I always get seated pretty fast without an appointment. Hairstylist starts my color right away and I’m out of there in no time. If I need a trim, owner does as I ask; I can’t complain. Prices are reasonable. Just how I like it!

Apparently this isn’t the place to color your hair. My grandma went to get a retouch. They only colored half of her head plus she barely has hair yet they charged her $ 40?! Ridiculous!

I been coming to mytan for years now and I did try other places and liked it but I always like her more I keep coming back. I get my hair straight here and she always do a good job plus the price can’t be beat she would tell you how much it would cost before she even do it which is good because you don’t want to be shock later about the price like other salons. Sometimes she gets very busy so it’s best that you call her for appointment or call her and ask if she’s busy at that time. There are a couple of girls who help her but they mostly cut the guys hair or they are more like a helper. I would keep coming back for a haircut and straighten. She does talk alot with her coworkers in her language but that doesn’t bother me at all.

Me and my family have been loyal customers to Mytan since 2006… She never disappoints us!

I’ve decided to cut my hair shorter and based on Unilocal reviews Mytan hairstyling was recommended so I thought I’d give it a try. I walked in around noon today there was no line. I got serviced right away. Annie helped me with my haircut and it was fast and easy! Took her 5 minutes to do my cut and I wasn’t disappointed.

I’m pretty much a regular here. I get my eyebrows done here every month for brow maintenance. Although I’ve noticed my eyebrows be looking really thin lately. lol But at least it aint be looking bushy on a daily since I can’t even upkeep my own eyebrows myself. I wasn’t blessed with awesome shaped thick eyebrows so I pretty much have to deal with thin eyebrows since my hair doesn’t grow properly without it looking like a hot mess.
I don’t know what other places charges only $ 10 for it an eyebrow wax so I’m always contempt when I come here to do my routinely eyebrow fix. I sometimes do my upper lip as well when I see that it becomes noticeable that my hair is growing out. Feels so nice to have a smooth upper lip. Like a baby’s bum!
I’m not really a high maintenance type of person when it comes to doing my hair. I probably cut my hair once or twice a year depending on how I feel. I’ve been coming here for years to do my layered or Japanese cut hairstyle and I’ve always had a decent experience here. For my haircuts, I always have it cut by the owner, Mytan. Prices are not overpriced and really reasonable. Always call to see if she’s available because sometimes it can get busy.

I love Mytan! She’s so awesome, she waxes my eyebrows & cuts my hair. Very reasonable prices & very fast! Never go anywhere else!!!

I always go here for my highlights and hair trims. Mytan is great and never let me or my mom or my brother down whenever she or her employees cut our hair.
She does waxing for eyebrows and she can do it in a comfortable way.

Don’t go here! we was on this side of the island and my husband and myself got a hair cut from here but at separate times. On those occasions, we both did not like the outcome of our haircut that we had to go to our usual salon to have them fix it.. I don’t know, I did the thin out and texturized hair cut but it just looked butchered. Very uneven and some hair on the back looked awkward. my hair did not look thinned out nor was texturize like how it was suppose to be. my husband wanted a simply haircut. A fade… But he didn’t get that. some hair was too trimmed or buzzed too much from the other side. And when she tried to fix it it came out more worst. Good thing he got his money back… they did apologize but what can that do when it’s not them that will be walking around with a messed up hair cut… Hmm we gave it a try. Not for us.

My boyfriend and I comes here every 2 weeks for the past 5 months and they never fail to satisfy us. Haircut and eyebrow wax are perfectly done. Staffs are very friendly and they know their clients very well that they know what you want to be done. We don’t usually do appointment, as long as you arrive before they open then it shouldn’t be a problem. We always walk in and prefer to be as early as possible. Don’t catch on with their busiest time or else you will wait longer. Looking forward on every appointment with them.

I’ve never been one to have a regular salon. Never pay too much. Never go back to a place. With that, I will go back to Mytan! I was looking to get my haircut at a reasonable price. I had no idea where to go! Super creepy… but I was keeping my eye on girls hair. Finally I saw a long layered style I really liked! I’m pretty shy, but I was desperate and asked her where she got her hair done. Surprise, surprise it was at Mytan!
A few weeks later, I called in and asked if they had available appointment times for that day. I’m not sure who was on the phone, but they had told me to «come in whenever» so I did. When I got there, not even 30 minutes later, there was someone getting their haircut and someone waiting… I haaaate waiting. From what I saw, only the owner cuts women’s hair. The other two workers took on the men’s cuts and hair coloring. From reading the other reviews I inspected the floor space, and its so true… they do not keep the place very clean. Cut hair everywhere! Well I waited for 2 people to get their hair cut in front of me and then it was finally my turn after about an hour! WORTH IT. I brought in a picture of long layered hair and explained I didn’t want my hair too thin or with too long of layers (like many asian hairstylist usually do). She went right to it! It was a quick 20 minute cut and at only $ 19!
At first glance I loved my haircut. A couple days later I noticed my long bangs are connected with the shortest layer so it looks like a giant chunk is cut out of the side and I was not happy… but then I realized it wasn’t because of how she cut it, but my bangs are just an awkward length for the style. I will definitely be returning here for my next haircut!

I finally convinced my mom to go to MyTan to get her hair fixed bcs her her stylist really did a number on her hair. So since she was looking for a good stylist I referred her to mine. She made an appointment for 1. We get there 15 mins prior and 3 ladies are sitting watching a Korean drama. No one looks up and my mom had to make herself be noticed and tell the lady in the front (whos back is facing us to watch the tv) that she’s in for her 1 pm appt. Mai will be back shortly. So we sit down and three other people walk in. No one is being helped. These ladies are all sitting and watching tv. 1 pm passes. No sign. 1:15. Not here. 1:30. Still not here and the ladies are still watching tv. 1 person walked out earlier. 3 clients remain. I’m really disappointed. My mom goes back up asking where she is. Once again saying she made a 1 pm appointment with her over the phone this morning and she’s still not here. Now that it’s past 1 and finally heard the word «appointment» she makes a phone call and all of them get to talking in Vietnamese. Granted they were probably talking about the appointment and the time. All the while, upset at the really terrible customer service, I look around. These ladies are so busy watching tv that I notice the chunks of hair on the ground that haven’t been swept up. Im talking chunks! And not only at one station but multiple. I wish I took a picture. Standards have obviously changed and the priorities as well. TV is more a priority than the appearance and cleanliness of the salon, let alone informing clients about delays or what is going on in general. Maybe I would’ve even let things slide a bit if they were to acknowledge the fact that they have nothing to do but sit and watch and be productive when the owner’s gone… nah, highly doubt it. Now I have to find a new stylist, even though she is really good. Just because their standards drop doesnt mean I have to drop mine. I’m still bothered by the chunks of hair still sitting on the ground as we walk out… I look back and they went back to watching tv. Chunks of hair still on the ground…

I have a regular stylist that I’ve been going to for years but when I wanted to have my hair re-​highlighted, he was closed. It was one of those things where, for some reason, I wanted it done right away and couldn’t wait. My friend suggested Mytan. I loved the way her hair turned out but I was really hesitant and skeptical because only one person has been allowed to touch my hair for the past 8 years or so.
Mytan’s salon is pretty spacious and overall clean but most of the posters on the wall of different hairstyles are pretty dated. It was pretty apparent to me that Mytan runs the show. She might be just about the only one in the salon that speaks English fluently. She also took a look at everyone’s hair before they got serviced to make sure what they wanted and explained to her employees what they wanted. Mytan also mixed and prepped the color for everyone who wanted to get their hair colored. She is either thee expert or is a heck of a micro-​manager, maybe both, I’m not sure. Nonetheless, Mytan is very nice and does great work. She also does waxing too!
I’m glad I gave Mytan a try because her prices are very reasonable and I’m pleased with the results. I would definitely return and recommend giving her a try, especially if you’re looking to save some money. She charged me a substantially lower price than any other salon I’ve been to so yay for Mytan!

My eyebrows have been looking like an eyebrow lately & I finally made the time to correct that! My girls are regulars here whether it’s for hair or eyebrow services so I figured I’d give them a try.
Didn’t really make conversation with the two women who waxed & plucked me (yes, there were two. You need two when you have a unibrow going on: P) so I didn’t catch their names, but I think they did an overall good job. I just wish they left my eyebrows a little bit thicker. My fault for not saying so. I was probably too spoiled going to those high-​end salons with girls who don’t think that thin is in.
Parking was a little crazy at 5:45pmish on a Thursday, but eventually people left McDonald’s & I got a stall. One more thing: I can’t complain about the price… $ 10.40 tax-​included. Can’t go wrong!

i always come here to get my haircut done and my eyebrows waxed. i love how she listens to me when explaining what i want. sometimes it gets very busy over the weekends so i suggest for you to go on weekdays. she never disappoint me and she’s the only person (Mytan) who i trust with my hair =)

I LOVE MYTAN! This salon was recommended to me by an old co-​worker/​friend who went to her religiously. This was during the time the Japanese haircut became a craze. I wanted the Japenese hair cut and I wanted light brown/​blonde highlights. Being that my natural hair color is pitch effin black, she recommended that I color it brown instead of going hardcore & straight damaging my hair by shocking it with blonde on the first day of coloring. I love it that she cared about the treatment of my hair, so she explained to me about waiting a month later after I color.
The end results: Perfect. There wasn’t a day where I would walk across the street and a lady would yell out her window asking me where I got my hair done. Even my customers and non-​customers would ask who’s my hairstylist. She made me feel like a star =)
