So the first time i went here was GREAT. the owner is an amazing guy…
was very helpful and informative.
i just went in for a synthetic oil change.
i figured i go back cause i had a great experience.
when i went back to pick up my car it was $ 50 dollars more than last time.
i was like WHAT THE HECK. he said ohh there was stuff that needed to be done.
1) that’s illegal
2)now i know that
3) if THIS EVER HAPPENS TO YOU CALL THE COPS right then and there!
taking advantage of me just cause i’m a girl???
and he was like oh are you going to be short?
i was like yeahhhh ON RENT!
he was like oh okay. like no big deal kind of attitude.
all due respect to the owner, but this guy needs to be fired.

My wife was having trouble starting her car (2011 Lexus GS 350). I called Kalani and he said bring it in. He diagnosed the problem right away, fixed it in about an hour and a half, and the bill was very reasonable. His shop is the cleanest that I’ve seen. The staff friendly and knowledgeable. This was the best experience at an auto repair shop ever! I trust Kalani and his staff and have now switched over our auto service to him.

Been here a few times after being recommended by my MIL about a year ago and each time, I leave with a sense that I was taken care of and not ripped off. I’ve had several issues with my truck and Kalani has always assured me that he will take care of BIG BLUE and I would get her back better than when I arrived. The prices and ranges of services are awesome. Kalani and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. I also love coming here because it gives me an excuse to go to Libby’s…lol. Awesome place to bring your vehicle and at a decent price too.

My wife has been taking her vehicle to this place for a while so when my check engine light came on I decided to take it in. Kalani, the Owner, is not only very professional but takes the time to explain what’s wrong with your vehicle & is honest about all options. They were able to take care of the check engine light issue as well as a low transmission fluid problem for a very fair price. Mahalo Kalani to you & your team for taking care of our family vehicles & although we’re leaving the Island soon we’ll continue to recommend Honolulu Autoworks to friends & family still out here. Kalani was recommended to me by my brother who also had work done there. Their prices were less than I had been quoted at two different places. I was expecting a dirty garage, but his place was very well organized and professional. After he looked at my car, he was able to tell me everything that was wrong, what needed to be fixed, and what could wait till later. He even too pictures of the problem areas as he inspected it and sent it to me. Very friendly and straight forward. Above all, he is a mechanic you can trust. Give him a call!

The best auto center on the island. I highly recommend!!! Does the work right the first time. Great customer service and explains everything that is done and why. Goes above and beyond what I would expect of an auto center. Prices are very reasonable and Honolulu Autoworks only uses quality parts. I have been to many auto centers and none have compared to the excellence this shop provides.
Most importantly, the service rep, Kalani, is honest to what really needs to be done and what does not. This is not a shop that will do work or a job that is not needed.
Just take a drive by the shop and look inside. The place is clean!!! There is not a slew of cars pilled up. This means to be that they get the job done and out of the shop, running.
I had my AC checked by one shop. Was told I needed a new evaporator, cost was $ 1000. Honolulu Autoworks diagnosed the problem to be a $ 10 valve leak. AC is working like new now.

Honolulu Autoworks is great! They are experienced, fast, efficient, reliable and affordable. The service is excellent, the shop is clean and organized, the staff is qualified and trustworthy and the repair work is outstanding. I had to have my BMW X5 serviced and had it towed there early one morning. Within a couple of hours I got a call from the owner, Kalani, advising me of the work that needed to be done and the estimated cost. That same afternoon, my car was fixed and the bill was exactly as estimated. It runs like new and looks beautiful! (Their auto detailing is gorgeous!) I highly recommend Honolulu Autoworks!

Every time we go to Honolulu Autoworks we are treated with the absolute best customer service! They have so much integrity, never trying to charge us for unnecessary work like so many have done in the past. Our Subaru has been running great with almost 100K miles and regular checkups. You can trust these guys, they won’t let you down!

Honolulu Autoworks has already been around for a year, but completely off the Unilocal grid! That just shows what a quality company they are, and how they have so many clients and business that they don’t even need the advertising! Well, I’m here to support anyway :).
I bought a LivingSocial deal for over half off their $ 60 car care wash, wax, interior detailing package. These guys are so busy I had to schedule an appointment months in advance! Yikes! Service usually takes about an hour and a half, and I waited at the Lion’s Coffee factory which was walking distance from the shop and was well equipped with free Wifi and delicious coffee drinks! Easy peasy lemon squeezy.
Kalani, the owner, called back a little over an hour, saying my car was done early, and even left a voicemail and text message when I missed his call! His easy-​going friendly personality, helpfulness with all my billion car questions, and genuine concern for my car needs really speaks to the culture of his company; the aloha spirit. He also says they only use quality chemicals when detailing; none of the cheapy stuff you can get from superstores!
Only small complaint was that some of my windows had water spots on it and my trunk wasn’t completely vacuumed when I picked up my car… But everything else was nearly spotless, and for the price, what a great deal!
Kalani says he’ll be pumping out more detailing/​oil changing packages on LivingSocial, and I’ll definitely be looking out for it!
