Hairspray has been in Kaimuki for about twenty years. It is a gem!
Its a very fashionable salon with up-​to-​date cuts and color. Stewart and Jen are talented, reliable, honest and hard working stylists. Jen recently cut my long over-​processed hair into a lovely short cut that works really well with my curls and the color is amazing. I get compliments every day about how healthy my hair looks!
I highly recommend calling to schedule an appointment.

A friend recommended Stuart at Hairspray when my long time stylist was out of town and I’ve been going to Stuart ever since. I loved how my hair turned out. A whole new, and much better cut for me! Both Stuart and his wife Jen are a joy to be around; warm, funny, and welcoming. A great atmosphere, where you don’t feel lost among the crowd like at some of the larger salons. Good people who will take great care of your hair and you.

I go to April and I love her! Never was able to wear my hair down without flat ironing it (it’s thick and heavy and frizzy). I even contemplated those straight perms. April convinced me not to get it and that a good cut would do wonders… and she was right! Now I rarely flat iron my hair even when putting it down to go out at night. Been to about 20 stylists in my lifetime looking for someone who could cut my hair right… so glad to have finally found April!
She is also so great with my kids when they come and have to wait for me. The entire staff at the salon is great and always friendly.

April at Hairspray is hands-​down, the best stylist… i cheated on her for a couple of styles in the past two years and didn’t realize how much i missed her until I reconnected with her recently. I get complimented on my color and cut all the time — all because of April’s creativity!
Additionally, she gives me pointers on how to style daily to ensure optimum use of her talents :)
The location is awesome, just behind Coffee Talk and that awesome crack seed shop on 12th Ave!!!
I look forward to my monthly visits at Hairspray!!!
