Uncle Keith is my stylist since preschool. He is professional and makes you feel comfortable. Uncle Keith also does adults! He is great!

I’d previously fell in love with my hairdresser, unfortunately sometimes things change. I was finally able to find a person who knew how to cut my hair. Long layers… see, my hair is fine and slightly curly. I’ve had too many bad experiences with hairstylists cutting my hair in regular «layers» to where the top is really short and the transition between layers was large, leaving my small amount of hair appearing to have a tail at the bottom and me looking like an 80’s rock star. When I went to see Sang, she was able to help me with that.
After several visits to touch up my highlights and trim, naturally, when I went for a trim, I figured that she REMEMBERED how I’d wanted my hair trimmed. I had a couple of very important events coming up for the holidays. My hair was not looking well at my events, now looked bad.
I have NEVER cried over a haircut. The thing is, while she was cutting it, I trusted her and instead of questioning, I waited. Wrong move! When she was done… OH MY GOSH!
The part which bothers me most is that she actually made it seem as though I was crying for no reason and told me that «It looks good» and seemed to be making a mockery of my tears. She told me that it would grow out in 6 weeks, that she «FORGOT» how I like my hair cut and that I «should have reminded her». UM, NO! NO! NO! Subsequently, I was charged full-​price and left in tears.
Several days later, I texted her to let her know that I’d given it some time and had tried to get used to the hairstyle but even while trying curling, straightening, etc… it was terrible.
I DO NOT recommend seeing her. She’s sweet, I must say but what happened to me is unacceptable, not a risk worth taking.
I have actually found someone better at my local Supercuts, it’s half the price.

I walked in looking for someone to fix my bad Supercuts haircut. I met Gail and booked an appointment with her for later in the week. She called me back an hour later and asked if I wanted to come in today, because she knew I couldn’t wait 2 more days to fix it! She was amazing! My hair looks fantastic. Thank you Gail for fitting me in! I’ll be back soon!

I had my hair and makeup for my wedding from Beverly on ¹¹⁄₁. She did a good job and i liked it a lot. Pictures turned out better than i expected. Thank you, Beverly.

Diana Lane did an amazing job on my hair. I just want to say thank you so much and i highly recommend her. I have seen her work and she is great. Please take the time to check her out your will not regret it.

This review is for Bev. I met with Bev for a hair and makeup trial for my wedding. My bridesmaid and I waited for over an hour while Bev was running late for the appointment that was made. She comped my bridesmaids trial because she was late, which I appreciated. At first, I didn’t like the hairstyle that she did, so she redid the hairdo to what I wanted and that made me happy. I decided to go with her for the wedding day and she did my hair like the first hairstyle was. I was upset because she couldn’t change it with all the hairspray and bobby pins in there to the style that I wanted from the hair and makeup trial. Overall, she did ok, but if I could choose again, I would go with someone else.

I got my hair and make-​up done here for only $ 90 and it was well worth it. The only down side I would say if the air-​gun foundation. It clumped up a little on my face.

I’ve been going to see Akiko for manicures for over a year (maybe longer?) — and she is fantastic! She is super sweet and personable and does an awesome job. Its so relaxing going to see Akiko, as she give you her undivided attention… love the pampering!
Akiko is meticulous in her work, which means you will have a great looking nails. Her station is spotless and clean as well. Plus, she’s very creative and can give you design suggestions to match your taste. I’ve seen many pictures of her unique nail art designs and they are cool!

I have been going to Akiko for the last 6 months, and it’s money well spent! Not only is her work one of a kind, but she is such a perfectionist, and very detailed with her art. I love every design she’s ever done, and each all by hand!
She’s so sweet, easy to talk to, and you’ll have a great time! Not like other salons where you sit there for 2 hours in silence just watching the technician do your nails, she takes the time to get to know you.
She’s so flexible with my schedule… All I do is text her and she gives me her availabilities! She’s awesome and a must for anyone in need of a cute manicure for a special event or just because! I highly encourage everyone to make an appointment, once you’ve gone to her you’ll never want to go anywhere else.

I see Gale here… she’s the best hair stylist ever :) She was educated by all the top programs in Las Vegas, and routinely travels to Los Angeles and other cities to keep her skills top notch and know what the current trends in the industry are. I’m only in Hawaii about once a year nowdays, but I always get my hair cut by her when I’m in town. I used to see her on a regular basis (when I lived in Hawaii) to do coloring, and she’s spot on for color correction/​highlights/​low lights/​and doing really natural looking color that matches your skin tone and the season.
Best haircut b/​c she texturizes my hair… meaning, the heavy mop that gives me headaches is chopped down (volume-​wise, but not in length) by her amazing technique. I leave feeling lighter, and my hair waaay healthier. I followed Gale around Honolulu over many years (3 salons at least) for good reason, she’s the best on the island :) I look forward to coming back!

Akiko is just amazing! I happened to walk in needing desperately to get rid of my gel nails that had been on 2 weeks way too long! I didn’t know you need to make an appointment. (She’s that popular) Instead of shooing me away she kindly sat me down and went ahead and removed my gel nails for me. She was in the middle of customers and had some free time. She didn’t rush and took the time to polish my nails and even wipe them with a warm towel. I didn’t get my nails painted that day but the care and quality customer service she provides is completely worth the wait for an appointment. You know she won’t be satisfied with anything less then perfect!

I first went to Salon Eclipz last June to meet with Beverly who I ultimately hired to do my hair and makeup for my wedding. Bev’s services came highly recommended to me from my wedding planner at the Ihilani. Weddings are very expensive but I didn’t want to be too cheap with my hair and makeup for obvious reasons. However, I was quite surprised at how affordable Bev was. I looked at many wedding hair/​makeup artists and she had the best prices and 20 years of experience. You cant beat that.
I later returned to the salon to get my hair cut and colored. I walked in and Ashley was my hairstylist. I am always skeptical about new, young hairstylist, but Ashley was very professional and a talented hairstylist. I have had many hairstylist and I can say with great confidence that she is excellent. I have been going to Ashley for the last 6 months and have had 3 different hairstyles. She is excellent but she is not always at the salon so you have to make an appointment with her in advance which she is flexible about.
The salon is small and cozy and next to sweet home café, so the parking can get pretty tight if you come in the afternoon.

This review is for Akiko. I made an appointment with Akiko for manicures for my sister and myself. We decided to do the shellac gel manicure with french tips. Akiko spent nearly an hour per person, meticulously painting our nails and filing them to the right shape. This is the best manicure I’ve ever had. It was a bit pricey $ 50 pp but they really lasted and after nearly 2 weeks the tips have still not chipped!

Hello. I’m 21 years old… and sadly, I’ve never been to a hair salon in my life.EVER. (Yes, I already see those weird looks coming from your eyes). My hair was always cut by my mother, a friend, or myself.
However, this story changed today, as I walked into Salon Eclipz, after calling in for an appointment. Keith, had stayed in after his shift to take me in, and I’m extremely grateful for that. He was really nice, and I really like my new non-​cut by my mother-​haircut. I would definitely suggest him for an appointment!
So sorry to say, but sorry Mom, you’re no longer cutting my hair for me anymore!

It was my first time with Akiko and I don’t think I can go anywhere else to get my nails done. Not only is she genuinely sweet and easy to talk to, she is extremely good at what she does. She is meticulous with everything and wants to make sure you’re happy.
I normally don’t do anything crazy or fancy for my nails. I usually just get a manicure with french tips. I’ve only done a glitter fade design and gels one other time in my life. I saw all the fabulous pictures of her work and chose one that I wanted. But she very nicely informed me that those types of designs work best on artificial nails and I was just getting a regular manicure. Silly me. She still got the general idea of what I wanted and I am soooo happy with the outcome. I ended up getting purplish/​pinkish glitter fade with some pink holograms. It looks like I have artificial nails even though I don’t. I’m still looking at my nails like every 5 minutes and wowed by her work.
She gave me some pointers on how to moisturize my skin and most importantly make my nails last longer. I agree with everyone who sees Akiko and will definitely be back. Though her prices are higher than your average nails salon (well the ones I usually go to anyways), she’s NOT your average nail tech. Her basic manicure is $ 25 and nail designs start at $ 5. I highly recommend her for those of you that don’t do artificial nails too because she does such a thorough job with everything.

Just had a great spa mani/​pedi from Akiko at Salon Eclipz. Akiko is detail oriented, gentle and so easy to chat with. You should see how she concentrates on the nail art. It’s like watching a true artist at work. That’s not all. Her hand massage is awesome and I fell asleep during my pedi ^_^

I used to see Akiko at Ho’onani but lost track of her. I went to other nail technicians in between, but when you’ve had the best, it’s hard to adjust. Other places make you feel like you’re in a factory, so impersonal. I’m so happy to have found her at Salon Eclipz.

Nail Review:
My appointment was good Friday 3:30pm
Akiko is the only one that does everything. So, best if you make an appointment. Akiko pays attention on what you want on your nail. Just be honest with her. She spent 3 ½hour with my mani & pedi. I got gel fullset and pedicure with 2 nail arts. Loved it! Her price are cheaper than Adrianne but both do good job! They are both nice ladies. Overall 5 star service!
Haircut:
(after Akiko did my nail) Bev did my hair. I did not have an appointment but she manage to squeeze me on her schedule. I was the last client there. She trimmed my hair and she styled it wavy. It was really nice! I left the salon very satisfied with my nail and hair. The next morning after I showered and flat ironed my hair, I noticed that it wasn’t the hair style I wanted. I didn’t noticed it that Friday night because it was wavy. So I called Bev, she did not answer so I left a message. Later that day (i forgot to turn on my phone, it was on silent), I rec’d a text, vmail & email from Bev. She wanted to see me the next day morning. So I went, I found out that they were close because it’s easter Sunday! I was the only client that day! She was very sweet and apologetic ! It wasn’t even her fault. I told her it was my fault but she thank me anyway for telling her my concern. Anyway, the result was awesome! she double checked with me if this is what I want. Of course I said YES! :) So, I asked her how much? She didn’t let me pay for it! I wanted to but she insist not to. So i gave her tip but she dont want it either. But insist! So she accepted it! I won that argument and we laugh! LOL Basically, Bev take her client very seriously! She will take care of you and your needs.
Same as Akiko… you just have to be honest with them and they’ll take care of you! :-)
Would I go back??? Definitely YES!!! (^_​^)

If you’re looking for JDM nails look no further. I was referred to Akiko by a friend and am so glad I tried Akiko.
I got a spa pedicure with nail art on two toes for about 40 something dollars. That is reasonable for all the work she did. I got pink gradation and my two nail art were Sakura with rhinestones. I can’t wait to go back.
She has two books and nail samples on the wall. You look through the books and create your own design. She is through and fun to talk to. She is very creative.
The only down fall is that there is only one of her. I wish there were two so I could take my sister in law or friend with me.
I would suggest making an appointment because I know once word gets around she is going to be packed.
I have also been to Bev several times and she is awesome. If you’re looking for someone to do wedding, prom or pageant hair and make up Bev is for you. She is reasonable and does great work. She really listens to what you want and gets to work.
I have heard only great things about Salon Eclipz and i’ll be back.

Just got my hair did at this newly opened salon and it is probably the best haircut & highlight job I’ve ever had!!!
I’ve known Bev, the owner of Salon Eclipz, for years and decided to stop by her salon this weekend to get a much needed haircut and she suggested highlights as well. Change is always a good thing so I embraced the leap with open arms.
Bev was a little nervous cuz it had been awhile since she cut hair, but being the low maintenance, easy going gal that I am, I was sure to be happy either way. It had been awhile since I’ve had highlights but a friend of mine suggested I get red highlights and so did Bev so I was excited!
After she finished cutting my hair, my bangs (thank goodness I have bangs again, very nice bangs by the way!!!) and blow dried my hair I could finally see the end result and I was FULL of SMILES! I loved the red highlights and the lighter second color she threw in there. The cut was wonderful, it somehow worked with my face more than other stylists I’ve been to. I was truly satisfied & happy.
I’ve always known Bev for her beautiful work with Hair & Makeup, however, through this experience I now know that, Bev is talented in making a woman feel beautiful with a new haircut & adding some color to their locks!
I would definitely recommend Bev or any of her skilled & beautiful stylists at her salon! I’ll be sure to be coming back to her when I need to retouch & trim!
