I love sephora especially the Waikiki one their customer service is so on point. They helped me with my foundation because I don’t normally wear it. I Will be coming back.

I love Sephora and this location is literally across the street from where I work… So I come in here very often. I spend a lot on makeup since I’m a beauty blogger and have a bit of an addiction. But every time I come here… I feel like everyone is watching me like I’m about to steal! I’m never offered samples. There are a few very kind attentive employees (skincare/​fragrance) but I can confidently say the makeup people aren’t very friendly. It’s hard to get their attention. And they CANT say they are understaffed, I have attempted to apply and have been turned down. So idk. I want to feel like I’m welcomed… And I just don’t here.

Staff is always welcoming and attentive. Everyone I have approached was very knowledgable about the products and was able to offer me recommendations based off my specific needs and concerns. I don’t even go to MAC or Ulta anymore because the products and associates here are much better. The rewards points are THE BEST IDEA EVER and I’m constantly being rewarded with free samples and gifts. Sephora takes my birthday more seriously then most of my friends, LOL. Walking into this beautifully organized store makes me feel like a kid in a candy shop, and the only person who finds that a problem is my husband. Haha. Definitely go here!

Worst service I’ve ever received from a employee by Shay, trying to sample cologne. Gave it to Carolyn to handle giving me a sample to decide on what I want to purchase. Unbelievable.

Being an accidental VIP Rouge, as in someone who isn’t religious to any certain brand, style or routine, I am not one to be very picky when shopping at Sephora stores. I don’t need any special treatment; demonstrations, new product sample offerings or opinions. That said, the two times I’ve shopped at this location on Kalakaua have been less than satisfactory.
Both times, I was greeted by depressed looking employees who looked like they would rather be handing out gun range or adult club fliers outside. The store itself is clean, well stocked and organized. It was easy to find cosmetics on the right, skincare on the left and fragrance in the back. However, another downside was the lack of customer care this store offered. I was not once offered any kind of assistance by any of the non-​busy staff members, whom were mostly talking story with one another.
On my most recent (and perhaps very last) visit to this location, I was in search of the new, nude colored beauty blender, and also charcoal infused brush set. Found them on my own, but my one suggestion would be to offer some kind of customer service. And finally, the cashier on this particular night was NOT friendly at all; she carelessly stuffed my $ 100+ purchase into a bag and shoved tissue paper on top. And neglected to offer me VIB point redemption items OR free samples of products.
I will stick with ordering my Sephora loot online or visiting the Ala Moana location in the future.

I have absolutely nothing to say about the makeup, but the free WiFi is «on point» (as the makeup gurus say). My girlfriend walked around the store looking at random stuff that I have no idea what it is, but I was able to check hockey scores and videos (Connor McDavid ftw), as well as watch cat videos on FB all at pretty fast speeds. I am extremely thankful to the staff/​management for setting up this amazing problem free network. I’m glad they understand ¹⁄₃ of the people in their store at any given time are unfortunate males drug in there by a significant other. I don’t know a contour from a concealer, but I know I love anything that can pass the time as my female companion goes skipping through the many aisles of lipstick and stuff. Thanks sephora!

Now I come into this Sephora almost everyday after work and I usually buy about up to $ 100 every time and I try to keep my VIB points up. Some of the girls recognize me every time and some know my name and they give me great customer service, like a family. I always have a great time but today was different, today an employee (I have her name and appearance locked down tight if Sephora wants to know) harassed me about an eyebrow pencil I had tried on which was warm brunette in the hourglass section. Mind you, she did some customer service and followed me a bit but found me later with attitude saying «where’s that hourglass pencil you were trying? it’s not there anymore.» and I said «yes it is» and she responded back «No it’s not» and stood there glaring at me. I couldn’t even believe I had to go show her where it was. So we go there and low and behold the warm brunette I used was there and she was looking for the soft brunette. She saw it and didn’t even apologize about it just said «Ah! People move things around here all the time» I work in retail and customer service, I know you don’t apologize for liability reasons and to do customer service in this aggressive manner just leaves an uncomfortable feeling. I’ll still come back because it is my favorite Sephora, but know your facts and don’t just point fingers.

I needed grease! I’d come to Hawaii without pomade and couldn’t find it in the ABC Store. Hair gel wasn’t going to do, but wandering by Sephora saved me. A huge store, I was assisted to find Bumble and bumble Semisumo. Upon check out, since I’m a «beauty insider,» they gave me my birthday gift. Unilocal check-​in provided me with two samples of fragrances. Great customer service!

My rating is based on the most recent Fukubukuro promotion on Jan 1, 2016. We had been to the event a few years ago and my daughter was bummed to have missed out on the Sephora bags. So this year, we came early so she could participate. We’re from California, so this is a bit of a treat for her. We’d seen the local press videos and it showed the promise of some good swag.
When she opened her bag she found a small makeup bag and… an electric toothbrush. Sure, it’s a Foreo Issa toothbrush but nothing like the multiple makeup items that she had hoped. Fortunately, Bare Escentuals saved the day with a much better deal/​outcome.
I would not recommend Sephora for Fukubukuro ever again.

I booked a make up session and the stuff was super patience and nice. I got a full make up which is designed just according to my skin type and color. Very satisfied :-)

I came in tonight during Sephora Waikiki’s «rush hour.» Haha. I came in to return a liquid matte lipstick that was the wrong color. In and out. Piece of Cake.
But then I was greeted by Jena.
Jena introduced me to a different shade of liquid matte lipstick that better suited my skin tone. She chose a red that I would have never picked on my own! I love it! She left me to tend to other customers needing assistance. (Not a problem because she left me with some lipsticks to play with.)
After chitchatting with her, I informed her that I really wanted to try Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow. But was unsure of the correct eyebrow color to choose. She was sweet enough to make me a sample to try! So awesome.
After I checked out at the register. I went to thank Jena and she gave me a sample of her favorite leave-​in conditioner and exfoliant that she told me I must try!
Thank you Jena. Thank you for choosing that perfect red lipstick for me. And thank you for sending me home with a couple samples to try. I’ll be back very soon and can’t wait to try out more products!

Hands down, the best Sephora location on O’ahu. Always great service and it means a lot to still receive such wonderful, personalized service with a smile from the staff regardless of whether you’re an out-​of-​town visitor or a local resident. The amazing staff from their warm hello’s, being asked if I need assistance, professional but also pleasant service at the checkout counter, a quick complimentary mini make-​up application, and being thanked for the visit — just an absolute delight from Sephora Waikiki!
This particular visit was to get my eyes done (Bollywood style) for an event that night (last night, in fact). Immediately as I entered the store I was greeted and even though the first associate that I crossed paths with was not able to assist me (probably because she was already helping someone out), she still took the time to look up, smile and give a genuine welcome. Awesome! I saw Jasmine thereafter, who also greeted me with a genuine hello & smile. I explained to her the purpose of my visit and within minutes she was personally assisting me with the look that I was going for. Keep in mind that my regular makeup routine consists of moisturizer, light mineral powder & lip gloss. So, eye makeup is totally an area where I could take a lesson or two in. Jasmine was very accommodating and yet also offered her professional advice which I appreciated. I learned a few things with the makeup application. So, to walk away with that knowledge AND a great look for my event was undeniably a validating experience for why Sephora Waikiki has and will remain to be the location that I would recommend to anyone and continue to go to.

Was very excited to be on my honeymoon and have gone to sephora several times in Portland Oregon. Went their with my new husband and the slate entrance floor was covered in water. Immediately slipped and fell on my hip and knee. My husband and 2 patrons were right there to assist. The employee at the door put out a slippery when wet sign, looked at me coldly while I was on the ground and said I should have read the sign. My husband told her to mop the entrance she just looked at him blankly. After about 30 seconds she got the mop and started swiping. (Was raining all day so they knew that entrance was wet that’s why the mop was already by the door). Called the manager Michelle said go to the hospital. Really? Howz about some sensitivity when I’m trying to give you business. SEPHORA NOMORA!

The staff at this location are very friendly and knowledgable about the various skin care, makeup and fragrance products. They have a variety of brands which is awesome cause each brand has something different to offer as far as their best products.
You can make an appointment or walk in if they aren’t to busy to have your makeup done and get a mini makeover. Marcie did my makeup and did great and gave me many pointers for when I do it myself. They will also do a color match for free with a small device that captures images of your skin color. They have a free Beauty insider program which I recommend joining cause you get free samples and products after reaching so many points. You can also test everything which can be super fun for finding the right shade and type of products.

The customer service ispretty consistent between here and the Ala Moana location. The sales associate were helpful, attentive, and answer all of my questions.

The sales ladies there … can hardly talk they keep looking at me without asking if i need something !! and when i did she looks surprised ! … it was obvious she does not want to help … i give them zero out of five

This is probably my 4^th time in here within a two day span. The staff has been excellent in providing me advice and rendering makeover services. I am here on vacation and needed a date night look and they were easy to help me out. I also love that when I signed up and got my gift card I got a few extra free gets along with my purchase so that automatically made me want to come back again. I am not familiar with makeup so they were easy and quick to provide me step by step instructions on how to apply and what products to use. Needless to say I am a new fan of the company and especially this location. I shall return on my next trip back to beautiful Hawaii. Thanks guys once again or turning a newbie into a more confident woman in makeup prep.

Sephora Waikiki is a reliable source for men’s cosmetics and fragrances, particularly if you have a staycation in the area. I shop at Sephora Ala Moana and Pearlridge more often than the Waikiki location primarily because it parking starts at $ 6 for that area. However, I swing by Sephora Waikiki when I am in the area to pick up a few needed essentials. The staff is well humored and make the experience a comfortable one so I don’t feel like a fish out of water as a guy in a cosmetics store.
Sepora makes the online shopping experience convenient, especially since they ship directly to your home, work place, or recipient if it is a gift. However, the personal touch the Sephora Waikiki team is that extra something which cannot be achieved through an online transaction. For that reason, I would highly recommend Sephora Waikiki for anyone looking to stay fresh and clean.

I am one of those shoppers that is very loyal to brands/​products. When I find something I like, I’ll continue using it for years and years and years. When Sephora got rid of its OPI/​Sephora nail polish brand I was devastated. Good thing I’ve bought so many bottles over the years, that I’m good for the foreseeable future. It also helped that the OPI brand was very discounted as Sephora got desperate to sell them all before bringing in a new line.
I like this location because it’s convenient for me. The workers are friendly and not overly stifling or pushy. Because I buy the same things over and over, I’m especially not very talkative with sales associates at Sephora. I brought my puppy here once, and one of the workers insisted on going into the back to get him some puppy treats. It was a nice gesture and he seemed to genuinely be interested in my puppy.
I come here to buy my essentials. I like browsing the sale racks every now and then, but I sometimes buy online because shipping is so speedy and convenient. I am also able to return items in store! Some stores don’t allow this, so it’s def a plus!
I can’t talk much about parking, as I always walk here, but Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center is a good choice if you plan on doing some shopping there too.
