Rainbow Beauty Supply

Besides Hawaiian beauty this is my go to spot for supplies. I live in the area as well as the shop I work at so its very convenient.

This place is great! Wifey was having an eyelash emergency and I Unilocaled up this place. They basically stock everything you would ever need beauty wise. They guy working was super helpful and even though we didn’t need extra stuff, we spent much more than we needed just to give them extra business.

Not a fan at all. Place is old, dirty, and carries generic products besides the OPI and a few others. Customer service is quite poor. The tuner over in employees says a lot about a place. BAD MANAGEMENT!

I Love this place! The parking on the other hand… not so much. There are only 2 or 3 stalls assigned to this warehouse but sometimes there would be no one else in there except me, and no stalls available. The good thing I can say about this place is anything I need for cosmetology, they have it and at a good price. It is only for licensed cosmotologist or students so just a heads up on that. This warehouse is just big enough to keep you interested in everything and not get too overwhelmed. There are nail polishes and supplies, shears, clippers, capes, aprons, brushes, spa items, etc…

This place is filled to the rim with beauty supplies — almost to the point in which I feel overwhelmed! The staff is really sweet and helpful, and prices are fair. The only catch is that the entrance is a little awkward. It really is in a warehouse looking thing with a white door. You walk down the hallway to the left (which, if you didn’t keep walking, you would’ve though that you accidentally walked into the private back employee entrance or something), and bam! Supply heaven.

I’m giving them 2 stars right now becuz it’s 8:19am and I’m standing outside with the door LOCKED. I called and no one is answering. Another girl is waiting and she said the owner’s car is right here in the parking lot. I’m glad they open Saturdays and the prices are ok but this is so not cool for a busy gal who needs to shop only Saturdays between 8 – 8:30am before work!

I had heard about this beauty supply store from a friend a few years ago because her cousin was a cosmetologist and received discounts from any local beauty supply store. Its a small warehouse that is tucked away among the many sports bars and lounges alongside the Kalihi Palama canal district. Keep your eyes out and you’ll miss it!
It doesn’t look like its open, but proceed to the door with the sign that says open, and you encounter a whole array of OPI and ESSIE nailpolishes and nail polish gift sets, including gel nails supplies, manicure and pedicure lotions, professional hair coloring products and accessories. Professional hairbrushes of all sizes and shapes. This place is also where I previously had purchased my rhinestone wheel which costed me roughly $ 14 which isn’t bad considering how much nail salons charge for rhinestones.
I love this place because they have the latest styles of OPI nail colors and a whole rack of ESSIE polishes! Every girl’s dream! I didn’t have an industry discount card, which may have saved me almost 50% off. OPI bottles were $ 9 and ESSIE were $ 8, and mini gift sets (which are scattered all over the store) are $ 16. Yes, I can see how someone might benefit by going with someone with a cosmetology card.
Going to this place is like a treasure hunt, finding colors and collections up and down the store, which made it really fun to discover the different colors. But I have to dock a star because of the cramped spaces and the organization. This place literally is a warehouse, and is stocked as a warehouse, so presentation of products aren’t what they specialize in. Also, parking is kind of annoying as each and EVERY stall in that small lot is labeled accordingly for each establishment. PARK IN THE DESIGNATED STALL. Not to sure if they tow, but I aint gonna risk it.
Definitely gonna go back again (with a friend with an industry card of course) and stock up on the latest WIZARD OF OZ colors and glitter polishes :)

Sandy, the owner is real nice. The rest of the staff is nice too. I accompany my fiancé to Rainbows when he needs to get supplies for his shop. Rainbows has everything you need for hair, make up, nails etc. It pretty much is a warehouse filled with goodies. There is definitely a lot to look at when you walk in so be prepared. Parking is a little tight but I don’t think that’s a biggie.
