Eli custom made my wedding ring. It is absolutely gorgeous. He is very meticulous and quality oriented. I needed it resized after seven years of marriage and two kids later. He had no problem increasing the ring size and now it fits perfectly. Very happy with his work.

Eli is an amazing jeweler whose prices are very reasonable. I originally wanted a Tacori setting from the wedding ring shop and was recommended by a friend to go see him because he can make anything. Within 2 weeks, I had my dream ring in platinum for thousands less. I would highly recommend going to see Eli and Chris for all of your diamond needs.

I did not have a great experience here. He tried to get me to give over an expensive piece of Italian gold jewelry when I had been told it was ok to just have its value appraised. I was told the future is uncertain, so why not sell it now. This made me feel as if my potential vulnerability was being preyed upon. I looked him in the eye and replied, It’s certain enough for you to be gaining a 50% profit for the gold you are buying. That’s a pretty hefty profit. I won’t go back there. If you have gold in the form of resalable jewerly(ie. it’s in good condition with pretty handiwork), please don’t sell it to these gold buyers who will just melt the stuff and pay you a portion of the base weight cost. I am currently researching jewelry appraisers who will pay much, much more for decent gold jewelry, as they plan to resell the piece as jewelry. I am learning just by reading Unilocal reviews that it is possible to get closer to 90% of what a piece is worth, rather than 50%(or even worse, depending on which gold purchaser you go to.) Do your homework! Read the reviews for highly ranked jewerly appraisers in Honolulu, and you will see what I mean.

Please, if you really value your jewelry, do not have it serviced here. I was referred here by The Honolulu Trading Company because they said Eli had the right tools to resize my kinda ring. I called around to other stores before coming here but the others had a little longer wait so I came to Eli. My ring was valued at 9k. Eli showed me a minor flaw in my 1ct center stone(only viewable with diamond magnifying glass) so I felt he was being honest and I could trust him. Price was surprisingly really low to size down almost three full sizes. While my ring was being fixed I talked my mom into bringing her really old ring in to get fixed. Picked up my ring and there was a noticeable gap between one side of the center stone and the other side. Extremely noticeable. Also, the prongs on one side appear to be melted out of shape so they dont match the prongs on the otherside. Eli said he never touched the center. Went home and at night, visible to the naked eye, there is a long cut down the side of my center stone. This can only be done with the right tools and improper usage! And the center stone was moved so now that flaw is no longer near the prong it used to be. I cried so much that night:(I tried to complain to Eli but he owns the business so he’s his own manager and he blames it all on me! Contemplating sueing him but how can I prove it?! Now I’m so scared of getting it appraised again. I plan on buying a new ring in the distant future sometime. My mom’s ring: he told her he would make her ring the same width all the way around since it was losing gold. And he told her he would give her the same hawaiian etching all the way around. He lied. When my mon told him it wasn’t as promised his wife jumped in to back him up and said that’s what my mom ordered. Then he told my mom this was a different ring and that he had hers upstairs, he would get it for her if she wanted a refund. She said yes. She waited while he went upstairs and when he came back down he said I dont have it anymore. So, basically he forced my mom to keep that ring:( Please, dont go here to service your jewelry.

I just visited JES today to update the appraisal for my beautifully designed and created engagement ring made for my fiancé. A one-of-a-kind custom princess GIA certified cut with two heart shaped white diamonds set exquisitely on a bold platinum band masterfully done by Eli himself. And, besides getting an appraisal Eli did an awesome job cleaning, buffing and polishing the ring to look brand new again. As the day we picked it up. I would highly recommend seeing Eli and Chris Saban for ALL your jewelry needs. They are friendly, honest, sincere and caring people who give you excellent customer service, outstanding value and extraordinarily fair prices. They also have a very extensive line of settings, bands and pendants. Along with a wide assortment of white and naturally colored diamonds of many shapes and of many sizes. You will not be disappointed by shopping, comparing and choosing JES for all your jewelry needs!
