I first became acquainted with Bernard to update my resume and through those interaction, I discovered how knowledgeable and experienced he is with business consulting. I recently started a small business and needed advice… Bernard came to mind and I am so thankful that I did! He provided me with guidelines and shared knowledge that only someone seasoned with experience could. There were a quite a few things that I didn’t not think of and I am now utilizing. I of course needed to know a budget if I could afford him but after some questions, he told me his approximate cost. Thank you thank you thank you Bernard! After being out of work for two months and never hearing back from jobs which I thought were lock-​ins based on my past work experience, I reached out to Bernard at Kaneahanui Management Consulting. I read on their website that they offer a free consultation session. Since I had nothing to lose, I figured I take advantage to see what I could learn after reading all of the positive reviews on Unilocal.I received a response back the next day and scheduled a meeting with Bernard for the day after that. The chance to sit down with Bernard for an hour was well worth it. He looked over my resume and a cover letter I had written for a job I had applied to. Bernard was quick to point out what I could do to strengthen both pieces. He showed me samples of resumes that he worked on as well to give me an idea of what I should aim for. More importantly, Bernard gave me confidence, something I desperately needed after feeling like my search for employment was a hopeless and futile effort. In the end, I decided not to opt for another session with Bernard; however, I wound up spending the next three days constructing a brand new resume from scratch using the knowledge he instilled in me. While I never heard back from the job Bernard helped cater my resume for, it definitely helped me finally find work as well as set me up for the future if I were to apply for another position within my new employer internally or change professions all over again. The difference between my resume before meeting with Bernard and afterwards is like night and day. I would like to thank Bernard again for the time he spent with me. His services are highly recommended. I just wish I had met with him much earlier than I did.

The mere thought of updating my résumé and cover letter is nothing short of a nightmare. And it was the furthest from my mind as I had already planned on retiring with my current employer. I just read that updating your resume yearly is a must. I reached out to Bernard from Kane’ahanui Management Consulting and the response was quick. I send him my list of accomplishments and by the next day, the first draft was complete.
The website is very user friendly and was able to decide what my needs were. Bernard is full of advice. I had the pleasure of sitting down with him and ask questions, review the resume and he made sure it was to my liking.

For many of us, updating our resume takes a back seat when we are comfortable at our current employment positions.
However, it is always good business practice to get it updated and modernized so that it is ‘ready to go’ whenever need be.
And that’s what I did. I was interested in getting ‘promoted’ internally at my company and seeking a higher level position, however my resume was outdated by at least 4 years.
I had the good fortune of working with Bernard at Kane’ahanui Management Consulting. He was able to review my resume, provide insight, tighten it up and update it so that I was ready for not only an internal promotion but also for any other career opportunities that I could potentially be seeking as well.
