I ordered combo with butterfish and ginger pork. It’s super delicious. The portion is good for 2 ppl. Will definitely come back again.

Was craving some sushi and happened to be driving by, so stopped in for dinner! Food is pretty tasty, portions are a bit small and the sushi menu is very limited. I tried the following: Butter Fish Ginger Pork Hamburger Steak All were very good, the hamburger steak in particular was covered in a yummy sauce. The portions were definitely very small for the price.

Caveat. I came here on a Monday around 1:00pm for lunch. I had the chicken katsu bento set that came with salad & Hazuki’s signature dressing, miso soup, rice, katsu & some tsukemono side dishes. Contrary to other Unilocal reviews, I had a great experience. Of course, coming with great company does help. My chicken katsu was cooked to perfection. It was light, crispy, moist & juicy. The katsu dipping sauce wasn’t just the way I wanted it without the flavor being overwhelming. The best part of my meal would have to be the signature salad dressing, which was a light tangy combination of ginger & pineapple. The taste is very similar to the dressing at Minato’s. Portion size was adequate. Prices were reasonable. Service was very well attentive with my water glass never being less than ¾th full.

Parking blows, menu was interesting, prices was ok, service-aite, and food-so/so. i really don’t like mushy sushi rice. If you do, this place serves really mushy sushi rice. Sushi wasn’t sooo good. The enoki bacon was ok. I mean I wasn’t too impressed. I rather spend my money at Imanas-Tei, a much better Izakaya!

Hazuki is located on Keeaumoku street. They have free valet parking in front. The service was extremely good -«5 star», the staff was very friendly and attentive. We ordered– enoki-bacon, yakitori, spider-roll, negitoro maki, and salmon zousui. Each dish was very good and prepared the same as if it were in Japan. The spider-roll is not a traditional Izakaya dish, but as all other Izakayas in Honolulu they have to add items that local people like. I did see that another Unilocaler gave them a poor rating, please don’t judge the entire restaurant on his review. Come see for yourself…

The«avocado lover», spicy ahi wrapped in avocado, is excellent. Everything else is average or below average. Don’t order the nuclear fish bomb, overcooked fish smothered with a cheese/cream sauce? I don’t think so.

My friends and I(party of 10) had dinner at Hazukis. WOULDRECOMMEND for Japanese food lovers. Very knowledgeable and attentive staff. Cant even remember the names of the all the food we ate, but our server explained everything for us as well as recommended things for us. I have NOCOMPLAINTS on any of the food we received. Everything was brought in a promptly time frame, even with a full house. We had $ 95 bottle of Sake that was great. Drinks were available from the bar next door which topped our experience here right off. Ate at Shokudos twice before and like it there too, however the staff here was much better. I believe Hazuki had a better variety of things to choose from, which I believe also change due to different specials.

I am very reluctant to write this review, as this restaurant was very good, and it was not very crowded, so I would like it to stay that way! Food was very good, excellent value. Magura was on the same level as Chu Toro. Good selection, recommend the Spicy ahi senbei. Went for both lunch and dinner, great service.

Located next to Champions, Hazuki is easily the worst izakaya I’ve ever had the misfortune to experience in Hawaii. I so desperately wanted to like this place because of its close proximity to home and its ample parking… but virtually every dish except the bowl of rice had something wrong with it. Where shall I start… The miso soup was watery with little flavor. Our udon broth was so salty that we could barely eat more than few spoonfuls. The deep fried soft shell crab in our roll was soggy and the sauce sucked. The shrimp tempura was bland and also soggy. My grilled saba was unusually oily. Every sushi we ate was not fresh except maybe our scallops. The uni didn’t have the vibrant orange hue or resemble a flower petal of fresh sea urchins. It looked like dark orange sludge and tasted like briny slop. The only reason we didn’t just get up and leave our meal uneaten was because we didn’t want to waste $ 75.
