I used this company last minute after another company was booked up the day I wanted to move. The previous company quoted me 700 which was a bit much. I had a 2 bedroom 1 bathroom apartment in Waikiki and was moving to Kapolei. When I called J&Sobs I was told it wouldn’t be anywhere near that price and that they’d quote me when they came to move me. I was called the day before to confirm and told they’d be there at 930am to move me. I’d already packed and moved a decent amount to my new place using big Rubbermaid totes. Unfortunately, I ran out of Rubbermaid totes for my kitchen.
Moving day comes and no one shoes at 930. Around 940, I get a call saying the guys were running a little late so I said okay and hung up. They finally showed up at 1130am — 2 hours late! The movers were nice guys though. However, all they brought to move was themselves and some shrink wrap. No boxes and barely any tools. They used my tools to take apartment furniture. I had to start cramming things that were in Rubbermaid totes in some of my canvas bags to make room for kitchen supplies. They offered to go with me to go try and find boxes, but I wanted to move to just be done. After they took many breaks and the slowest move, we left Waikiki around 3pm. They must not have had GPS, because they stayed at the front of my neighborhood for about 20 minutes even though they had my address. They got everything unloaded and did put my beds together which was a plus. When all was said and done, it was past 5pm.
A little before 5 I was called by the manager to see how it was going. The guys were standing right there so I wasn’t going to start ripping them. I was asked to leave a Unilocal review though.
It ended up costing 600 dollars in cash only and in tipped them 60 bucks — which he didn’t seem pleased with. I won’t be using this company again or recommending them to friends.

They truly are professionals! When my brother got married, we needed their services to bring the flowers, bouquets, centerpieces, to the reception area. Keep in mind, these centerpieces were very very fragile, and mostly flowers, n delicate work that had to be handled with utmost care. They truly delivered, and were punctual! That was the biggest worry, was how to get all the center pieces to the reception area without breaking. IF YOU WANT TO HAVE A STRESS FREE EVENT? Call them, they will not disappoint!

Excellent service! I have moved about 25 times in my life and no other moving company has left such a good impression. They returned calls promptly and scheduling was easy. They gave us a great estimate, and didn’t jack up the price once they arrived. The best part — they were fast! Even a move with a great hourly rate can end up costing $$$$ if the guys drag it out. I was hoping to get one trip in, but we actually were able to complete 2 trips from Waianae to Wahiawa in a single day! In fact, both times they had the truck loaded before I even finished packing up other boxes. This is the first time I think a mover has had to wait on me! Even my mom was impressed, and she’s moved more times than I have. Will certainly recommend them to anyone looking for a quality moving company!

The best! Fast, fair priced, efficient, and a pleasure to deal with from the start. They even offered to help us pack! We moved all the way from Kailua to North Shore and even with traffic they were in good spirits the entire time. They made everything so much easier on us; they brought shrink wrap just in case anything extra needed it. The guys that showed up were very nice, and our two year old liked them a lot which went a long way with us. They mentioned they also do bulk pick up, so a few days later we called back to schedule for that as well. They always called us back within three hours. After everything was said and done they also called to check in on us. Absolutely would use them again.

We needed to move from Pearl City to Ewa Beach. We had 3 companies that came to our house to do free estimates; the estimates were up to $ 3,600. In a short notice I contacted J&Sons Moving Company and they really delivered a quality service for less than $ 500. They are really professional movers with experience and will take good care of your furniture while moving. Highly recommend them to anyone who is looking to move and care for their furniture.

J & Sons are the best!!! These guys really take the stress out of moving. I used their services twice. The first time was a really quick and easy move. I was so impressed with them that I decided to call them again.
My second move was really stressful for me. My husband was called in to work and I was left alone to handle the packing and moving. I was going to reschedule because I thought I couldn’t handle it. The movers told me that if needed, they would help me pack up my things and it wouldn’t be a problem. They even offered to disassemble our beds, desks, etc.
When they got to my house I was really embarrassed that my things weren’t ready to go. These guys made me feel at ease and went above and beyond to make the move easy for me. They helped me pack, shrink wrapped my furniture, and even dealt with my rude former landlord who tried to enter my home when I left to get the guys something to drink!
These guys are very friendly, extremely upbeat, positive and very strong!
Please be prepared with cold drinks for them, they work really hard!!!
