Good. Little bit slow because he cooks it after you order. Not like other lunch wagons. You can hear your food sizzling! Better food choices than the other average plate lunch places with their typical ho-hum menus.

Yummy hawaiian food! Iva’s is so good & he’s such a sweet guy. We had him cater our daughters first birthday. He was on time with everything needed, provided excellent customer service & the food was amazing! Everyone at the party was asking who catered & was saying how good it was. The Kalua pig was the best I’ve had. I prefer his over Ono’s anyday! My friend was raving about the squid luau, saying its the best she ever had! All my Auntys were saying how his squid luau tastes authentic, that people now days don’t know how to actually make it but he makes it perfect! Everyone was pleased including myself. I was so happy with the outcome & the decision of going with Iva! Definitely going back to him in the future. Sweetest guy ever with the best hawaiian food!

Are you craving Hawaiian food but you don’t want to spend more than $ 6? Iva’s Hawaiian Grinds is the place for you. Well, it’s actually a plate lunch wagon. It’s not the most beautiful lunch wagon, but the Hawaiian cuisine Uncle Iva prepares will blow you away. First of all, his prices are unheard of. Where else are you going to find a squid luau and kalua pork combo for only $ 6? I’ve had that three times in a row, and I never get tired of it. The squid luau tastes just like my mom’s. The pork is perfect. It’s not stringy like the kind you find in a supermarket. I also have to recommend a plate Iva calls«Bradah Yoshida’s Teriyaki Pork Plate.» Iva prepares it with sweet onions and it comes with rice and mac salad. This plate is only $ 5 and it will fill you up. I’ve also sampled Iva’s chopped steak with sweet grilled onions, which also comes with mac or tossed salad($ 6). I haven’t tried his kalua pig cabbage and shoyu chicken combo($ 5) or Waimanalo Stew($ 5) but I plan to. The prices are so low, I can afford to eat here everyday. Here’s how to find Iva’s Hawaiian Grinds: Go to Sand Island Access Road. Look for the Union 76. His lunch wagon is parked at the edge of the lot. It’s right across from the big, old and blue Kilgo’s warehouse. Tell Uncle Iva I sent you. He’s a sweet old man. While he prepares your order, he sings along to the music on his radio. I’ve been told he used to be a professional musician in the 70s and 80s. I’ll do some investigating. He has a great voice. Go there for a cheap plate lunch and you won’t regret it.
