History
Established in 1986.
Our organization started in 1986, when owners Kent & Lori Untermann brought in a container of framed art to sell at the Aloha Stadium Swap Meet. Within 7 weeks, they’d sold all 7000 pieces of art. Out of those humble beginnings, Pictures Plus was born.
In 1988, Pictures Plus began manufacturing its frames in Hawaii. As both manufacturer and retailer for quality art & framing, the company built upon its reputation as a locally-owned & operated company. Over 25 years later, we continue to service Hawaii’s kama’aina and businesses. Operations are based out of a 43,000 SF manufacturing facility in Kapolei, with retail stores & showrooms located throughout Hawaii.
Recognizing the growing demand for personalized home products & services, Pictures Plus expanded beyond art & framing to include furniture, custom cabinetry, closet & storage systems, sliding doors and so much more! With the addition of these interior solutions & design services, the organization has evolved into Plus Interiors.
