This is our go-​to taxi company. Very reliable & always on time! I don’t call any other company.

Pony Taxi is always great. The cars are very clean, the drivers are nice, and they are always a few minutes early. Pony is the best, most consistent taxi company I’ve used.

I got to where I had to be but the driver didn’t know anything about the island. Even major landmarks seemed foreign

I use Pony Taxi at work for shuttle purposes and they are reliable. I also use them for personal trips around Honolulu. Call Pony!

I am all for supporting small businesses so I have only used PONY taxi for the past year.
However, my experiences using Pony has been going downhill in the customer service area.
Most drivers are nice and give you good customer service. However, there are some that are not good/​angry Korean drivers who make the whole experience not worth using their services any more.
The rude ones will not turn on air conditioning in this Hawaii Summer Humid weather and complain if you say you use a credit card as a method of payment.
Today was and is the last time I use this company. I told the taxi driver to stop by the stop sign at the hotel. He opened the automatic door, I told him I would pay by card and he started complaining to me. He was pissed I was using a credit card and talked about how he didn’t bring his own personal Credit card operator but the company’s credit card machine so he wasn’t going to make as much money… He then started driving while grumbling under his breath somewhere to park when my door was open… I told him to stop but he did not care. Very unprofessional and dangerous… I will not be using their services again nor recommend to anyone here.

Fast response! Mr. Yi was very professional and got us back to the Hale Koa quickly and safely. A different cab company took us to the restaurant earlier and we had a wild expensive drive. Pony will be our go to taxi service for the rest of our time on Oahu. Mahalo!

They are the best! Always there in less than 5 minutes as they say. Ask for Taxi #45 or #723. Fast and know directions on how to get to your destination without the run around. Absolutely love their service!!!

My usual cab is Charley but I couldn’t get through so I called Pony.
My cab arrived on time but the dispatcher didn’t ask if I had luggage or how many humans. And I failed to tell that info as well. But it all worked out because a Lincoln came to pick us up. I love riding Lincoln because of the smooth ride.
Driver was very nice and polite.

I would never normally use Pony, because I think I would need a Korean translator if I do! But since my GF is accustomed in using the company, and I am super easygoing… I went with it.
We called it in and in less than 7 minutes the cab arrived, pretty quick! We then hoped into the van and she told him in Korean the place we needed to be. At first he seemed confused as to what hotel, then that worried me and ignited a flashback of my recent trip to Seoul when the cab driver took advantage of my non-​speaking-​understanding-​Korean and took a right turn instead of left and then a U-​turn back just to get an extra few bucks from me! Mind you it was less than $ 3US, so I didn’t mind it then, but then we are in America and cab fare can get hella expensive!
So as I am in the cab, I continuously make sure he does not take any wrong turns, so we wouldn’t get ripped off. But at the end, the driver was nice and got us to our destination at a good pace under $ 15 with tip. The cab was kept nice and clean, and no funky cab smell either!
I guess I have to blame it on Hollywood and my last trip to Korea for thinking that all cab drivers are schemey… but Pony made me see it differently now :).

If you are looking for reliable and speedy service, especially in town area, then this is the place to call. Their cars are in excellent condition, spacious, and have clean interiors. And they know how to get you to your location with time to spare.

Pony Taxi says «Okay, two minute!!~» and really means it!
They must follow me around or something, because the wait time is always 3 min/​5 min/​or 7 min– never longer. They seem to understand that even though they’re ready in 3 minutes I may not be, and they never leave me just because I take forever to come outside.
On top of their punctuality, the cabs are immaculately clean and the AC is blasting. It’s refreshing for sure.
At times theres a bit of a language barrier but nothing that can’t be overcome. The drivers don’t try to make awkward conversation, but they do have a sense of humor. Kind of like the funny old Korean uncle you never had. Super plus: they aren’t scared to speed. If I’m ever running late, I trust Pony to get me there on time.
Fares start at $ 3.10 & add 40 cents every eighth-​mile.

Pony used to be my go-​to when calling a cab but lately, I’ve been let down by their
1. crappy service
2. the fact that you can’t use a credit card in some of their taxis
Now let me explain…
I was in a rush and decided to call a cab to work — mind you it was a pretty quick drive since i usually walk or ride my bike to work. The driver knew I was in a rush and unfortunately I didn’t have cash that day so I asked if I could pay with a card when we arrived at my work…
He sighed and slowly got out of the car, went to the back to get the CC machine from his trunk and slowly walked back to the drivers seat. And then we had to wait about 5 minutes while the machine turned on… Oh, and get this. He didn’t even stop the meter! I was fuming by then since 1. I was late for work 2. He didn’t seem to care or try to expedite the process.
Recently, when I walked into the cab I was told they didn’t even have a CC machine! Come on nowww. We aren’t a cash society. A lot of people walk around with only CC on hand and although I know you want cash, please carry a CC machine in every taxi or you are going to lose customers…

My 1^st 5 star rating for a taxi service? I know, but these guys got their act together. Here is why I always call them now:
1. They always are on time or early getting to you.
2. No cars in their fleet over 5 years old. (I think it’s a requirement for them) Hello cold a/​c.
3. They get me there quicker and cheaper even though their starting meter is higher than most. (They don’t shy away from hitting the gas on a yellow light-​nice!)
4. They don’t talk too much while driving. If you never had a cab driver that loves the sound of his of her own voice while driving, you won’t know how important this can be.
fyi– If you say the last 4 numbers of their phone number (8282) in Korean, it means hurry or hurry up which is why the Koreans always remember their phone number.

I have suffered long enough from bad taxi rides and experiences from around the world! To find a reliable, polite, quick and CLEAN cab is amazing… Especially, they were in my OWN backyard! Suuure, the «other» company’s phone number was easier to remember… Especially with the cross dressing Auntie TuTu singing «her» song! (when you’re seeing double… it’s trouble. better call that 222 222… numbah!)…
Pony Taxi, I call them Pony Express (for some unknown brain glitch that I have)…is just that, an EXPRESS! They are always within 5 minutes of where I am… The dispatcher is polite and REMEMBERS me or where I’m coming from! Amazing, that I actually talk to a real person… and not have to endlessly enter numbers into a phone tree (really, really hard at 3 am btw, or anytime actually!).
I’ve heard that they will even pick up and deliver take out or other items as requested! Wow! I am very grateful that I have Pony Taxi on Speed Dial!

Based on all the good reviews on Unilocal,we decided to give Pony a try from our apt to the airport. I called the day before to schedule a 6:15 am pick up.
Went outside at 6:10 with all our luggage. By 6:20, we were getting scared with no sign of Pony. At about 6:22, we got a call from the driver. He can’t find our place. Seriously, everyone knows our complex. If he had google map’d it prior to picking us up, he would’ve found it. We gave him instructions and waited. He finally arrived around 6:35. He stopped and opened his trunk. He was on the phone, didn’t apologize or say anything to us. He started driving to the airport and was going to turn the wrong way, while still on the phone. I said, you have to turn left, not right. He’s like oh… how do you get to the airport? Seriously, we don’t live in the middle of nowhere, we live 5 miles from the airport. He really should’ve known. I don’t know if he wanted to take the long way to charge us more or he really was lost.
He also charged us extra for our luggage. First taxi to ever charge us that extra fee.
So disappointed in Pony. Don’t think we can use them again.

I hate taxis.
However, Pony proves to be very handy in certain situations.
If and when the bf and I need a taxi, Pony is the first taxi service we call.

They are über reliable and very quick.
The Pony dispatch gives you an estimated time on when a driver will arrive at your destination to pick you up, so you know when to be ready. (They are always early.)
The cars are pretty clean with none of that cigarette odor.
(Nothing creeps me out more than a dirty taxi.)
Another awesome thing about Pony is their «delivery service.» Hungry and lazy patrons, suffer no longer! Pony will pick up your food order and deliver it to wherever you are. Just pay the price of your order + taxi fare (+ tip) and you are set! For drive-​thru orders, be sure to tell the driver exactly what you want! But for restaurants like Sorabol, it is better if you call in your own order and give the taxi person your name for the pick up.

I take cabs everywhere.
I do not drive, and I don’t think I will ever really drive.
Pony is my go-​to taxi.
They are reliable, fast, efficient, and even use short cuts.
The person answering the phone is always really polite and nice, and they always give you a rough estimate of how long they should take.
Most of the drivers are nice too; even when I do my grocery shopping they’ll help me carry in my bags for me!
Pony Taxi also does a delivery service. They’ll pick up food and what not for you from somewhere and deliver it to your house at the cost of whatever you ordered and the fare for the taxi ride from the place they pick it up from to where you’re dropping it off to.

A good taxi service. I used Pony after a bad experience with Charley’s taxi. These guys were much more on top of things in terms of finding my location, being on time, and using a luxurious Lincoln Towncar. The driver didn’t speak a lick of English, but he understood where we were going and it wasn’t an issue.
Pony will be my go-​to taxi service from now on!

Reliable. Clean and comfy cars. Everyone before me has said it; I agree; I will say the same.
Fare is same as TheCab — $ 3.10 to start with 40 cents per eighth-​mile.
If you’re fussy like me, spend the 90 cents you’d save by calling Charley’s and hit up Pony instead. They offer spacious, well-​kept Lincolns driven by polite Koreans who USE THE A/​C. Good grief, it’s hot on this island and if I’m hailin’ a cab it better darn-​well be air-​conditioned!
