Food poisoning. 12÷3÷15 afternoon. Just diagnosed. Hadn’t been to this location in years. Ryan had my order ready to go, portions were fine, something tasted a little off in the Broccoli Beef, and now two days — so far of dealing with this — ug! Tried contacting Health Dept but the site just takes you to a big chart of departments with unhelpful titles, guess they really don’t want you to contact them.

I love Panda Express and I usually go to Kahala and Kapahulu. But, I don’t like the Waikiki location. Their service is terrible and expensive compared to other locations. I ordered their broccoli beef and Kung pao chicken. My kid ordered the orange chicken and rice. They gave me a very small portion for both of us. I got broccoli and only few pieces beef. I didn’t order just broccoli. My kid told me that her side of white rice was larger than her main meal, orange chicken… the rice should be a side, so shouldn’t there be more chicken? I usually cannot eat it all, but I was able to finish it all, which is very very unusual. Very small portion. There is no Kamaaina here and no drink refills. One time, they said that they had no more rice, we came back five minutes later and then the orange chicken was out! They said wait 3 minutes, but it took 10 minutes!!! I am very disappointed in this location, considering that I love this restaurant.

Excellent cooking. Im a panda fanatic amd this place hits the spot. There was a gentleman there leading the packing moving the line and the portions are huge. Slightly over priced but worth it.

Just like every Panda Express for fast fast food. Known for the great customer service we received while visiting!

My 5 year old loves Panda Express. So when we were on vacation, we saw Panda Express in the food court and my daughter asked for it. Yes it was expensive and the food was ok. I don’t expect much from Panda Express especially in a food court.

I’ve been to a lot of panda express locations and I actually like the food and selection. This particular location though is overpriced compared to other panda expresses, even the one at Ala Moana is a tad cheaper than this one. My visit came at a busy time. There was a long line up in front of and behind me. When it came time for me to give my order, I picked the 2 item plus entrée. One of my items was teriyaki chicken, which they had just ran out of. I asked how long it would be before more came out. She said it would be about 5 minutes, so I said that was fine and that I’d wait for it. About 10 minutes later, it still had not come out. Every one behind had been served, while i’m left to wait for my chicken and the rest of my food getting cold while I was waiting. Finally, after she had no one else in line, she went to the back to get the chicken. There was no apology for the delay, no offer to at least refill my drink while I was left waiting. Pretty poor service on this particular occasion. I’ll probably be back because it’s the only panda express in Waikiki. But I hope the next time, the service won’t be so bad although the price will still be one of the highest for a panda express.

I LOVEPANDAEXPRESS. I can never get tired of it ! But … This time… I did not enjoy it at all. I don’t know where to start… First of all, the prices are pretty expensive compared to other locations. The customer service isn’t that good. I was waiting to give my order but the guy taking my order and the manager was talking about something so i waited about 5 mins. After he was done talking to the manager, he didn’t have a good expression on his face. I ordered chow mein, orange chicken, and mushroom chicken. The look of the food didn’t seem appetizing. I usually don’t finish it by myself so I share with my little brother. But this time, the portion of the food is soo small, my little(7 year old) brother can finish it by himself ! So over all, over price, bad service, horrible quality food, and small portions. I rather travel miles away to a different pandas for better everything !!! Not going to come her in a long time.

Panda is my go to food when I’m not sure what to get at a food court. You know what to expect from the quality and the price and you know you probably won’t be disappointed. It’s not the best Chinese food, but it will do in a pinch. I love the fact that they are willing to let you try a bite of anything before you buy. A nice touch. The issue with this location is the same issue that you will find in most, not all, but most chain restaurant in Waikiki. The price! As many others are pointing out here, expect to pay a premium to eat at this location. The quality and service are the same, but the price will be higher. So, if you are in Waikiki and just have to have the Panda, go for it. The food will be what you expect. But if you want the food at a more reasonable price, go to one of the many other locations close by.

Everyone has eaten at Panda Express, though this one is a bit more expensive. I ate here because I couldn’t make a decision on what to eat at the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center Food Court. There a bunch of different shops but I decided to go with what I know. One thing I like doing at Panda is splitting my starch, I usually get half fried rice and half chow mein. Usually anything with chicken is pretty good. I think its funny how they sometimes make up dishes with some weird asian name. Like a special technique in a kung fu movie! It’s fast food chinese with a heavier price tag

I can’t give this a low rating based only the fact that it’s expensive. Rent is expensive in Waikiki, so that’s an expected factor in the cost of any food here. I’m only going on taste with my review and I didn’t find the taste worthy of a low rating. The Orange Chicken, Honey-Walnut Shrimp and Beijing Beef are all pretty sweet without much heat, which is what I expected. The Chow Mein was cooked well and didn’t have any bad after-taste or dried out noodles. The Orange Chicken had a strong ginger taste, which I enjoyed. The shrimp was incredibly tender and the Beijing Beef was tangy and had red peppers and onions in it. Overall it was way too much food for lunch as I ended up only eating half of the served portion, but it was pretty tasty for Chinese fast food. Next time I’d like to try the fried rice and the eggplant+tofu dish. What would make this better? Let me know ahead of time about the extra $ 1 charge for the shrimp dish and charge less than $ 2 for your smallest soda. I can understand high prices, but don’t slap them on after you order.

Yeah the place was an expensive option for Panda Express. Nine-fifty for a three-entrée combo. The food was what you would expect and the crowd waiting to order may be a sign of its success against others at the food court. I would pass in the future. ML

I love panda express. But this location… you get the same thing. but EXPENSIVE! so if you are looking for panda, go somewhere else. This one is located at the royal hawaiian shopping center. the only panda in waikiki so I guess it’s main customer is the tourist:(maybe they should offer a kaamaina price when showing IDs… then I will go back.
