Today we go buy snow very good i love it. It’s yummy! I eat it evryday because near my home Lol

I’ve have shaved snow before, but this was the only place where the shaved snow literally melts in your mouth.
It tastes so creamy and delicious. And I absolutely LOVE their giant menu with pictures of all the different varieties of shaved snow and toppings you can get.
A regular size is also large enough to be shared !
And it gets even better, because they offer more toppings from FREE!!! on the counter to the left of the register.
Nothing but awesome in your mouth.

Very nice «shaved ice» place. The way the ice is shaved gives it a very aesthetically pleasing appearance. It has a cool texture and is a lot colder than your typical shaved ice. It’s also relatively cheap for the massive amount of snow you get. The small seems a bit expensive but you get a whole bowlful of shaved snow with its own toppings. There are also free toppings you can put on to your snow if you really desire to do so. Overall a good place for cold and refreshing shaved ice. I would (and probably will) come back for more!

I would take this over shaved ice any day! The milk tea flavor was creamy and fluffy and just sweet enough but not overly sweet.

I had two large sized bowls in one sitting.
BUT! Let me make my excuses!
First off my friend and I split the large size «patbingsoo» style shave ice. This was a wonderful milk flavored ice covered in kinako powder, given a generous scoop of azuki beans, drizzled in condensed milk and topped off with strawberries (additional add on). This was so delicious! I definitely appreciate the variety of snow ice flavors and the amazing combinations just waiting to happen! And then… my sister started eating my snow ice and I just HAD to order another one!
Here comes the half pink lemonade and half strawberry snow ice creation with condensed milk and popping bubbles! So tart and sweet and different from the first snow ice bowl. It was just as refreshing as the first and can I be honest? I was close to ordering a third until my BFF texted me saying I’m a fat cow and need to stop ordering so many sweets in one sitting.
It’s been 5 days and I’m very close to going back for another… shush… don’t judge me!
Anywho, this place seems to be a great dessert option year round since we are blessed with lovely weather around the clock. Definitely stop by and try a snow ice! It’s awesome!

My husband and I have passed this place about three times, wanting to try it because we heard it was good. We could never time out our occasional 8 – 10 mile walks to end at the Snow Factory by 11:00am, opening time. Today, finally, the timing was perfect. And, lucky for me they have a non-​dairy bowl (otherwise I would have been sad to have to only taste my husband’s order). Non-​dairy is in strawberry only, just the flavor I wanted anyway. (It was meant to be.) You couldn’t really tell the difference between dairy and non-​dairy aside from the color (husband’s was a darker pink).
When we first walked in, we were confused because we thought we were going to order the usual shaved ice. But, we took a step back because all the photos of their bowls looked more like ice cream. The server had to explain that it was more like a cross between ice cream and shaved ice and said it was like eating frozen cotton candy. Sounded gross, but fortunately it was WAY better than the description. I knew what she was trying to get at. It was amazingly light, like sticking your tongue out and catching perfect snowflakes! The flavor was evenly distributed, and you didn’t have to deal with extra sweet syrup settling to the bottom. It was like eating shaved guri guri. They had free toppings or special toppings for a charge. We ordered mochi balls.
The thing that amazed me was how it stayed frozen and fluffy until I got to the bottom of my small (but really humungous) order. Maybe the very bottom was slightly melted, but even that was great! It was almost as if there was msg in it! I couldn’t stop myself from eating the whole thing! I had to hold myself back from licking the bowl! It made me happy and I was able to finish up our final few miles with a smile on my face!
There’s a billion combinations to be made, but I would probably keep it simple. Otherwise, it could end up too sweet and flavor-​overloaded – just my opinion since this was my first time here.. . But I’m old and simple.
Went a second time. I ordered #18 Passion Mango – as I thought – keep it simple – ate around the condensed milk which didn’t seep under, so I was still very happy. Still loved the texture – like eating a fluffy cake. My husband had the winner flavor combo – strawberry/​banana. My shave ice replacement.

Walked over last night cause Honolulu Coffee was closed. We had the large mango/​lychee with mango pops, lychee jelly and condensed milk for $ 7.25. Since the syrup is frozen with the ice, you never get those white spots that you can experience with regular shaved ice. However, the snow texture means unless you’re outside in the sun, the ice doesn’t melt either so not so moist. The lychee was good but I can skip the mango flavor. Overall very satisfying.
About ¾ of the way through, got really cold so bf had to finish the rest. Kept me cool for the walk home. The music videos they play on the tv gave the place an upbeat atmosphere. Service was really good. This place seems to have a constant stream of customers. Not out the door kind of lines but just constant.
I’d come back on hot days since it’s only about a mile walk from home.

Best ice cream in the island, never found a place like this in the mainland.
I’m pregnant and this is all I crave! I recommend kiwi, blueberry or pink flavor! And green apple Jellys so good

Long long overdue for this review but better late than never. I don’t even know how to explain the yumminess I get here. It’s not really shave ice but it’s not really ice cream either… it’s somewhere in between. It doesn’t melt as fast as ice cream so when you’re done you don’t have melted icy soupy leftovers. They have a lot of flavors and options for toppings. If you have no idea what to get there are pictures on the wall that are numbered just tell the cashier. Unfortunately I haven’t tried anything else but Cookie Butter with European Cookie topping and chocolate syrup. Since it was such a HOT summer this year I found myself making my way here more than once. I have to say besides my fav Cookie Butter flavor I enjoy the random K-​Pop videos that pop up. The last time I came I found myself dancing to Big Bang’s Bang Bang Bang… hahaha. I love it!!!

Snow Factory is located in the McCully Shopping Center, which is a good location but parking sometimes suck. Can’t help it because of the other shops in the center.
So, do you like shave ice? Think of this as a more milky version of it and the ice aren’t like cubes, think thinly sliced ice. The texture… Ahhhhh it’s hard to explain, just try it!
As far as flavors, there are a wide variety of flavors like Nutella, peanut butter, melon, strawberries, chocolate, and many more! You can also add toppings like nilla wafer crumbs, Oreo cookie crumbs, Graham cracker crumbs, etc! The preset flavors come with toppings like cheesecake, strawberries, brownies, and BACON!
It can get busy, especially on a hot day, but well worth it! You can get a small size or large size. If I recall correctly, there’s an X-​large size too.
I can go on explaining the shop but really go and try it yourself!

Holy smokes… You have never had shaved ice like this place. It is shaved so thin it’s like eating ice cream… only it’s not. The variety of toppings (and my ignorance of what many of the toppings were) was overwhelming. I don’t think I could’ve chosen wrong though. We got a small serving and split it between 3 people after having hot pot for dinner. It was definitely more than enough. If you’re anywhere near this place, do yourself a favor and make your way there. You won’t regret it. Know how you can thank me? Buy me a flight back to Honolulu so I can get another :-) Enjoy!

My friend brought me here when I visited Hawai’i and I wish I can go back and get some more! There were so many different choices and combinations that I stood in the store for a good 10 minutes trying to decide which one I should try. The shaved ice tasted so delicious and melted in your mouth like cotton candy. It’s literally like eating snow. The portion of the shaved ice is well worth the money. It is not expensive and your bowl gets filled to the MAX until it looks like it’ll fall over.

I’ve been to snow ice before in LA and Taiwan but ran across this place in the McCully shopping center. It’s located at the end of the plaza. Small store with a lot of options for snow ice displayed along the wall. Almost overwhelming but you do see all your options. Tried the taro, lychee, and green tea with mochi and flavor balls. The snow ice was okay but there was something missing. I will definitely try this place again.

This place is delicious! It’s about $ 6 – 10 a snow ice depending on what you get. The milk tea and green tea are delicious! There are combos you can choose from and you can also create your own. They play music videos on the TVs of pop, K-​pop and youtubers. I would recommend you come try this place!

I was in the mood for some shave ice or I guess you call it snow so decided to come here. I ordered the Li hing mui snow with condensed milk topping and mochi. I think in my opinion it depends on who is making the order because the presentation didn’t look so nice. I am more of a shave ice fan then a «snow» fan. Shave ice just seems more refreshing in my opinion.

I’ve been here many times but most recently this past week, after I had ramen at Yotteko Ya upstairs, and I wanted something light & sweet to have after eating ramen in a rich broth.
I had the mango ice, which is my usual go to flavor. I chose the combo which came with little mochi bits & lilikoi pearls. The accoutrements were ok but I think that the plain mango that I normally get, is my preference.
Service is pretty quick & friendly.
Parking totally is the biggest challenge in McCully Shopping Center.

So this dessert is ok. It’s not as good as Shave Ice or Ice Cream. But the flavor is ok. It has an interesting texture.
The servers were very friendly and the service was great.
We had the strawberry and green tea with mochi balls and condensed milk. The flavors were pretty good but the texture was odd. The mochi offered a nice textural difference.
The portion was huge for $ 6-​$ 7 for a large.
Overall it’s a pretty good place. It’s clean and like I said they are friendly.

After huge sales success at the recent Korean Festival at Magic Island, Snow Factory now sells Korean Pipe Ice Cream as of this past Saturday, July 19, 2014.
This novel, quite bizarre-​shaped ice cream «cone» is said to have originated in the South Korean district of Insa-​Dong as new street food craze that goes by the name Jipangyi Ice Cream. Jipangyi being originally a whacky tube-​shaped corn snack also sold as street food.
Snow Factory makes their own tube-​shaped shell/​cone out of grits, while it’s pumped with standard American style Vanilla Soft-​Serve Ice Cream.
The corn snack shell tastes like a ⁵⁰⁄₅₀ hybrid of your typical soft serve ice cream cone, combined with the flavor of Kellogg’s Sugar Pops breakfast cereal. That makes for one onolicious combination, when paired with the smooth, cool ‘n creamy Vanilla soft-​serve ice cream.
The corn snack shell has a semi-​crunchy, semi-​spongy texture, measuring a male-​envious 17″ in length from the longest side of its J-​bend shape to the bottom of the bend x 1 ½″ outside diameter.
All that makes for a delicious combination of smooth ‘n creamy soft serve ice cream-​meets-​Captain Crunch, if you will.
Just be careful how you hold and eat, lest onlookers my look at you funny. It already has for me. Ha-​ha!

Funny how this place is categorized as «ice cream & frozen yogurt, shaved ice» when it is none of those things. Shaved snow, if you’ve never had it, is probably a middle ground between shave ice and ice cream. The process of making it is closer to that of shave ice but instead of ice, they freeze a flavored dairy-​based. base and «shave» that.
Anyway, only three stars from me because I feel like I’ve had better. Flavor options are very good (hi, cookie butter. get in my belly!) but the taste wasn’t that strong. at least in the ones I got: cookie butter and banana. They do have a station for free toppings which I thought was pretty cool. There are premium toppings available for add’l cost and I couldn’t pass up mochi balls. I think they also have brownies, cheesecake, bacon (?!), and a few others. The free toppings are gummi bears, crushed cookies, nuts, m&ms, etc.
Sizes are very large though. I got a small and couldn’t finish it. The large didn’t look that much bigger than the small but that might’ve just been my eyes playing tricks on me.
