History
Established in 2009.
Rand Contracting is know for our quality of work and taking care of our cliental. Our reputation has brought new business through referrals and by word of mouth. We started with smaller projects like bathroom and kitchen remodels, and as our reputation grew so did the size and scope of our projects. We have now completed several extensive home remodels and new homes from the ground up.
We have also established great working relationships with architects, structural engineers and subcontractors, which means we are well equipped to run your project from start to finish.
Meet the Business Owner
David R.
Business Owner
Rand Contracting is family owned and operated by a husband and wife team. David Rand oversees the construction projects, while Peniela Rand manages the office.
David has nearly 20 years of experience in the construction field. He learned the skills of his trade while working for BW Builders and Richardson Construction, both well known for their prestigious cliental. David started as an apprentice, then rapidly progressed from journeyman to supervisor to project manager. But that wasn’t enough. He wanted to own his own company so he became a licensed general contractor.
Peniela graduated from the University of Hawaii Manoa with a business degree in accounting. While in college she worked as an office manager for a construction company. This gave her the confidence she needed to run her own business.
After getting married in 2009, David and Peniela decided they had the tools they needed and were ready to go out on their own. So in September of 2009 they started Rand Contracting.
