Description

Specialties

Pipeline café Hawaii has been Hawaii’s premier live concert venue for over nine years with such acts as Mos Def, Jack Johnson, Dashboard Confessional, Erykah Badu, The Misfits, Paul Oakenfold, Rhianna, and even Vanilla Ice. Changing the logo but keeping the name was just the beginning when Greg Azus took ownership of Pipeline Café on September 1, 2008. «It’s a good opportunity right now,» Azus says. «But at the same time, it’s a challenge … we need to roll up our sleeves and change things around.»

Pipeline has been a favorite location in Hawaii for concerts ever since its opening in 1999, undergoing renovations over the years to turn it into the two-story, four-room colossal it is today.

Hawaii’s most used concert venue and largest nightclub (25,000-square-foot), Pipeline Café holds a capacity of just over 1,550 people making it the nightclub «powerhouse».

History

Established in 1999.

Under new ownership since 2008

Pipeline Café, one of the most versatile and active venues in town, is a coveted spot for big names in music and comedy — both local and national acts. Pipeline has hosted the likes of the Black Eyed Peas, Fall Out Boy, Jenny Lewis, Vampire Weekend, and Mos Def. If there isn’t a concert, there’s always something else going on.

Our NEW Box Office is now open M-F 10:30AM-5:30PM. Located in the back of Pipeline (right hand side)

Meet the Business Owner

Greg A.

Business Owner

Moving to Hawaii at the age of 20 from Chicago, well-versed in retail, Greg Azus created On Stage Hawaii in 1983 as a clothing store selling musician merchandise including spandex pants to leather accessories. He also opened a shop in Waikiki on Saratoga Road called Hawaii’s Natural High selling as the Rock and Bob Marley headquarters. After 6 months he was approached by Jack Law, owner of nightclub The Wave, about taking over his store adjacent to the club.

Soon after, the store became an instant success. On Stage Hawaii remained there for over 10 years. At the same time in 1984 Greg started his own entertainment publication entitled On Stage Hawaii which was later bought out. In 2002, Greg resurrected the concert promotions business and reestablished the name On Stage Hawaii. Since then he has been bringing such acts as Tommy Chong, Paula Poundstone, The Second City, Sum 41, The Doors of the 21st Century, The All American Rejects, Lewis Black, Flogging Molly, Everclear & MORE!
