Pa’ina Lanai Food Court

good place to go if you dont want to spend a lot. We went to pearls for korean bbq/​chicken but surprisingly most people/​tourists went to panda express…

Ended up here one night since everything in the Waikiki area had a 1hr+ wait. Not happening with a hungry 2 year old in tow.
At the time of our visit, there was curry, phở, korean bbq, sbarros, maui tacos, ramen, panda express, subway. Lots and lots of people but not too bad, plenty of seats and quick turnaround. Good number of high chairs too. All workers were very helpful.
Curry place sells Japanese curry, Thai curry, salad, and hayashi. Japanese curry was good, some spice. Chicken katsu could use more meat, sauce was best part.
Ramen Ezogiku was very tasy for a food court/​fast food place. Recommend if you visit. Shio ramen and garlic shrimp cold noodle were very good. Gyoza was ok at best.
Close enough to Waikiki hotels that you could come down here, get food, and still beat room service times.

I am a HUGE Banana Chingalinga fan. So is my wife. She also loves the fish tacos.
We have been to 5 Maui Tacos locations this year totaling over 10 visits. There is a lot to like about Maui Tacos but on at least 5 of these occasions the restaurant has been out of bananas. TIP: We have learned that we need to call ahead to make sure there is no banana shortage in Hawaii. No biggie.
We called ahead and then were delayed so we arrived right at closing. When we tried to order 4 Banana Chingalingas for our group, the young lady confirmed that we were the people who had called ahead AND THEN talked the cook into making them for us in spite of our ill timed request.
o She saved our evening!
o She deserves a raise/​promotion!
Here is why this place gets 5 stars:

Stopped in during primetime lunch hour to grab some lunch before I went to work in the evening.
Its a food court with ethnic selections. I chose the Phở Factory. See my review for them… this review is for the food court. The court is on the second level in the middle of the shopping center. Its open air, so depending on where you sit, some tables can get wet if it rains.
I like the selection of take out places, and theres even a bar too. Bathrooms are accessible and easy access to the street!
There are a bunch of workers who clean off the tables rather quickly. I never have a problem finding a table!

Wow, the choices are way better here now! (Wasn’t too impressed in 2012.) We had our choice between the Waikiki Shopping Plaza food court and this one, but surprise, surprise, the WSP’s food court has been replaced with a single clothing shop. So, we ended coming here twice on our 8 day trip.
Cheap eats and so many choices at the second level food court. So glad that we came here, though. I had food from Champions Steak & Seafood and Phở Factory– both were excellent and I’d go back to both, too. Hubby also tried Mahaloha Burgers (features fresh, never-​frozen, beef from the Big Island) — said it was really good. The combo from Phở Factory was under $ 11, a Vietnamese chicken sandwich, a shrimp roll, and a drink– and it was so yummy, too. I had a mini fish dish at Champions but I couldn’t finish it because I had a little food bug towards the end of our trip. One of our friends also had something from Sbarro.
Also here: Curry Café, Kenny’s Hawaiian BBQ, Maui Tacos, Panda Express, Panya, Sbarro, & Subway. Five-​O Lounge (right next to the food court) allows other food to be brought in too by patrons, which is pretty cool. Other restaurants are located throughout the shopping center, as well.
Lunch (TIP: get there early to get seats, or have someone in your group snag a table for you, makes it easier) is more packed than Dinner. High chairs are available (those go fast, too). There is a clean, but busy, bathroom on the same level. Atmosphere is very nice (this shopping center has come a long way, was very ugly in 2005). Open-​air, so there are birds trying to find food crumbs. Our little one was mesmerized by the birds.
Yes, we’ll be back again.

Fancy shmancy food court! With birds near the table?!

This is the food court in the Royal Hawaiian shopping center, located on the second floor in the middle building, building b.
Pa’ina Lanai that has 8 great eateries: Panda Express, Ezogiku, Sbarro, Kennys, Yummy, Maui Tacos, Tacone grill and Paradise Café. You are sure to find something. The variety ranges from Mexican, local, Asian to a simple sandwich or salad.
There are tons of chairs and tables which look very comfortable. It looks very clean and there’s bathrooms right nearby too.
I haven’t been able to dine here yet which is why I gave it only 3 stars, but when I do, I will surely update my review and rating! ^_^*~

This is a pretty busy food court as its in the middle of a very popular and busy downtown shopping location. It is on the second floor. This is a good place to grab a quick bite to eat without putting a big dent in the wallet.

the paina lanai is a food court that is similar (but with less selections) to ala moana center. the food is the same but it cost mabye one to two dollars more for being in waikiki. the food court offers four free hours of parking validation if you purchase from them. here’s the list of vendors.
