Okay the chef I love to follow has left this restaurant and is no longer working here. Probably not coming back here to eat anymore.

We get there and the place is totally empty. First bad sign. So I think it’s superbowl sunday so I give them the benefit of the doubt. Use the restroom and huge giant mosquitos flying all aroundm haven’t seen anything like that since I was in the Philippines. Second bad sign. Walking out of the restroom I see the kitchen door hanging off its hinges and almost falling off. Third bad sign. My wife is so thirsty but no water because the ice machine is broken. Fourth bad sign. So we order Abalone soup $ 12.95, Salt & Pepper squid $ 11.95, Ginger Onion Chicken $ 11.95, Char Siu Chow Funn $ 8.95 and Deep Fried Stuffed Tofu $ 10.95. First comes the abalone soup. Not bad but tastes a little funky like something is freezer burned or old. Second up is the salt & pepper squid. Not bad but oily and oozing oil also. Next up is ginger onion chicken(like steamed fish but with chicken) which is luke warm and not so good. Then out comes the chow funn which is oily and a really small portion and not so good. Kind of blah tasting with very little char siu. Then comes the deep fried stuffed tofu which was not at all what I was expecting. These were regular soft tofu pieces dipped in batter and then deep fried. Usually stuffed tofu is the already fried ones then stuffed then cooked again. These were like tempura stuffed tofu. This was the worst as it was an oil soaked sponge and hardly edible as the sauce was just gross and made the whole thing taste gross. Smelled the oil and the taste lingered all night long. Just not good. The total came out to $ 55.20 with two rice and one soda. Plus a $ 5 tip. What made us go in was the buy two entrée aned get one free but with the quality of food so bad I don’t think you would want a free one. Will not go back again as it is a rip off and the food is horrible.

First time here with a group and the service and food were great! All the dishes were flavorful and delicious. Only thing is we doubled a few dishes for our 10-person group and I thought the portions were a little small(they looked like a single serving) so that could use improvement. But our waitress gave us complimentary almond float which was a crowd pleaser :)
