A decent but very small market. Bakery, coffee guy, a wood-fired pizza place, a honey vendor(whose honey was fantastic) a crêpe vendor a couple of vegetable folks, two smoothie places and a fish vendor(**warning about this one below!**) was about all they had. BIG warning about the fish vendor: he sold us what he called Hawaiian Butterfish, Walu — which, after googling it when we got home, I gather that all locals are probably well aware is called the«Ex-lax» fish and has virtually been banned in Hawaii(and was in Australia and Japan). I asked several questions about whether the fish would be acceptable to feed to my 2 year old son based on the mercury content, and the vendor said absolutely NOTHING about the miserable case of diarrhea I COULD have given him had I fed him this fish! What a terrible person. Very disappointing. Boycott this fish vendor! He clearly has no moral compass!

Came here recently as a spectator during a friends’ Brazilian Jui Jitsu tournament. Got here in time to experience a wonderful little farmer’s market in the upper parking area of Kaiser High School. 9am to 1pm. Thoroughly enjoyed browsing and sampling the unique local vendors selling jams, honey, fresh produce, crepes, pastries, popcorn, fresh baked bread, homemade butters, locally grown meat, plate lunches, gourmet popsicles, etc. Small, but a variety with quality. Unlike the tourist trapped KCC market that was once interesting, but now ruined by bus loads of Japanese spectators; this market is local and well worth supporting. Buy Hawai’i first!
