Myth Hidden Legends

This is a MUST SEE SHOW! It’s very different from the other shows i’ve seen on the island, in a good way! I loved everything about it. The story telling was not boring at all, if anything. it was very attention grabbing and intense! I was so into the show the entire time. Not only are the performers great dancers, they are great actors too! The singing was amazing, the costumes were awesome, their performance overall was SPECTACULAR! I was entertained and interested the entire show.
Prior to being seated, they have a little teaser outside which was pretty exciting.
This show is very powerful! I would def bring my family and friends to experience the Myth Hidden Legends.

As a high schooler, i feel that its time my generation puts away the electronics and come see Myth Hidden Legends. It is very important for us, citizens of Hawaii, especially of Hawaiian decent, to have knowledge of our roots and culture. Myth portrays exactly what we all should know.

Extremely great show

Authentic, original, and mind-​blowing. MYTH is not just a show, but it’s a journey through the Hawaiian culture. The Hula. Omg. These dancers have to do some hard numbers all night! I have not seen another show with as much creativity and cultural relevancy. I am so grateful that Manaola and Alii Entertainment put in so much heart and soul in creating the show. If you are looking for a tourist trap of foo foo drinks and cellophane grass skirts with coconut bras, go somewhere else. But if you are ready to indulge in a Hawaiian journey, and be wow’d by the theatrical presentation, go to MYTH. And don’t forget to check out the Manaola Hawaii merchandise! Unique and sacred geometric designs made in Hawaii!

I had the fortunate experience to attend the new show, Myth, at the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani’s Ainahau Showroom. Being a huge supporter and advocate of Hawaiian culture,
I was so pleased to watch a show that was so true to it’s culture and yet, so entertaining. This is a show that will not only attract our tourists, it is also for our local community that will appreciate a celebration of our unique Hawaiian heritage and culture. This is a must see for anyone who can appreciate all forms of Polynesian dance showcased with perfection!

«Myth» — Exhilarating modern theatrics stunningly put together and the result is a show about Hawaiian and pacific islands mythology. Infused with state of the art costuming, the mythically engaging storyline leaves the audience with an indelible memory. The imagery of ancient mythology is brought to life. With incredible music and an elaborate stage set, all the audience will forget the show is In a ballroom, and if others share my experience, they will be completely mesmerized from start to finish. Speaking of the start-​I recommend getting there early and not missing the lobby pre-​show. This is a theatrical experience and worthy of accolades! The heart and soul that EVERY performer and crew gives is contagious and connects right into the soul of each audience member. In an era of rap and junky tv, this is art; on the island of O’ahu, unique and to be cherished.

I really enjoyed the show. The dancing was my favorite part. Great storyline and costumes. All the performers did an amazing job and the staff who greeted us were super friendly. Thank you Jamie for making us feel welcomed.

Having been to a number of Hawaiian evening shows, Myth Hidden Legends was one of the best I have seen! The hula was spectacular, featuring a quality, talented and beautiful team of dancers. The costuming was breath taking, some of the most unique and exquisite one could see. The closing fire dance had the house shouting at the top of their lungs! If someone is looking to experience an incredible mix of contemporary and traditional hula in an intimate atmosphere, while also learning about Hawaiian legend culture, you will SURELY get your money’s worth with MYTH!!! This production is more of an event than a show. I was way way more entertained and stunned than any major theatre musicals like Lion King, with their giant cast and musical production that costed a fortune to produce. This very passionate team of local hawaiian young artist show complete dedication to the arts, using abilities that can only come from heart to be bold and creative enough to raise the level of performance, and experience offered in Hawaii’s entertainment world today.
This fresh new point of view show cases a very rare oppurtunity to witness the seperate realm of Polynesian tradition and island folklore, a time capsule re’opened by loving faithful guardians who are «Current» in todays world .
Costuming design is fashionable fused with tradional, eye catching looks suggest runway worthy yet epic translations of authentic portrayal of ancient hawaiian history and legendary deities.
I felt very proud of our heritage being staged with goddesses that are so stunning and dramatic, as well as the male demigods so convincingly strong and expressive as they should be.
The artistic direction, choreography and talent in «Myth“waikiki can stand up to almost any major spectacular review whether in Vegas, broadway or Disney in my opinion.
The dancers are very attractive as well as talented and represent our people as beautiful wholesome and ethnically diverse…, so yes, eye candy .
The featured singer «Starr Kalahiki» makes surprising appearances and delivers gorgeous vocals and clear lyrical intonations that completes the shows musical theatre intentios and integrety that all will enjoy. I was enchanted by some of the originally composed songs, they painted wonderful pictures with their lyrics and tunes, as well as some delightful island favorites. The Laieikawai made me cry. Accompanied by Maunalani, miss Aloha hula, a breathtaking hula soloist.
The visitors to our islands should all see this as an essential interest to help make there vacation here more memorable as a truly unique destination with its fascinating Mythological and spiritual nature.
To know our people as well as our islands, is to discover our aloha, our laughter, our tears, our dreams and nightmares, and to know that maybe our pass is still presently live and well.
I’m almost sad for any one who dosent get the chance to see «Myth», its inspiring, and represents the very ora of nature around us in Hawaii, and reminds us of why we love it here.
So I recommend we all support this, skip a concert, or Cirque solei, and check out «Myth“at Princess Kaiulani while its still there. We dont have anything else like this here. So tell somebody.

This show is absolutely amazing! I’ve seen so many other lu’au type shows, and cheesey hapa haole type productions, but nothing like this. You can feel such energy and passion from every performer, it’s unreal. Culture vibrates throughout the entire showroom, and you will not leave disappointed.
The cast is absolutely gorgeous… seriously drool worthy. And the costumes are amazing. Manaola (the creative director) is a genius when it comes to choreography and costumes! What he produces is simply amazing.
What I also enjoyed was the preshow entertainment at the «Myth Lounge.» Its free, and you get a brief glimpse of Poliahu and Pele battle it out. Really cool; I don’t know any other production that offers such a thing.

The era of the cellophane hula skirt and commercialized poster Hawaii should look to this show for a glance into a new wave of Hawaiian cultural expression. Every aspect has a meaning… x2.
The warmly welcomed visitor and kamaāina to arrive early is greeted with a moving art show that transports you to another time. A time when story was the textbook of learning. Not shy of action, adventure, or drama this show will entertain. My advice? Come experience a Hawaiians point of view.

Went to see the show «Myths» last night at the Princess Kaiulani Hotel. The show was fantastic – a must see for all tourists and locals. Beautiful costuming on kane and wahine dancers – go see the show!

AMAZING NEW SHOW!!! This is a must see. Talented cast with a great taste of the Hawaiian Culture. This show is inspiring to locals, and a hidden treasure to those visiting the islands. The costumes are fabulous, beautiful dancers, and great music. You won’t be disappointed!

All around awesome show filled with the best looking and talented dancers on the island. A must watch for all.

An emotional roller coaster, full of hawaiian knowledge. Very educational. Intense, definitely a show worth watching.

If you are looking for a new experience in Hawaii, I would definitely check out MYTH. What I love and appreciate about this show is how focused it is on HAWAIIAN culture – and how incredibly captivating, fun, and beautiful it is.
The «MYTH Lounge» before the show is creative and modern – something like I’ve seen in New York – moving, living art, and I’m excited to see Hawaii moving into that caliber of entertainment. You can also visit the Lounge for free! It is in the lobby before admission into the show and a cool preview that sets the mood.

MYTH Hidden Legends is definitely worth seeing!!! Whether you’re a Hawai’i resident or visiting on vacation, you will enjoy and appreciate this captivating production.
