Very intimate space, friendly service, and reasonable prices. Pedicure didn’t feel rushed and was very relaxing

This is my second time coming here for a mani and pedi and this is still by far the best place i have been to. Customer service is great and the atmosphere is so positive and friendly. I will make the journey from waipahu any day :)

I was looking for a nail salon around my area. I don’t know much places in Kaimuki cuz I just moved to town. Came on Unilocal to find a cheap place and came across this salon. I actually went to this salon to use the Unilocal deal, but when I went in, they had the mani/​pedi combo for only 30 bucks. My tech did a great job. Cash is preferred. Two of the techs don’t speak English. Salon is small with 2 mani stations and 3 pedi.

Got my brows tatted on here; they numbed the area but I don’t think it made much of a difference, felt like a regular tat. Took about 1hr. Women are courteous here and make sure you’re comfortable. Usually $ 250 but they were running a December special for $ 150

I came here because of a Unilocal offer ($ 50 for gel manicure and spa pedicure).
I was planning to just do a walk-​in but fortunately I looked through the Unilocal reviews and photos first. While they do accept walk-​ins, there are only two manicure stations, two pedicure chairs, and one room for waxing, facials, massages, and eyelash extensions. There are two seats to sit down on while you’re waiting but they’re more like stools (don’t have backs or arm rests) so it’s probably not a very comfortable wait. Plus, the fact that the space in general feels a bit cramped and there are no windows or TV. There was some music playing softly. I think having a TV with subtitles on would be good (I don’t like it when places blast the TV or music). I also like places with windows for natural light and ventilation.
I felt that my nails were pretty decent. However, the nail tech didn’t ask me what shape I wanted and just automatically did a kind of rounded shape (I like mine to be square/​straight). There are also small places where the gel doesn’t cover my nail at the edges or you can still see my precious nail color at the edges. Not very noticeable but still…
The foot/​leg massages were quite painful for me. I get that I’m scrawny but I still know the difference between a relaxing massage and a painful one. Also, she was also quite rough when cleaning the dirt from under my nails… kind of painful. She also forgot to do the hot towel and massage for my hands during the manicure. Maybe it’s because she was rushing because there was another customer waiting for her pedicure to get started.
My nail tech was very very quiet (she didn’t even say thank you or goodbye, just started working on the next client). I don’t like it when techs are overly chatty but I still think basic communication/​politeness is important. I think the other nail tech working might’ve been the owner (?) but she was quite friendly and nice. She seems to have a strong relationship with her regular customers and is very welcoming to them.
Other than that, I felt the cleaning was standard (not too lazy but not amazingly meticulous). I really wanted to like this place because it’s a small business but I think there are other places better suited for me.
Also, I’m not sure about the parking situation because I got dropped off and picked up but it seems like you would either need to attempt finding street parking or use the pay parking lot across the street. The salon is a little easy to miss… just look for the pink sign in between Coffee Talk and the comic book store!

Very flexible and friendly! I made an appointment with Lillian and then something came up that conflicted with my original appointment, but she was able to find still time for me that day. My only complaint is that this was my first wax (full leg and bikini) and it would have been nice to be told what is going on and why, along with what you should and shouldn’t do after an intense wax like I had just had. Very very reasonably priced! I paid less than 80 $ for full leg (including toes, belly and bottom) and a deep bikini wax. I am not down in this area much so I don’t know if I will be returning, but I definitely recommend this salon to my friends!

Lillian’s waxing is quick, thorough, and affordable! Unfortunately, waxing is a bit painful. I like to compare it to hiking Koko Head: sucks while doing it, but at the top (end)… What a KILLER view! (If you know what I mean.) Am I right?! Plus, the more you do it, the easier it gets! Don’t forget to bring cash!

I work in the next block and would always see the signboard on the sidewalk on my way to FHB. Imagine my surprise when I turned to Unilocal for highly rated nail salons and Head-​To-​Toe Nails was near the top of the list.
I emailed the business inquiring about an appointment and got a quick response from Lillian who was able to accommodate my appointment request.
The salon can be best described as clean and cozy, and the service personal. I didn’t feel like just another pair of feet in the basin. Excellent pedicure by Kim and manicure by Kathy.
I’ll definitely be back!

Yesterday I made an appointment for today, which I had to reschedule and it was not a problem. I’ve never been to Head-​To-​Toe before but I will definitely be going back! Lily gave me a beautiful gel manicure and made me feel very comfortable during a bikini wax. Kim did my pedicure and prices for all three were extremely reasonable. I had a great time chatting with the women and recommend not going anywhere else!

I had an appointment today to do manicure and pedicure set. When I walked in, I realized they don’t do fail nails or adding any nail pieces to extend for your broken or short nails. I was kinda bummed about that but I stayed for manicure part. The lady seemed really nice and did a great job giving a foot and leg massage. I wanted to do French tips for my toes and I had a bad bruise under my toes so I switched to color nail. She did a great job painting and designing to cover the bruise area.

If you like a clean, quiet, relaxing AND cheap place for a mani/​pedi/​wax this place is for you! I got a mani done by Kim and eyebrows done by Lilian all for $ 28! They were fast and efficient too. I will definitely be back again :).

I’m so happy that I found a place that is a full service salon with reasonable prices. I used to get waxed by CJ, and since she moved away, I’ve been looking for a new go-​to place for a while. I found it! Not only did I get waxed, but I was also able to get my nails done. Lillian is like a wax ninja. She was fast! She also does massages and facials so I’ll have to book one of them sometime soon.
Cathy was my nail tech. I hadn’t had a pedi in ages, but thankfully, my feet weren’t that bad. Now my toesies are just fabulous! They were doing a special for gel manicures, and since I don’t usually do mani’s, I figured «why not?» It was a special for $ 50, pedi + gel mani.
This is a very small shop. While they accept walk-​ins, I would suggest an appointment. There are 2 pedi chairs, 2 mani stations, and the wax/​massage/​facial room. Not a whole lot of space, but definitely efficient. It had a great vibe, and the ladies were very nice. I will be back to see my wax ninja!

I was referred to Head-​To-​Toe and Lillian by one of my best friends during a conversation about the ever-​trendy Brazilian wax. I’ve seen Lillian three times so far; she’s my go-​to person for waxes! The salon gives off an intimate, comfortable, and professional setting and never have I felt uneasy nor insecure.
I’m not too sure of what Lillian uses, but it’s seems less painful than other generic brands of wax I use. Her treatments are pricey, but I can tell it’s because the wax she uses is high quality!
Be sure to start up a stamp card! After a certain amount of Brazilian waxes received, you receive a free one!

I was happy with how affordable this place is – usually I spend $ 35 for a pedicure. Here it was in the neighborhood of $ 20. However, you do get what you pay for. The pedicure was pretty speedy — although it did get the job done — but not particularly relaxing. The foot massage was nice, although, again, brief. I felt like the tools used on me – cuticle cutters etc. — were a bit dull. So it was a bit painful at times and I felt like my skin was being unnecessarily pulled. However, nice for a walk-​in and the end result is the same… Though with no bells and whistles.
The studio space is small, upstairs and around the corner from Coffee Talk. What I didn’t like is because it’s an upstairs suite, there’s no fresh air, just AC. Which I feel like can be pretty stuffy with all the nail chemicals in the air.
Not a place I’d readily recommend, unless someone was on a budget and just needed a fast pedicure. Then, in that case, this place does the trick just fine.
Call first to make sure they have time — with only two stations, it’s a risk to be a walk-​in because you may have to wait.

Need your eye brows waxed? I highly recommend venturing over to Head-​To-​Toe Nails and spa because they are amazing at what they do. I specifically go to this spa for my eye brow waxing and they never disappointment me. $ 12 for eye brow waxing is a steal! There is street parking and also a meter parking lot near by for your convenience. It is located right across of First hawaiian bank and Coffee talk.

I normally go to a nail place near this one in Kaimuki to get my eyebrows done but saw this one and decided to try it out. I called first and LillIan told me to come right in. Everyone was friendly and the place was clean and bright!
Okay, I have to be honest and admit something. I have completely wild and disobedient eyebrows… They hate being tamed. I often get comments from the salon staff… Not fun :(But Lillian made me feel at ease and just asked me what I liked and how I wanted my brows to look. Definitely not the normal eyebrow experience that I dread!
They have a Unilocal deal right now as they are expanding their nail business. I am excited to take advantage of this in the future!
I am definitely coming back for more great customer service, excellent salon services and beautiful facilities!

I *love* this place! I have to update my review for the last place I would go for waxing because their quality of service took a nosedive and caused me to look elsewhere. Luckily I didn’t have to go far, and I found Lillian and her salon right in my own neighborhood! Yay!
The salon and spa is easy to find, though a little oddly situated. If you are at the Coffee Talk entrance, it is the staircase just past it towards Gecko Comics. Go up the stairs and the door to the salon is the very first door to the right. I would recommend making an appointment or calling a few hours ahead just to ensure she sets the time aside for you, because even though she does accepts walk-​ins, it’s best to be safe. Both times I have been thus far, she is the only one running the salon that day.
Inside, there are two mani/​pedi stations with foot soaks and another polish station to the front with the polish racks displayed on the wall. She has regular and gel polish. There is also a separate room designated for waxing, as well as for the massages and facial services.
I have only ever seen Lillian for various waxing services. Unlike some other salons that only use soft wax, Lillian uses a combination of hard and soft wax depending on what the area of your body calls for. This is awesome if you have sensitive skin! The cloths she uses with the soft wax are also very soft, unlike the scratchier ones I’ve had used on me in the past. Trust me, I’ve had some bad waxes and I will be back regularly to see Lillian now that I’ve found her!
Best of all, her prices are SO reasonable! She’s also a really helpful and kind lady who knows her stuff. When I asked her some of my own beauty-​related questions, she gave me useful tips. She is very focused while she works and seemed to care very much about providing the best and as pain-​free as possible (as much as waxing can) experience for her client. I know I will be coming back to see Lillian at Head to Toe for other services after my two already very positive experiences with her.
