I just don’t understand the need to be rude. There isn’t an online GHB menu to browse, so I have no choice but to ask the staff. When I call or come in to inquire about what a restaurant has to offer, I imagine they’d want to be helpful to hopefully attract a new customer. I work downtown and sometimes have office events where we look for catering services, and twice now I’ve gotten attitude when I’ve tried to see if you all serve something I’d like to eat or serve at an event. I guess you all at GHB have the clientele you want and need and don’t see the need to encourage friendly customer service. I’m done trying.

I was not impressed with the grilled spicy turkey sandwich on foccacia bread. The bread was hardly grilled and was much softer(almost mushy) than I’m used to for foccacia. Also, the«spicy» sauce they use in the sandwich was too salty, so more veggies besides the 1 slice of tomato would’ve helped. I think next time I’ll stick with their pastries since this is what most people rave about.

They changed their«ultra healthy» muffin and now it’s the most expensive and the smallest muffin in there. I’m sad. I used to look forward to that treat. Now it does not satisfy. I’m done with this store.

If you’re looking for a fresh bakery then here’s the place to go! Their breads and other delectable items are made fresh everyday. They have a bread with cranberries, cream cheese baked in, and white chocolate chips. It’s literally to die for!!! My friend and I came here for a quick lunch since we were in the area. We ordered their grilled cheese on multigrain and chicken salad. First off, there was wayyyyy too much cheese that it was going everywhere. Not worth the $ 6! As for the chicken salad, the veggies were fresh but for almost $ 6?! For a simple salad it’s sure manini. Overall, their breads are the only thing worth getting… Next time we’ll just stick to baked goods.

I came in because I grew up eating their Great Harvest’s white bread and they only make the white bread on Fridays. I’ve only been to one of the stores on the mainland when I was very young, so I was pleasantly surprised when I was asked if I wanted to try a sample. I had the cinnamon chip bread with the cinnamon butter and it was AMAZING. So amazing that I was almost tempted to buy the cinnamon chip and the white bread. The staff were super nice and gave me a huge portion for the sample. It literally made my day. Parking was easy and abundant. Their prices are great for the quality of bread they provide.

½ sandwich salad combo + cookie for under $ 9. You can choose any of the sandwiches and salad comes with either Italian ranch or balsamic. I love the spicy smoked turkey in focaccia. It wasn’t exactly spicy just a tiny kick to it but the bread was very flavorful. Perfect amount of turkey, cheese and tomato. I appreciated that the sandwich was wrapped, cookie bagged and parchment paper separated the salad so that nothing was touching yet all in one box. There cookies are overwhelming sweet. Double stamp Monday’s and Tuesday’s

I have been loving Great Harvest since I was a teenager in Utah. They have such delicious bread. I love how they put sunflower seeds on the crust and in breads, sooooo good! They have the BEST oatmeal chocolate chip cookies on the planet! Perfect size and texture! I love going in and sampling the breads with their delicious butter. I love coming in for a sandwich. The have the best bread for bread bowls. Worth every dime! It’s right down the street, I am going down again tomorrow for more bread. I always have and always will love this company and I love the convenient location and the customer service standards are pretty good too. All I really have to complain about is that they need to be open more often! Mahalo!

This place is a somewhat cheap and somewhat healthy lunch option when working downtown. I have to applaud them totally on the existence of the stamp card program, genius idea! Often I am turned off from buying lunch or snacks from places that will not«reward me with a star»(i.e. Starbucks.) or «give me a stamp»(i.e. here…) … so I’ve been persuaded to come here a number of times just to get more stamps in anticipation of the free lunch once I fill my card. Even better are the double stamp days! The bread here is homemade and delicious. I really love the chicken salad sandwich and tuna salad sandwich. I haven’t tried many of the bakery items but sometimes am given a FREE sample with my order :)(Do I sound Chinese right now??) Anyways, come here if you want a good filling sandwich, it beats Subway to me.

I like some of their bread. But not too impressed with their baked goods, which I have sometimes found to be dry and not flavorful. Service is also a bit lacking. Not my #1 pick for a bakery or as a lunch place.

½ California Cobb Sandwich comes with a side salad and an oatmeal chocolate chip cookie for $ 7.95. Everything was amazing! I’ve never had their sandwiches before and even before taking a bite of my half California Cobb on Italian Herb Foccacia, I was like… mmm is that it? After downing everything, I would definitely order this one again. exactly the same. I’m sorry I can’t show you guys the pics of the food. I wasn’t planning on writing a review but after that meal, it had to be done.

Good bakery that also sells sandwiches. I had a cinnamon bun and the ultra healthy blueberry muffin. The cinnamon bun was delicious, but the ultra healthy muffin(as the name suggests) was on the chewy side, not very sweet, and had like 3 blueberries in it because of the healthy ingredients. As a side note, the girl who works weekday mornings needs an attitude adjustment — I know it’s not the greatest job in the world but at least give me a greeting or a smile when I walk in!

Whoever said diamonds were a girl’s best friend was clearly on a diet. We all know that carbs(especially the extra buttery kind) is truly a girl’s best friend! Or at least THIS girl’s best friend… Great Harvest Bread Co., like any best friend, is there for you no matter the time(even at an ungodly hour like 6 a.m.!), supports you when you are on a «diet»(Ultra Healthy Blueberry Muffin), consoles you when you give up on that«diet» 4 hours later(Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffin), gives you a decked out sandwich when you forget your packed lunch at home(California Cobb), and will ALWAYS put a smile on your face. While most downtownies run to Starbucks for their morning coffee and pastries, I love stopping by Great Harvest Bread Co. early as the sweet smell of fresh baked bread begins to fill the small bakery! They offer a large variety of pastries including HUMONGOUS cinnamon rolls, scones, and muffins. One of my favorite muffins is the Ultra Healthy Blueberry Muffin. Baked without any added sugar, Great Harvest uses bananas and applesauce to naturally sweeten their batter! If you prefer the full sugar variety, I recommend the Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffin! Aside from pastries and freshly baked bread, Great Harvest Bread Co. also offers a variety of sandwiches at lunch time. The California Cobb, made with lightly smoked turkey breast, fresh avocado, blue cheese spread, tomato, and green leaf lettuce, is my favorite, but at over $ 8, it’s a little steep for me… Every girl needs a best friend and Great Harvest is a keeper!

If you’re looking to buy a sandwich for $ 7.50 that you could easily have made at home if you weren’t so lazy, this is the place for it. I was only disappointed that they didn’t ask if I wanted my bread toasted. That was my own fault, of course, but I almost never have sandwiches so of course didn’t think of it. Turkey sandwich was good. They didn’t skimp on ingredients at all and I do love a perfect ripe tomato, so 4 stars for you! The scones looked mouth-wateringly delicious. Can’t wait to go back and try one! I also got a free slice of pesto bread, which was even better than my sandwich. Double stamps on Monday and Tuesday. When you hit 13 stamps,(the baker’s dozen) you get a free bread loaf or sandwich. Nice deal!

I have passed by this place countless times. Every time I walk passed here, it always smells wonderful. Finally decided to go inside and check out what the deal is. After walking in you see tons of pastries and bread prepared. They all smell wonderful :) When you look up at the menu they have a variety of sandwich and salad choices. Decided to try the Portabella Swiss Melt sandwich on honey whole wheat bread. … The sandwich was delicious! Although it was a bit messy, it was still very satisfying. — After such a satisfying lunch, I had to come in and try the coffee with a pastry for breakfast. The coffee was MEHH definitely not a fan. Decided to order the blueberry scone. OMG I AMINLOVE! That scone was so delicious! It’s also super big and filling!

3.18.13 1132 Café turkey pesto, MOVEOVER. I already found a new fav! I chanced coming here today since I don’t really like walking South of King Street(idk why, I just don’t haha)… …but I’m SO glad that I did stop by here! A coworker had already raved to me about their baked goods(i.e. muffins, scones, etc) so I thought why not. Plus all you Unilocalers have been praising their sandwiches… I had taken a peek at the linked menu – but when I got here it was completely different?! I have to say I was really disappointed that I couldn’t try the Tuscan Chicken Sandwich… but then TURKEYPESTO(~$ 9) caught my eye. My FAV sandwich since I tried Blue Hawaii Café’s and I was so so sad when they left Remington College. This sandwich was neatly packed in a silver paper wrap held together with a toothpick – also neatly made and wayyy bigger than I expected. The bread – OMGHEAVEN. I chose the foccacia – flavorful, soft, and not too oily! The neatly layered filling-mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato, turkey, cheese – each bite was wonderful! I have to say it was a little messy AND pricey… but so worth it! I know I will be back again! :) Unilocal 365 Challenge: #077/365

I’m kinda obsessed with Great Harvest Bread’s Cinnamon Chip Bread… Toasted w/a slab of buttah and a glass of milk and I’m in heaven… Damn. I think I’m going to make french toast out of it next… Came into the store before lunch at Café 8 ½ and found out they were going to be open till 2 so the woman working offered to save me a loaf till after I came back from lunch… Sweet since when i returned at 1:45, there were no more cinnamon chip loaves available. They have a variety of sandwiches, paninis and pastries like fruit bars, muffins, and cookies. I definitely will be back to get a sammie next time. :) Unilocal365: 242⁄365
