All the sit-down restaurants in HNL are run by a single company, and thus all their food(and booze) is massively overpriced thanks to how monopolies work. Thus, the average consumer is left with only food court dining options. We opted to grab dinner from Lahaina Chicken Company instead of boring old McDonald’s, and I must say that it definitely wasn’t shabby for an airport dining option. No matter what/how much protein you get, your meal comes with three sides. I got a quarter of roast chicken with corn, pasta salad, and some veggies. My boyfriend ordered three pieces of fried chicken(they gave him a fourth for free to help clear out their stock) with his choice of sides. The corn and pasta salad were passable, but the mixed veggies were completely bland. I barely touched them, but that was fine since there was already so much food in my box anyway. Suffice to say that it was waaay too much food for both of us to finish. However, the price was right since our combined total came up to just $ 25. The food is nothing outstanding or even memorable, but it gets the job done: you will end up very, very full for a completely reasonable price.

Airport restaurants are notoriously known for over charging but being a vegetarian who wants to eat relatively healthy here is worse. For a vegetarian plate of steamed carrots, green beans, salad, corn and dressing is $ 10.99. Don’t recommend you seek this out but if it’s a toss up between pizza or burgers and fries, it’s healthier. This is near gate 56, they do have ample seating 2 stars

The roast chicken was tasty and moist. The mashed potatoes and gravy were as good as any fast food chicken place, and the macaroni salad had to be home made. One of the better airline terminal meals I’ve had.

Over a three star experience due to: Pros 1. Friendly service 2. Reasonably priced for airport food. 3. Decent selection of proteins to include mushroom chicken, fried chicken, roasted chicken and beef. 4. The Coleslaw was pretty good Cons 1. Cold corn 2. Lukewarm mashed potatoes 3. Cold Mushroom chicken If only their meals were served hot, their food would rock!

We wanted something not too heavy before our flight and this was the perfect place. We got the roasted chicken combo meal and it came with 3 sides. The quarter chicken was a good size and juicy

I got the 2 protein combo which came with 3 sides for $ 15. The lady recommended chicken and prime rib(she called it roast beef) so that’s what I went with and macaroni salad, mixed veggies and fried rice. I’m glad the lady working cut off the dried ends of the prime rib because it wouldn’t have tasted good. She weighed the amount she cut off and poured gravy on top. It’s so soft and flavorful, I wish I had gotten just prime rib instead of the chicken. The chicken is big, it reminds me of a rotisserie chicken… Kind of on the dry side though and not very flavorful. The steamed mixed veggies were two types of beans and carrots. Fried rice was ok, nothing special but the macaroni salad is very good. If you’re looking for something to eat, get the prime rib and macaroni salad from here!

Had a stopover in HNL on the way to Maui. Checked Unilocal and saw LCC had good reviews. We ordered two quarter chickens with fried rice and mashed potatoes. The chicken was delicious! And I don’t mean just for airport food. It was moist, juicy and flavorful. The fried rice and mashed potatoes were also very food. It is a little pricey, about $ 15 per plate but being its in the airport its expected. This is an excellent option if your hungry and in the HNL airport.

Great ‘za but very slow and undermanned staff. Don’t look for smiles here. I must say though, they are *very* generous with the cheese. Place is clean but people in line are leaving for faster places.

Asked for one margarita and one beef pizza. When they handed me the pizzas they told me that I ordered two margarita pizzas. I clarified for them what I ordered. They told me I was wrong. I then asked for my correct order. They then handed me a margarita pizza and a sausage pizza. Told me that is what I get so just take it. Guess the customer is not always right. Avoid this place simply because of the staff. Sad that this is the last image I will have from a wonderful trip.

Fast food counter at the airport that serves fried chicken, roast chicken, roast pork and roast beef with sides. I tried the roast pork and fried chicken with corn and mashed potatoes. The roast pork was tasty, soft and crispy skin. The fried chicken was ok. The skin was crispy and meat was fine although there wasn’t much taste. The sides especially the mashed potatoes were super salty. Altogether the food was decent although super heavy and salty.

This is what I patiently wait for every time I go to the airport! I discovered this spot 2 trips ago, and the fried chicken is still as good as I remember it. With your protein you get 3 sides(fried rice, corn, veggies, mac salad, etc.) My favorite is two piece dark meat fried chicken with mashed potatoes with gravy, corn, and coleslaw. Crispy chicken skin and juicy, tender inside. You can literally hear the crunch as you bite into it! You’ll make all the people on the plane jelly lol. Gravy on the potatoes is very rich and thick. And the sweet corn will compliment the savory potatoes. Coleslaw is a bit more tangy and cool. Can’t wait to come back next time I visit :)

Was so impressed eating here after landing that I planned a meal before takeoff a week later! As other reviewers have noted, the staff is helpful, the food is good, and the portions are generous. For a picky eater like me, the option to fill up on carbs and meat is perfect. Overpriced? Yes. And depending on the time of day some of the meat is a little dry. But it’s still some of the best airport food you’ll get at tamest price, and you’ll be happy and full on your flight.

Everyone has some kind of vices… Some people like to smoke, others may like to drink, still others may like to gamble… but as for me… my vices in life are… and I LOVE them in my life. They are(in order) — 1. Jules Y. 2. Custard Pie & Frrrrrried Chicken Well, as you can see… it’s a toss up between the custard pie & fried chicken… depending on how I feel that day, will determine what I like better. But of course nothing can replace my sweetie — Jules Y. I was running hard on Maui today… didn’t get to eat lunch, so when I got back to Honolulu I decided to stop by an old favorite of mines… The Lahaina Chicken Company! It been tooooooooooooo tooooooooooooo looooooooooooong! Ever since the fire at the the food court at the Ala Moana Shopping center… The Lahaina Chicken Company(as well as Sbarro Pizza) has never reopened, therefore leaving me stranded, & deprived of one of my favorite fried chicken joints. Today, for some reason when I was walking through the inter-island airport terminal, I spotted The Lahaina Chicken Company, and a light bulb just lit up in my head for frrrrrrrried chicken!!! I walked up to the counter & asked the lady if I could buy a single piece of fried chicken breast(I love breast! I guess I like white meat), but unfortunately they only had a wing & thigh left. I then tell the lady that I’ll take the wing… What can I say about the fried chicken??? It was Fraaaaaantastic!!! For $ 3.03 I got a fairly big piece of chicken wing! Yeah, I know the airport charges a little more for their food… but at least they didn’t skimp on the piece of chicken! The fried chicken wing was meaty, juicy, crunchy, and just plain delicious!!! I only wished they had breast when I was there… oh well… sometimes you have to make due for what you have! And I must say… I got my frrrrrried chicken fix!!! A message to — The Lahaina Chicken Company… when are you gonna reopen in Ala Moana Shopping center??? Hurry!!! You’re losing out on my business!!! Lol!

Stuck at HNL for a seven hour emergency layover, this unassuming food spot turned into quite a treat. The quality is a bit better than what you’d expect looking at the steam tables, and the staff were helpful in making suggestions, and one of them even went back into the kitchen area to make sure that my order was made using the freshest sides. Chicken, prime rib, roast pork, were what we ordered, and they delivered. This would be the spot to get a heartier meal if you need it.

Hmm… airport food… What to get, and is it edible;) Luckily, I pulled up the Unilocal app and it guided me to Lahaina chicken company. Understandably, the reviews might be a tad harsh due to food being pre made, lacking quality or overpriced. I needed something in my stomach. I was planning on starving, and eating after I left the airport. I tend to have discomfort and nerves while I fly. Well, I strolled into the chicken spot and it wasn’t busy at all. They offered an abundance of food with three sides, but there was no way I was going to sit comfortably on a long flight full. I chose the chicken salad. The lady took a whole chicken and halved it. With half of it on the board, she chopped it heavily, and placed it upon the salad you see in the supermarket prepackaged. I was quite pleased with how generous she was with the chicken. Some places tend to be stingy when it comes to a salad. I paid and brought it to a booth to eat. I had drizzled some Tabasco sauce to give it a kick. I have to say, I was relatively surprised. The chicken had some parts that were dry, but there were other sections where it was moist and tender. I would come back here as the food court does not really offer much healthy options. My salad was filling and not bad for being in an airport.

Next time I’m in town, this will be a must. It came down to one decision … «Do I feel like tipping after I’ve spent a small fortune on this island?» No … no, I do not. There are only less than a handful of choices here from what I could see so this seemed like the best bet. The ¼ chicken and 3 sides deal was the best bet, I wouldn’t recommend the prime rib. It did look good but after it cooled down it was almost way too rare for my taste. I know that’s how it should be but I didn’t want to risk anything before jumping on a plane for 5 hours.

I love to eat here whenever I am at the airport. Yes there are cheaper lunch wagons out on the perimeter, but I choose to eat here even at the price. You can choose from a variety of meats and starches. I like to eat: For meats 3 piece fried chicken plate with dark meat Roast dark chicken or combo with rib eye I stay away from the pork. Too crispy and dry for my liking. Mushroom chicken For sides Rivera Mix Cole slaw Carrots Peas Corn I’m not a big fan of the rices or potatoes.

One of my favorite lunch spots at HNL International Airport! The chicken and fresh salads are ONO! Best bang for your buck with size and value. Burger King combo costs about the sane yet at Lahaina Chicken Company you get a protein entry of choice and 3 sides! My favorite side is their cole slaw. I often get a side of slaw to go when I bring lunch. Great friendly crew at the InterIsland Terminal close to Gate 58. If you are hungry and on the go, dis is da place to know!

Date of visit: 8÷9÷2015 I opted to grab a couple of pizzas and pasta dishes before flying out since the small $ 8 chicken bowl sold by Alaska Airlines was probably going to leave Cam a bit hungry. The line for chicken was also long, so I went through the pizza line. Spaghetti and Meatballs. This was probably better warm, but after a couple of hours, it was still edible. The dish only comes with two meatballs, which I think is a little stingy considering I paid $ 10 for it. I spiced up the sauce with some of the parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes. Sausage Pizza. Cam seemed to enjoy his pizza, but he also might have just been hungry. I had a couple of bites and it tasted like a sausage pizza. I saw that this pizza was also freshly made and the lady put a huge handful of sausage, so that was nice. Overall, this was definitely better that the chicken bowl we would have gotten during our flight, but it’s definitely overpriced(as all airport food is) and they are kind of stingy with their meatballs.

This is 1 of 2 Lahaina Chicken Company locations in the Honolulu International Airport. This one is located right up front near the entrance to the terminals, next to Burger King and is probably one of the best places at the airport to get a good hearty meal. Yes, they’re overpriced but that’s to be expected at the airport. Their other non-airport locations aren’t as pricy. They have different proteins available: roast chicken, fried chicken, roast beef, roast pork and baby back ribs. Their sides aren’t bad either: mashed potatoes, steamed vegetables, corn, and macaroni salad. Their food has good flavor and the portions are pretty large so I don’t feel so bad paying a little over $ 10 for a plate. I’m definitely a fan; Lahaina Chicken Company is one of the best options for a good meal at HNL.
