Specialties

We are a family optometry practice, providing eye heath care in Hawaii for over 50 years. We are a member of Vision Source, a nationwide network of premier practices with the goal of giving you the best care for your eyes. Our father established the practice. As brothers, we have expanded the practice, having each been providing care for over 30 years.

We provide eyeglasses, contact lenses and eye health care. We perform screening for eye problems, like glaucoma, macular degeneration and diabetes. We treat and manage glaucoma and macular problems, as well as red eyes, dry eyes, pink eye, eye allergies and other conditions like pterygium and styes. We use the latest diagnostic equipment, including Optos retinal imaging, OCT and electrodiagnostics (VEP and ERG) to screen and manage these conditions. We also perform LASIK pre and post operative care, as well as cataract consultations and management.

We carry many lines of eye wear frames, including Guess, Tommy Bahama, Harley Da

History

Established in 1956.

Our father, Dr. Leonard Fong first began practicing in downtown Honolulu, then moved to the Kapiolani area in various locations. We have now been at the Imperial Plaza, near the Neal Blaisdell Center, for over 20 years. When Drs. Dale, then Rodney came on board in the early ’80’s, the practice then changed to Fong Vision Center, and now Fong Eyecare Center. We are currently a member of Vision Source, a nationwide network of premier optometric practices dedicated to offer the best care for your eyes.
