when they saw it. They also brought beautiful fabric in soft white and turquoise blue to drape over the chuppah with starfish décor attached. We are very grateful to have used their services and highly recommend them for any of the canopy needs.

I found this florist on Unilocal and decided to order my husband and his best man’s boutonnieres based the photos of the cutest pineapple boutonnieres. We were extremely pleased with the end result, both were made from real baby pineapples. Our guests all loved the boutonnieres because they were so unique. When I initially contacted Wendy she told me there might be a chance that they have to make the boutonnieres from a synthetic material because the availability of fresh baby pineapples are season dependent. I guess we got pretty lucky because we got the real thing.
My only advice to you is to email rather than call Wendy because I always had better response rate via email than phone call.

Last minute I was a chicken without a head trying to find a good florist for my bridal bouquet. I emailed and called several places and decided upon spinning web florists. Reviews were great along with the pictures. I fell in love with the design of bouquets she had provided in the past for brides. I called and spoke with the owner Wendy. She was very sweet and was able to do a phone consultation. She asked what I was looking for and when I needed it by. She also asked for my height and the style of my ensemble in which I texted her. I was able to email her the various types of flowers I was looking at on Unilocal.She then informed me that it was best that I get a 8inch bouquet in which she would incorporate the colors of stones on my dress. It’s usually a pretty penny when it comes to purchasing quality for a wedding big or small. I had requested red kalalilies, purple orchids, and lilies. The only thing that I can say that was a con was that it could’ve been a little bit more decorative on the handle and with more flowers. I felt it was a bit small. Next time I’ll get in the shop and have a better relationship into relaying my ideas then over the phone:)

I had the pleasure of coordinating a wedding for a couple that selected Spinning Web as their florist. Let me just say that not only were the flowers beautiful and exactly what the client had asked for but the team who delivered and setup went above and beyond to make this day absolutely amazing. Reuben and David were on site and created a beautiful arch design and floral design down the aisle way. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate with us and the entire setup had to be relocated to under a tent. Through the rain David and Reuben recreated the beautiful setup so that the bride and groom would be able to get married in front of the arch as planned. I cannot give enough thanks to the wonderful team and look forward to working with them again!

Though I didn’t book with her for my wedding (because my mom wanted to do everything! CONTROL FREAK!) Wendy and Reuben did such a beautiful job for my wedding! I got married at Fosters Point and the flowers complimented the site so well. They worked with my budget and wedding ideas, and created the most beautiful bouquets and floral arrangements. Wendy was always open to my suggestions and made sure we were on the same page during our meeting.
Come wedding day, I was in shock when Reuben delivered the bouquets… I could not believe how AMAZING they looked! I eagerly anticipated how the other floral arrangements would look and I was blown away when I arrived to the wedding. The hues of pink, coral, and champagne popped against the blue ocean backdrop and created such a romantic ambiance for the reception.
I cannot thank them enough for the lovely flowers! I seriously could not stop looking at all the flowers the entire night! Thank you Wendy and Reuben!!!

Wendy and her team absolutely amazed me at my wedding. I met Wendy through my planner, Jenn, of Savvy Weddings. I sent Jenn a picture of a bouquet that I saw on Pinterest (because we ALL plan our dream weddings on there) and Wendy was able to recreate the bouquet for myself and my bridesmaids. She was very quick and efficient. Her decorations for our ceremony were beautiful and withstood the strong gusts of wind coming off the Koolau mountains. Everyone commented on how beautiful everything was.
Wendy also put the final touches on my cake, which helped to tie the look of everything together. She is very creative and great at her job. She greeted me with a big hug and made me feel like I had known her for years.
I highly recommend Wendy and her team at Spinning Web to add the beautiful floral touches to your big day!

Wendy is one of the best florists on the island! I can across her when I was planning a wedding. Although I wasn’t able to work with her for the wedding (because she wasn’t the hotels «preferred vendor») I’ve always loved her work. Recently, I started asking her to make floral arrangements for special occasions (Mother’s Day, Birthdays etc.) I’m always sending flowers to people and ran into some challenges with other local florists and needed a reliable florist. Although primarily they do events she always makes the time to do my arrangements. They’re timely and professional and I have NEVER been disappointed or embarrassed of sending sub par flowers! Note: She’s best reached by email :) Definitely recommend her!

I booked with Wendy and Spinning Web for my wedding florals. I loved the boutonnieres, my bouquet, and the flower girl’s and MOH’s bouquets. These arrived unexpectedly to my hotel room as I was getting ready at 4 pm. Luckliy, we were there to receive them, as I hadn’t recalled arranging this drop off. But it worked out well!
However, our centrepieces and floral wedding arch tie-backs were supposed to be neutral with a few pops of red, but they ended up being primarily red. Maybe I’m just being picky, because everyone I spoke to thought our centrepieces were beautiful!

Lets say I got the bad end of the stick. The owner insulted my wife. Wife had a mtg with her, she was excited having her part of our wedding. Wife gave owner an idea how she wanted her flowers for our wedding and that she wanted it so that it would meet our budget. Owner looked at my wife engagement ring and then gave her a chuckle. She told my wife that: «of course you cant spend alot, the money went to the hotel». Wife felt like she was being judged and that the owner thinks that we have alot of money. the owner was rushing to get through the meeting. Wife thought she was biased cuz we wasnt a rich couple and that all she thought about was money.

Wendy and her team did a fantastic job at my wedding. Everything from the ceremony arbor and flower clusters to the bouquets to the reception centerpieces to my sweetheart table and cake florals were absolutely beautiful. I loved my bouquet, my bridesmaid bouquets, and my mother’s corsage bracelet.
During the dinner prayer, I took a minute to look around at the centerpieces and tried to take in the whole ambiance of my reception. I loved the reception centerpieces and the pops of orange and plum throughout. Wendy even included some orange title lilies in my floral clusters, which excited me because those are my favorite flowers. We also had a lot of really good comments from our guests on how much they liked my reception centerpieces and ceremony clusters.
Wendy was very easy to work with. I planned my Waikiki wedding from my home in Las Vegas, so a lot of my correspondence was done via email and Wendy always responded in a timely manner. I was fortunate to meet with Wendy in person and had a great planning meeting. She is very knowledgeable about all of the different types of flowers (and there are tons), had a lot of pictures which helped me visualize my wedding and had a lot of great ideas. She made sure to capture my vision. My mother was a little nervous about the flowers at first because, without pictures or seeing it in person, she had a hard time envisioning all of my floral elements in one place. But from the moment that the bouquets arrived in my room, she started to get excited about all of the flowers. And at the end of the night, she told me how well put together our ideas were and loved all of the flowers.
I can’t thank Spinning Web enough for the awesome job they did.

Complete waste of time.
I sent Spinning Web an online inquiry on Aug 9^th, 2013 and also let them know if they would be available for a consultation since I was visiting from CA from Aug 23 – 30. I didn’t get a response back until Aug 20^th. Ok, fine, I give them the benefit of the doubt and respond, taking the time to give them all the information they requested about our wedding day (which they got the date wrong in their reply mind you). I also included photos for examples, another thing they asked for.
They also said they were only available for consultation on Mondays and Tuesdays and to provide them three choices for dates/times. I included my choices in my response. Guess what? Not a single word back from them ’til this day. I currently don’t see how all those Wedding Wire Awards have been given to them. For someone in business for over 20 years, I’d expect better service than this.
Ended up booking with Todd Oshiro of Always Flowers. He is attentive, works with your budget and is a super sweet person in general. I highly recommend him!

I went with Spinning Web because she has been around all my life. Everyone used to go to her when she was just a small shop in town. I can say many of my prom or banquet dates got my bouquets from Spinning Web. When searching for a florist it was no question that I wanted to go with them. We met with the owner Wendy who was very professional, organized and honestly helped us set up the theme and vision for what we were looking for. After meeting with her, it was honestly a sigh of relief. She was very honest about prices, different options we could do, and how things would look, also about not freaking out when she does not get back to you right away because believe me, she is a very busy woman. When doing mock ups, she made an actual centerpiece with the lights and water and florals to see what it would look like with our table sheers and if there was anything we wanted to change.
On the day of the wedding, she arrived on time and immediately went to work. She knew exactly what to do. I honestly only saw her in the beginning while I was getting ready and that was it. Everything was so beautiful and honestly, it was not until after the wedding that my husband and his mother pointed a few things out to me, which disappointed me a little. One being that left the bag of white petals at the end of the aisle and never made our light pathway design going down the aisle. Last, my family had made ti leaf leis to create the aisle ways with the orchid sprays coming off the chairs. my mom told me they were left out. I honestly feel that there was probably miscommunication with my family and so much going on which is why these things did not get completed.
Overall, I still would recommend her, lots of people love her-i still LOVE her and her works of art and she definitely is able to work with all budgets. She goes BEYOND what others do and like I said, she helped set the vision for our day and everyone still is complimenting us that it is one of the most gorgeous weddings they’ve been to.

I absolutely L-O-V-E Spinning Web and would recommend them to anyone! Wendy and her team are so artistic, patient, talented and detail oriented. Spinning Web created the most gorgeous bridal bouquet, bridesmaids bouquets, centerpieces and especially our head table décor. They setup our ceremony and were on standby right after to move everything to the ballroom. My color theme was grey, yellow and ivory and I wanted our ballroom to have a WOW factor as soon as you walked in. With the help of our specialty linens and of course flowers i was able to achieve the look exactly as I had envisioned!
Wendy met with my mom and I a couple of times, and was the «mediator» during our arguments. :) She really took the time to hear what we both wanted and was able to capture things that were important to my mom, while trying to please me as well. She offered to do a mock setup for us which was extremely helpful as my mom and I are both visual people. Wendy works SO hard and is so dedicated to her business. There are many times I received emails from her at 2:00 AM! I cannot say thank you enough for everything Spinning Web has done to make our wedding so perfect!

I’m sure Wendy does make beautiful arrangements, but unfortunately I will never find out.
My experience has been frustrating and annoying. I initiated contact on their webpage April 22, and did not hear ANYTHING back for 3 weeks. I followed up with a call directly to Wendy, who said she would have whoever manages their web contacts get back to me. He did, but had no idea what he was telling me and I got the impression that he was very overwhelmed and it was completely disorganized. He told me he would have Wendy call me back to give me a consult. So I waited again. For over a week.
Then I got an email from Wendy «following up». On what? Email tag happens again, which takes her almost an entire day, and she asks me if we can get together to talk in almost another week! I respond to set up a time, it takes her 3 days, and she asks me to meet her at a café on the island. Umm, hi, I already told you I’m planning a DESTINATION wedding, I don’t live on the island. so, another response, and she sets up a time, but doesn’t say who should call who. I ask, she never responds.
The time comes that we were supposed to talk, and I don’t get a phone call. I emailed her asking for another time and I have yet to get a response.
So. While I’m sure the work she does is great (based on pictures, I found the «filtered» bad reviews on Unilocal,no negatives on Wedding Wire, or any other site), I will never find out. I’m over it and I refuse to constantly chase a vendor who should be trying to win MY business. I have enough to deal with.

I meet with Wendy 1 month before my wedding. I told her that I was going with a New Year Gold Glitter theme. And I wanted to decorate my own vases. Went over everything I wanted and she had great recommendations on even how to decorate my wedding. She stayed in contact with me throughout my wedding planning.
When it came to my wedding day it was misty rain and I decided at the last moment to move my wedding. I heard my my bridesmaids that her team was so amazing. They even help suggest how to rearrange the ceremony. I was upstairs getting ready and was worried. I loved my bouquets, leis, garland for my daughter, and everything. When I came down I was so amazing my mason jars having a beautiful arrangement that made it look like gold vases. And made my cake look magical. Our wedding table was decorated beautifully. Thank you for making my dream wedding look more beautiful than I could imagine. Definitely would recommend.

Owner Wendy captures success in her magical web. This enterprising lady is more than an artist. She is all class. As mentioned in my previous review SP caught my business because of Wendy’s listening skills. Her creativity cinched the deal.
I wanted wedding décor that was classy yet different. Table-scapes needed to be low to encourage lively discussions and comprised of local flowers. Sunset colors and twinkles were a must and so was a respectful nod to our Asian backgrounds.
From our first meeting Wendy sketched her vision. We’d cluster orange paper lanterns in varying sizes and accent with orchids and daisies. Since hydrangeas would not be easy to get locally in October Wendy was willing to work with periwinkle blue flowers snipped from the front hedge of my workplace.
Wendy even caught items I had totally missed. How was I going to decorate the concert on the lawn? What could we do to make the linens sparkle like a glittery ocean sunset? Even on the night of the event she made several last minute improvisations. Pikake wrapped cake knife, scattering décor on ten last minute tables and more.
I highly recommend The Spinning Web. They allowed me to breathe easy and enjoy our celebration!
