Yesterday, I went to this Jack In The Box through the drive-thru and wasted 10 minutes of my life with someone who didn’t have common sense. I ordered a drink and was given something I didn’t order. Mind you, I am from the south, I’m VERY respectful, patient and I never come out character… and on this day, I was close to going bananas on a Jack In The Box employee. Me: *Gets to the window* Employee: Your total is $ 2.20 Me: *Pays with credit card* Employee: *Hands me drink* Me: Excuse me, m’am. This is a regular iced tea. I ordered a raspberry iced tea. *hands employee back drink* Employee: *Looks confused* What do you mean raspberry iced tea? Me: The iced tea with the raspberry flavor. Employee: *Still Looks confused* *Asks another employee for help* *Looks at computer* Ok, I rang you up for a regular iced tea, so the raspberry iced tea will cost more. Me: OK, that’s fine. How much do I owe you? Employee: *Rings up new order* You owe $ 2.95. Me: Ok, should I just give you the difference of $ 0.75? Employee: No, your total is $ 2.95 Me: But I already paid for my last drink that I just gave back to you. Did you void that last transaction? Employee: *Looks confused* Me: *After a minute of waiting for her to figure out what to do, I hand her $ 0.75* Employee: *Looks confused* But you owe $ 2.95, not $ 0.75. Me: If you voided the last transaction with the incorrect drink that I gave back to you, I’ll gladly pay the $ 2.95. Employee: *Looks confused* Me: Do you want to just give me back my $ 0.75, void BOTH transactions now, and then we can start all over with the order? Employee: *Looks confused* Ok, just give me one more quarter and we’ll call it even. Me: *In disbelief of how clueless she was* *Gives her quarter* *Drives away thinking she just got me for $ 0.25* *Thinking, this drink wasn’t even worth the trouble*

The food is good but the customer service most definitely needs improvement and the bathroom and sanitation annnnd the dinning room, also the over all cleanliness of the restaurant needs to be managed better! A smile and a welcome comes long way also helping the customers and staying in your position helps, customers and myself were waiting to be help while the other staff worked mainly on drive through.

This location is pretty average despite the 2 floor design being rather cool, if I lived in town this would be a hangout for me and my friends for sure as the employees seem to forget/stop caring about you once you go up to the second floor.. . we could have a full on internet party up there and the only way they would know is if they looked at the feed for their 1980’s security camera. Anyway, the staff here are quite friendly but don’t seem to pay attention 100% of the time, I asked for water and got fruit punch(not that I’m complaining) which was kind of funny and weird at the same time. The food is pretty average to Jack in The Box, fresh and very flavorful with the customary explosion of sauce that destroys your hopes and dreams of leaving without having to wash your hands and I would be happy to give them a 4 star review. So why is it a 2 star review? Cleanliness, there was dust and food debris all over the place, tables were crooked and I had to wipe down the one we were using, still, that’s normal for a busy restaurant in town right? Still worth 3 stars for sure. What bought them down to 2 was the fact that as soon as we walked in our feet were instantly stuck to the floor, and I don’t mean just in one area where someone might have spilled a soda, no the entire first floor was like walking on those paper sheets that come off of a lint roller. An employee mopped while we were there and I was like«Oh! Good, the floor will be clean now.» Nope.. . still sticky.. . In short I do recommend this location still, it was just way bellow my standards for cleanliness against other fast food locations around the island.

What’s to say. Its JBox, it’s open 24×7, and it’s God awful though this location worse than most as often get still partially frozen curly fries and the cooks seems to like doubling up on sauce; every and all sauce. No comment on particular menu item, it’s a chain, I’m sure you have it before(and if not, don’t start)

To the midnight shift guy, I’m doing this review on you dude. In sorry that the rest of Jack in the Box has to suffer in reviews because of you. I know this review may not slow down the amount of customers there but dude you suck. Me and many friends went to the drive thru after a good night clubbing and hanging out and just got the worst experience ever. I know a lot of people who work your grave shift and ain’t disrespectful. On top of that, you messed up our orders twice dude and you have the nerve to go and give an attitude. Quit your job dude if you can’t handle the heat and customer service this isn’t for you. Give this job to people who want to work even if the pay isn’t enough.

So muss Burger schmecken.

You can always count on Jack in the Box? I refuse to give a fast food joint a 1 star cuz you have to give them the benefit of the doubt. Food is ready in like ¾ minutes. However, my first job when I was 15 yrs old was jack in the crack. My job: Grease guy. So I specifically know when the grease should have been changed ummmmm like yesterday. Common man. Taco’s at Jacks are the shiznit if they are hottt and the grease isn’t old. You must change your grease daily or your fried foods will be horrible. Grease was not good. Normally thats all I buy and lucky enough I had a shake that I really enjoyed so Imma hold on and provide 3 stars. I will be there again because its the closest fast food to my job. Please be better on the next visit.

Unilocal 365 Challenge 2015 #13/365 J-Box is kind of like that friend you don’t really like but always seem to hang out with anyways. I mean, who can say no to 99 cents for two tacos filled with questionable meat?! I know I can’t. This location is the closest one to my house, so I always come here when I’m trying to get my J-Box fix, but it seems that most of the workers here barely speak English. Sometimes it’s hard to understand what the drive-thru operator is saying, not because of the crappy speaker/microphone, but because their accent is very heavy. Have patience. The value menu that J-Box boasts is unparallelled, even to McDonalds’ dollar menu, which is slowly fading away. As far as quality, I would say that J-Box is higher than McD’s, but still below Burger King. Being that this is fast food we’re talking about, I’m not really saying much. One thing I never find myself doing is dining inside of this location. There’s always just too many homeless or crazy people inside for me to feel comfortable. It’s cool that this location has an upstairs, but who really goes upstairs in fast food restaurants anymore? Especially when there isn’t a playground like those old McDonalds’ used to have. Ahh… Those were the days. However, now are the days of the quick, greasy bite when you’re hungry(or hangry), drunk or hungover; and even though the quality of the food isn’t all that great, J-Box does hit the spot. As a company overall, I do appreciate that Jack In The Box is always trying to introduce new items with specials such as the Sriracha Burger or various monster tacos. As a location, I feel like the only reason I come to this Jack In The Box is because it’s right down the road from my house… Not that I would get better quality J-Box items from another location.

Worst customer service I have ever seen at a fast food restaurant, or anywhere else for that matter. Upon my first visit I witnessed a manager screaming at the top of her lungs at her employees. No wonder my second visit consisted of disgruntled employees being as rude as they could possibly be without straight up insulting me and my friends, who were being completely cordial through the entire ordeal. I do not recommend anyone visiting this establishment unless it’s necessary. The food is fine, the people are not.

As a couple, this was our first and most likely our last visit to jack in the box. As you walk through the doors of this establishment a questionable smell overpowers your senses and you are forced to bear through it. Once we received our meal, my girlfriend’s burger constantly dripped all of it’s ranch all over jacks box and some of the lettuce and tomatoes fell out as well. My burger, however, did not drip… so basically there is no consistency within their finished products. Also don’t get your hopes up because jack is no where to be seen. We spent a majority of our time searching for his whereabouts. We assume jack was in control of the music playing throughout the restaurant because it was constantly on point. We did not appreciate the fact that their were only workers of Asian decent working behind the counter. In short, there needs to be more diversity. We did however get a surplus of fries. Probably the equivalent of 4 to the power of 3. Overall we recommend you visit for the experience. You most likely won’t enjoy your visit but at least you might encounter jack if you’re lucky.

I’m usually a very positive and generous reviewer(maybe I am being here as well, as two stars is a stretch), but this time I can’t help myself. About Jack in the Box: I love this chain, especially having grown up on the East Coast and not having them around. The company has had a renaissance and the food reflects that– lots of unique choices, delicious spices and sauces, and quality ingredients. It’s a fun fast-food place. This location made me genuinely upset. I went here for a fun dinner I felt I deserved, and ended up only enjoying the food itself. I was not greeted nicely on arrival, which was strange. I asked for the restroom key to wash my hands before as I always do, and I felt attacked as if I was simply coming into the restaurant to make a mess of the bathroom and leave. After using the sink anyway, I went to the counter, which was empty. Three employees were standing in the back talking. One yells to me «let me know when you’re ready.» I made my choice, let them know I was ready and waited until a very unfriendly and downright rude employee took my order. When my food was ready, it was prepared in a to-go bag, which was the opposite of my request. After being put on a tray I requested ketchup(barely given any), and BBQ, which was refused since my burger didn’t come with it. I would think a business would want a customer to feel good about their purchase, not get upset about sauce(which I love to have on my burgers). The dining room was mostly clean– the tables needed wiped. The bathroom was okay. The burger, fries, and iced tea were the saving graces last– all delicious, but would’ve been nice with my sauce! I will not eat at this location again.

Before I begin, I am completely aware that this is a jack in the box & I really shouldn’t expect much, if anything, from them. You know if you’re headed to jack in the crack, your standards are low. With that being said, seriously? Seriously jacks? Long gone are the days you can go in with $ 2.50 and come out with a meal with enough buttermilk to last you a week. Tonight, I played DD for my sister while she and her husband went to a concert. I picked them up at jacks. We sat at the drive thru for a pretty long time, which is to be expected since there was a concert. Finally get to the drive thru & I can barely understand the drive thru lady. Which is whatev, I can handle that. We ordered 5 meals, which comes out to about $ 50. So we get to the window & the woman is giving me our food, I asked for some buttermilk. All she responds with is «twenty five cents each.» Do what?! I spend $ 50 on food and you can’t GIVE me some buttermilk for your burned, dry ass fries? PSSSHHH! Weak sauce. Not saying jacks was ever quality food, but damn, the food sucked. Big time. My burger had zero flavor. My brother in law got the teri spam burger, he said it was okay, but this is also the guy who’ll eat just about anything, so take that how you will. Anywho, I think this experience is the straw that broke the camels back. I don’t think I’ll return to jack in the box again. Not even if there’s a fire! Not just this location, any jack in the box. It’s just gross. It’s not worth the clogged arteries. Id rather clog my arteries somewhere with flavor and where employees don’t act like not charging for sauce will be taken from their paychecks. Oh yeah & the parking sucks. There’s like 5 stalls & if there’s a line for the drive thru, be prepared to chill for a while.

I’ve watched the commercials like everyone, and today I thought I would give it a try while waiting to get a tire repaired across the street. I walked in and was ignored by the staff the entire time I checked out the menu. Since I was getting zero attention, I checked out the condition of the food service area and was absolutely disgusted with the grease, discarded food and trash on the floor. Needless to say, I elected NOT to subject my colon to this injustice.

Horrible service, I mean the woman cashier just walked away from me when I was handing her the money. That meant my order was not even processed and then she came back 5 min. later and acted like nothing happened. She had a crew boss shirt on. I never had a problem like this at any other jack in the box on the island. I will never go back to this location.

This location has limited parking, even though it is probably the busiest Jack in the Box on Oahu — due to being across the street from NBC. I like how I asked for a ham sourdough breakfast sandwich and they told me they don’t have ham. So I ordered a bacon instead and it was so shriveled and small pieces. Not even worth it! The weird part to this dilemma was that a friend ordered a breakfast Jack 10 min after me and they had ham… What’s up with that?! I also asked for buttermilk and I got charged, during purchasing, but someone asks for butter milk after me like someone asks for more napkins or ketchup; for free! Not cool cashiers. All in all, the only good deals are what you use with coupons and text messages! Don’t forget to complete the survey for two free tacos!

… all I was ono for was CURLYFRIES and a shake. yep… late nite munchies … pull up to the drive thru a half past midnite and sat in the line for 15 mins before ordering. the bf got a brekkie sammie and so with my curly fries and shake, we made it a meal! got to the window, grabbed our grub and was heading out. a quick look-see in the bag and my heart(set on curly fries) dropped. next to his sammie and the 2 buttermilk was a fricken hashbrown! … noooooooooooooo!!! who eats hashbrowns with buttermilk?! sooooooo not gonna sit in that line again for fries. my hopes of satisfying the crunchy-salty– curly goodness is now dashed… . thank cracks and your amazing order checking for starting my «good» friday on the wrong foot.

We frequent this place often for lunch, but lately, it has been lacking with their service, always long lines, maybe due to less staff, and the staff does seem to be less seasoned than their fries lately. it is still a clean, convenient, and affordable lunch in the Kakaa ko area, if just seems Jack is slipping in the service dept lately…

I was surprised at how poor the service is here at the counter. The girl helping me took my order and repeated it to me half wrong. Seriously, it wasn’t even busy. When my food came out, she failed to give me any sort of hot sauce for my tacos, straw for my milkshake…

Prior to the Sunday Funday movie at Art’s, Thomas O. and I decided to pick up some food just in case everyone still had the munchies. So here’s what ensued… Roll up to the Speaker Menu. Mae: Hi Can I Take your order Thomas: Can we get 20 tacos Mae: 10 orders of 2 tacos? Thomas: YES! Mae: Okay Thomas: 5 Jr Bacon Cheeseburgers Mae: Okay Thomas: And 1 Breakfast Jack Mae: JUST1? Me and Thomas: BAHAHHAAHAHAHAHHAHAAHHAHA, yes just one. Mae: Okay, let me confirm your order. 10 orders of 2 tacos, 5 Jr Bacon Cheeseburgers, &ONEBREAKFASTJACK. Best drive through conversation hands down.

After eating here, I think that I am one of the few that actually eat in the dining room. Most customers just go through the drive through. I know this because I can actually hear them placing their orders and driving away. It’s their loss, because if you eat in, you get unlimited free refills on your soda! One thing that creeps me out though is the constant beeping of their machines. Makes me think that a bomb is ticking its way down to explode. Just beep beep beep! It was interesting eating there tonight. The cashier was also the cook! After taking my order, the cashier walked to the back and made my food, then came back out front and gave it to me. I didn’t understand why this happened, because there were four of them working.
