Business Owner

Gary Galiher, the founder and senior partner of Galiher DeRobertis Waxman, began practicing law in 1977. From the beginning, Gary had a strong desire to represent injured clients and was willing to take even the largest corporations to trial to hold them accountable for the injuries they caused to his clients.

Before law school, Gary graduated from UCLA with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. He came to live in Hawaii and made Hawaii his home. Soon thereafter he became a special education teacher. After four years teaching at Haleiwa Elementary School, Gary decided to study law. He graduated from the William S. Richardson School of Law at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

In 1978, Gary began his own law firm, which would later become Galiher DeRobertis Waxman. Over his career, he has tried at least 50 cases to verdict and many more have settled on the courthouse steps. Gary’s trial skills along with his experience and hard work have obtained outstanding recoveries for his clients.
