La Creperie

Formerly La Crêpe Café, this place hasn’t seemed to change much other than getting a much needed fresh coat of paint. A new vibrant mural graces the inside wall of the café and the tables /​chairs seem much more reliable and sturdy than before. The menu board itself has also gotten a facelift. While I do appreciate the modernness about it and the uniform lettering that makes things slightly easier to read, I do miss the artsy chalkboard menu that was unique to this place. But enough about the décor, it’s the food that’s really important!
The change in name has not affected the deliciousness of the food. Likewise, the menu appears to have most if not all of the same items. I’m just happy that they still serve the one item that I always order – yay! My usual Le Bacon crêpe tastes just as good as it did before if not better, (less pepper – double yay!). They are also very generous with the portions in each crêpe and neither I or my friends who have come here have ever left disappointed.
The staff also looks like the same and they are still just as friendly. I even had one of their former (La Crêpe Café) stamp cards and they let me redeem it for a crêpe. So note to folks who still have those cards, don’t throw them away – it never hurts to ask :) Overall, great food, friendly service, and the ambiance in here takes you away from they busyness of Fort Street – I’ll definitely be coming back again!

Owners and workers are very friendly! Love the Chicken Pesto highly recommend it. Great place to also catch up with friends, can’t wait to come back soon :)

Per my husband «Dope shit. They get five stars. I had The Special (banana, strawberry, melted butter, sugar and maple syrup and whip cream)».
I had a taste and it was very delicious. We watched them make the crepes fresh right in front of us and it took about 15 minutes as they had a long line! Definitely want to try more of their menu next time!

We tried them at the ward farmers market. They weren’t particularly busy and the menu looked nice. The pricing seemed ok for what we saw walking away.
The lady taking the orders was nice but not overtly friendly.
A little disappointed with the Berkeley crepes. The crêpe itself was soggy, not even a crispy edge. The veggies were cold when we cut in, even the three very thin slices of tomato were cold. It was well seasoned with the pesto.
Now we are searching for something to drink to get the doughy sensation out of my mouth.

I finally bit the bullet and tried a domesticated crêpe at La Creperie when they were at Makeke Kapolei. I was a little put off by the price for my selection «The Warrior Breakfast» (egg, mozzarella, baby spinach, green onion, mushroom, cherry tomato, grilled chicken breast, turkey, bacon, homemade red salsa), but I liked that it would be customized to my preferences (no green onions, salsa on the side), and I felt like it was one of the healthier choices that interested me at the farmers’ market that day.
It takes a while to make crepes, and truthfully, it took quite a while. Not only was there a line of people waiting, but poor Matt kept forgetting to exclude the green onions and had to remake my order a few times. Michelle was sharp enough to catch his mistakes, and I really appreciated that.
I haven’t had any other crepes in the US after my binge in France a few years ago (where a savory selection is typically made with buckwheat flour and called a galette), so I can’t compare with anything else we get here. But I did enjoy the mix of flavors that I had at La Creperie. Other sweet selections were very tempting, but I needed dinner. The crêpe was so piping hot, that I needed 2 papers places to protect my fingers. It was tasty, and so huge that it actually made for a snack and another meal the next day. Leftover crêpe was not bad, either. Bottom line, it tasted good to me, and for 2.5 meals, $ 10 for a crêpe isn’t bad.

Are you ready!!! What I thought crepes were versus what La Creperie was selling at Street Grindz was two different things. I ordered the Texican to start, which was on the savory menu and it da’ bomb! This was something different than anything else I had ever had at one of these events.
As soon as I was done I went in for the Romeo & Juliet crêpe for dessert. Ah whaaaaaat!!! Sweet goodness to belly, perfect way to finish the night.

Ran in to these guys today during their first trip to the Makeke Farmers Market. Best food there, hands down! The crêpe was amazing. I hope they come back more frequently. Highly recommend!

Michelle is awesome! I had her come for my son’s school Teachers Appreciation Luncheon, and the teachers absolutely loved it. We had an «Apple of My Eye» theme so she created a few crepes to go with the theme. She was so efficient, accommodating, sweet, and organized. Loved that she was quick to email me back when I had questions. Her crepes are so yummy, too. I love the «Warrior» and the «Romeo & Juliet». I would totally hire her to do another one of my events.

I contacted her directly for a special event in order to thank some of our closest friends who had helped us organize and plan our wedding. We wanted to have a small get together with a private chef at our side to cook us fresh crepes. Michelle was a cinch to work with and was in regular contact with me leading up to the event. I even requested a couple of specific ingredients to see if she might be able to come up with a recipe or two for the event. She taste tested some and gave me feedback and we selected the final menu from there!
The crêpe batter is the BEST crêpe batter that I have had on the island of Oahu. I have a Parisian friend who makes me fresh crepes when she visits the islands, and La Creperie’s batter is definitely authentic French. The quality of the ingredients are fresh and superb; not overcooked, and extremely flavorful!
I cannot believe how easy this was! I received an invoice with the final cost of the items and was able to pay by either check, cash or credit card. So many vendors today don’t have the ease of paying by credit card, and don’t have any other options but «cash only». It was very convenient!
Michelle can do wonders, and I cannot wait to have another party just to hire her on as our crêpe master! (If you hire her, see if she can do her toasted pecan La Tour Eiffel special!) I will definitely be going back to La Creperie for my French themed parties! My mouth is still watering from these crepes, from the elegance of the flavors and the kindness of Michelle. Looking forward to finding La Creperie around the island!

I got the warrior crape the two eggs were not cook at all, neither was the spinach and the cheese was cold. I love crapes but I would never go back to this place again. Worst crape I ever had for $ 10.00 US dollars.

Amazing crepes. Came to Hawaii on vacation and stopped by a market and tried a couple of the crepes. They were amazing! Made right in front of you, such delicious flavor and great presentation.
I tried the honey dream which had strawberries, bananas, honey and cinnamon. And I tried the chunky monkey which had pb, Nutella, and banana. So tasty, melt in your mouth. Wish they had some of these in Dallas.

I met these guys at a catered birthday party recently, and was really impressed by their service, attitude, and of course… crepes! Michelle was so pleasant, not to mention talented. I’ve never had crepes before, but I can’t imagine they can get too much better than these (try the «Popeye»). It was a perfect addition to brunch-​style birthday we were at.

I love crepes and the ones I had at La Creperie were perfectly done and delicious! They were made to order right there in front of us with fresh ingredients and it was super quick. We had a savory and sweet crêpe and both were hits with the husband and kids. Will definitely be on the look out for them again. A must try!

Took my kids to the opening day of Aloun Farms pumpkin patch, best part of the trip was by far the crepes we had with bananas and Nutella!!! My kids gobbled them up like it was their last meal! Recommend to all!!!

Simple. Fun. Fantastic. The warrior breakfast crêpe is meal fit for a champion. Salty or sweet, whichever you feel like, you won’t be disappointed. Be sure to go early before they run out!

While on vacation in Honolulu, HI, I had the best crêpe ever from La Creperie. Crepes at La Creperie are made with fresh local ingredients; I had my crêpe at the Kakaako Farmers Market, which is where many of the fruits and vegetables for the crêpe came from. The crepes are reasonably priced, especially considering the fresh ingredients.
The owners are a great couple, they were very friendly and passionate about what they do. It was fun watching them work as they made the best crêpe I have ever eaten. I will definitely look them up the next time I’m in Honolulu.
