I must admit that I have long dreamed to earn my place as a shield maiden among warriors. I don’t know that I would ever reach that status but in the few practices that I have attended I can definitely recommend this group to anyone who is interested in martial arts, sword fighting, or just learning a new skill. The teachers are patient, firm, and extremely knowledgable. You’ll also meet a group of people who are a living testament to the fact that chivalry is not dead.
Tuesdays we meet at Nu’uanu Park, unless it is raining, it which case we move to another location in Kalihi. Sundays, we meet at the Impact Life Center on Dillingham.
