During its 10 years of service to the Oahu community, HGS has utilized ground penetrating radar on a wide range of subsurface surveys, successfully pinpointing the locations of underground storage tanks at more than 80 gas stations as well as locating two miles of Army communication cables buried beneath a deteriorating dirt road. Ground penetrating radar is a technology able to perform underground scanning, vital to discovering any dangerous structures lying beneath the ground’s surface. Other applications include utility locating, tunnel mapping and finding rebar in concrete, necessary precautions for any project, from home landscaping to major corporate construction. History

Established in 2002.

The owner’s background as a plumbing contractor led to the founding of HGS in 2002. As a swimming pool and plumbing contractor engaged in both leak detection and sewer repair, it was necessary to locate both conductive and non-​conductive piping. A consequence of that work was the investigation of new technologies to add to the company’s «tool box.» Customers drove the expansion into the variety of technologies that HGS employs today, as well as the wide range of services it offers.
