Image, beauty emporium and salon– offers a variety of services from the normal hair salon (cut, color, etc.) to scalp treatments, facials, and waxing. Benedict and Joanne are the best, so I’ve been coming here regularly for the past year. They are both always so friendly, even at their first appointment on a Saturday morning.
Scalp treatments are my absolute favorite, not only does it get rid of major build up (which is the cause of thinning and hair loss) but it feels AMAZING! Benedict is a tri-​cologist and has a secret herbal concoction, which opens up the pores on your scalp and actually allows you to feel your head «breathe!» It sounds weird, I know, but there is really no other way to describe it. Another part to the scalp treatment, which I love the most, is the head massage! Benedict wears a vibrating machine on his hand while he massages the joy and relaxation into your brain and down your neck. You’ll see what I mean. It’s like heaven.
Before meeting Benedict I had naturally thin, «Asian hair». My father, and practically all of his side of the family are thinning or bald. So as I got older, my hair became thinner and I made the mistake of letting someone talk me into hair extensions. Thick, full, and voluptuous hair extensions looked amazing, while my hair kept breaking and my scalp deteriorated. When I decided to stop, after just a few months and take them out, I had small bald spots and major build up from not being able to shampoo well. Now, I am happy to report that my bald spots are long gone, and my hair is thicker and growing so fast! It’s crazy; the actual strand of hair is noticeably thicker towards the root and grows about an inch a month! (Far more than the 6 inches a year story I used to hear all the time)
They’ve also created their own product line, «Hawaii’s Rain Products» which offers scalp cleanse and exfoliator stimulator to use as an at home regiment in between treatments, as well as shampoos, conditioners, and facial products. All amazing.
I really can’t say enough about Benedict and Joanne. They are some of the nicest, honest people I know. Not to mention, they have totally helped me with my insecurity of possibly being bald and educated me on keeping my scalp healthy. After all, you can’t have healthy hair if you have no hair at all! I’ve even acquired the nickname «werewolf» from some friends at work– I know they’re just jealous: p

The service is fabulous and their products are all very detail oriented they really do care about quality of life and your well being.
I love their products and the attention to details. When they go to shows they are careful to choose the best products and bring it back to sell like their i10 smoothing spray and their homemade grapefruit shampoo and conditioner!
It’s awesome!!! I also love the oxygen facials, it really makes your face glow and you can feel your face tighten. It literally hydrates and smoothes out your skin.

Since walking in more than 8 years ago, Benedict is the only one who cuts my hair especially since I usually want a stylish short cut! And Joanne is the only one who I’ll go to for waxing! This place has become like a second home. Many of my friends & family members have since become faithful Image Salon goers!

I just love this Salon. Joanne is usually who you’ll see first when you walk in and Benedict is usually in the salon area. Joanne is really nice and approachable. I believe she is a local of Hawaii and makes you feel welcomed and give you info on products they carry. This is a small salon, but don’t be fooled, they get lots of traffic in there.
I work one building over and I would have never walked in if it wasn’t for a little poster in their window for OPI Shatter Nail Polish. So of course, I had to go in. She had all the colors and I bought just one at that time, but I’ve been in there 3 more times later coming out with a different color every time. I’ve got my co-​workers hook on this salon and their nail polishes. If you are looking for neon or super bright colors, this isn’t the store for you. They carry a wide variety of OPI and a few China Glaze, but more reds, pinks, blues and blacks. There are only a few of yellows or oranges. Maybe it’s all just timing, but I still like their variety.
They also carry salon hair care products, which is a plus for me because now I don’t have to go very far to get my products. Their prices are the same as other salons, if not better. At the time I went, there was a sale on their salon products, 20% off. Not most places can offer that. Not even Sephora where I usually go.
